    Pork tenderloin and homemade chips

We tried Kozak's on a recommendation from a family member. We had the pork tenderloin sandwich that came with horseradish sauce and either fries or homemade chips and the catfish fillets. The service was good, prices were normal. It was average food. I felt like the pork tenderloin had been cooked too long and a little on the dry side. Fish was ok but my guest said she's had better. Probably would try again, not many places to eat in the area.

Great food!!! Had the BBQ Burger and it was so delish! Service was slow as we came right around 12, but overall was a nice environment and would definitely recommend to give it a try!

Held our November book club meeting at Kozak's. It was my first time here. Interior was nice and clean. Separate areas for dining or booking parties and a nice bar area. I had the BBQ grilled cheese and others had the bbq cheeseburgers. For appetizers we had spinach dip and fried green tomatoes. Our server was really great, however later into the meal her attentiveness lacked as the restaurant became busier. Food was great, dinner service starts around 5pm and the food for that timeframe looked delicious! May need to come back for dinner!

Lunch catfish with a side of slaw. Slaw is amazing btw. Green beans like mom used to make. Fries are awesome.

Again out on a search for new food and craft beer. Plenty of taps here. Had a several good beers on tap. Only 30 minutes from the house. In kc traffic. Wife had salmon burger amazing. I had the catfish fillet. Best I've had in kcmo period. That I didn't cook lol. Kids had steak and chicken tenders. All dishes are on point. Had key lime pie and the brownie and ice cream for dessert. This place is super solid. If you have a chance. Check it out. Remember nothing is perfect so be patient. And take the time to enjoy. Slaw and beans and fries are amazing.

So yesterday I made another trip up to Kozak's in Smithville. Where I found out that they had a new item on their menu. It turns out that they have added a mushroom and Swiss cheeseburger. So, I thought I would give it They start with an 8 oz patty of delicious ground beef and sear it to perfection, medium, pink, and juicy! That burger is then laid down on a lovely, toasted brioche bun. With a generous portion of sauteed mushrooms that they cover with melted Swiss cheese and add a dollop of dijonae sauce, their creation is ready for the tummy! In every bite your senses are treated to a savory perfection! Dinner at Kozak's, life is good!

We walked in and it was a very cleanly place, got seated right away, brought out waters as we got settled and then took our drink order which came out rapidly. We ordered appetizers which consisted of fried green tomatoes and spinach artichoke dip, which were so good! Then the waitress took a while to get our meals ordered, when she finally did our appetizers were gone. I had the BBQ burger and sweet potato fries which was very tasty, and my friends had a Cobb salad and brisket bbq grilled cheese and everyone enjoyed the food, however as it got busier the waitress was lacking. Over all we enjoyed the clean and friendly atmosphere, the fantastic food and good company! Would come again!

Amazing restaurant! I come here every time I make a trip through smithville! Make sure to always ask about the nightly specials!

It is interesting seeing a restaurant that has a upscale vibe in the middle of nowhere. Upscale atmosphere but there prices are affordable and comparable to a family style restaurant. With constantly having specials, delicious food with a friendly bartender who seemed to know the regulars' drinks the minute they walk in - it is worth stopping here if you are in the area.

You can't see the lake but don't hesitate to visit Kozaks. It's a great place with fresh food. Their burgers are fantastic among other selections that are equally delicious. The meat comes from paradise meats, all locally sourced and you can tell.

This restaurant is a gem and Chef Longres brings a dining experience that only few in the KC area can bring. Him and his staff's attention to detail, outstanding service, on top of incredible food should bring every Michelin Star, DiRona award, and James Beard award. You'll find very few restaurants in Kansas City that bring this quality, enthusiasm, and detail. The Hearth Experience elevates it even further. It was great seeing the same staff in the open concept, French Brigade kitchen after a year plus. You've got to be doing things great in this difficult industry to maintain that staff dedication. Plus on top of this Chef Longres is always keeping an eye out for kids and brings them back into the kitchen for a truly personal experience. They just don't make restauranteurs/chefs like that anymore. This place is well worth every penny. Had another phenomenal dinner and experience!

And it's further afield than we normally do for date night so it felt like a choice he wouldn't expect, which is how we roll. We arrived at about 6:30 on a Friday and it was pleasantly full but not crazy. I had reservations, obviously. The staff had all signed a nice postcard on the table to note his birthday. After we put in our drink order (he got an old-fashioned and I got a Dr Pepper, since I was driving), our server brought over two bottles of Prosecco, one being NA since she wasn't sure if I drank or not, and offered us a toast for his birthday. I thought it was a nice gesture. They ask that you put in your full order at the top of the meal so they can pace it properly. We started with the whipped goat cheese with brussels sprouts and fried saltines. An interesting dish and fun to see saltines reimagined as something high-end. He got their gigantic pork chop and I got a perfectly cooked and delicious KC strip with the creamiest mashed potatoes. I saw half butter and half cream and I thought, that's for me! Lol. That wasn't a cheap entree, but it did include a sauce (I got béarnaise) and a choice of side. I took more than half of my meal home. At that point, she brought out the dessert menu and Kyle decided on the flourless chocolate cake, which is one of his favorites, but that he often doesn't get at a restaurant because so many restaurants buy their stuff from Sysco now. And holy cow, it's the best dessert I've had in ages! A great reminder of how good a flourless chocolate cake can be. Anyway, I definitely would recommend Acre. They did a great job of making my fiance feel really special and just generally had terrific service and wonderful elevated food. Helpful hint: there is a $25pp no show fee on reservations, so be aware of that, and cancel at least 24 hours out if you think you might need to.

Reservations are required and you will choose your main entree for all of your party when you make your reservation. We went for our wedding anniversary and were not disappointed. We arrived a few minutes before our 6pm reservation and were seated. At exactly 6pm, our server, Chris, started with our choice of hors d'oeuvres. Either a potato and fresh vegetable soup, or shrimp cocktail. My wife had the shrimp, and I had the soup. Both were outstanding. For dinner, I had the lamb, and my wife had the filet mignon. Both came with potatoes, carrots and a roll. Again, both meals were outstanding. We finished with a dessert trio that was amazing. Besides the fantastic meal, the service was first class, and the ambiance was really special. This is a must visit for an amazing meal. Call today and get your reservations.

My wings had chewy rubbery skin and just barely cooked. Fried pickles were lukewarm and breading was stale. Since they were busy, I opted for the self serve beer, but kept running into multiple empty kegs and getting charged for foam - requiring adjusting my tab. Second time. Not busy at all, but still took 20-minutes for our inattentive server to take our drink order. Took 15-minutes to get a beer and they never brought a menu. By then, I was absolutely not eating and ready to leave. Took another 30-minutes to get my check. My group stayed to drink and flirt with the server. Third time. Not busy, yet very slow (and unprofessional) service. I ordered a salad because I figured it's hard to mess up a salad. It was good. (Incidentally, I sampled one of my friend's wings to test whether my first experience was the norm or a really bad day. The wings were ok. Definitely had better but they weren't disgusting like my first trip.) Also had a beer. It took a very long time to get our order and the server rarely checked on the table (but they had time to shoot the breeze with coworkers). I tipped well-above what I felt they deserved because servers rely on tips; however, I cannot recommend this place. I get the sense that the owners are good people and the servers are friendly when you finally get to talk to them. I'd say they need more training. Not sure how long they've been around, but I'm amazed they're still in business.
