Our first visit to Park Place Grill was wonderful. We chose this restaurant because my daughter has celiac disease, and she heard they offer gluten-free breaded chicken tenders and gluten-free pasta. We each ordered different dishes. The tenderloin sandwich was huge and delicious; I appreciated that it wasn't greasy, and the fries were cooked perfectly. My husband enjoyed chicken that was moist and well-prepared, paired with a very tasty blue cheese salad. Our daughter loved the gluten-free chicken tenders, which were also delicious. It was fantastic to have dining options for everyone. Although we were too full for dessert, we plan to return to try that and the gluten-free pasta. A pleasant surprise was the music bingo they hosted from 7 to 9 PM. We participated in both rounds and won three prizes! The restaurant has a large area that accommodates big parties, as well as a bar and more intimate spaces for smaller gatherings. The outdoor dining area features TVs and is beautifully lit. I really wanted to like this place since it's so close to my house. When my friend and I walked in, I think there was only one other table with people eating and this was Memorial Day weekend so I thought it might be more busy with the carnival going on. The atmosphere was nice and clean with a couple cool fireplaces. The waitress was very nice. We ordered and the food came out fast. I ordered the wedge salad with steak. The salad was good, but the steak was not. It was very grisly. I should've ordered it without steak. My friend ordered the sliders and he wasn't impressed. They were a little bit dry. Newer restaurant with great service and attention. They do not yet have it in the menu but they have gluten free buns and pasta. They were able to work with accommodations and substitutions. I really appreciated that. We ordered the Chislic beef tenderloin strips as an appetizer, my friend ordered the pot roast, and I ordered the daily special of the mahi mahi. A new place to check out in Parkville!!! Large bar area, plenty of seating and parking! Very attentive on a Monday night. Several patrons at the bar watching basketball so we had the restaurant to ourselves. A varied menu and full bar options to choose from. Our sandwiches were quite large with generous portions of light breaded fries. The Horseradish dip has Quite the kick ! We had so much we took home 1/2 of each of the dinners for lunch tomorrow. I really enjoyed this restaurant. I made reservations, but my party came early and the manager very accommodating. It was during Parkville Days so they were very busy, but made room for us right away. The food is very good and so are the drinks. The service was excellent and the waitress was very sweet. I live in the area and had hopes that the restaurant would be wonderful. The atmosphere reminds me of a cafeteria type setting. An interior designer is needed to break up the open space with something warm and inviting. I ordered the baseball sirloin steak with a baked potato and calamari. For frozen out of a box, it was passable. The steak was boring. The potato was nice. My significant other had a steak wedge salad and soup of the day. She rated the restaurant a 2.5. I thought that was a little low. 3 stars is where I put it. Nothing here that said, I have to come back. The server was pleasant but never smiled. High hopes lead to it's okay. It's almost impressive how bad it is. I ordered a ribeye medium. Pretty easy for even a home cook. Rubbery, unrendered with no sear, some cross mark grill lines on a grey background with a cold center. My wife ordered the tenderloin medallions, it was terrible and gross per her eval. I'm not sure what is going on here, but it's better off you drive past the crash scene. read more

Really nice staff and amazing fries! We came for the first time at 3pm on a Tuesday so it was pretty dead. The inside was fancier than I expected. There's lots of TVs and the bar looks fun. Atmosphere a little cold but service and food very good. I had calamari and wedge salad, both solid offerings. M had the open faced roast beef sandwich but asked for French fries instead of mashed potatoes and had them smother everything with gravy. This was a STELLAR dish!! French fries were really good and the shredded brisket with gravy was absolutely delicious. I will go back for exactly that again. Cocktails were okay. M's 'New-Fashioned' was way too sweet but our server was great about filling our requests to make it right. First a dish of lemons, then a half glass of tonic and ice that made it actually very good. read more

We came from out of town to arrive at our 730 confirmed reservation. Website also stated "OPEN". Get there, all the lights are out with a "Closed" sign for renovations. Not easy to find a back up restaurant at 730 so we were quite disappointed. Highly recommend updating communication on website and removing option to make a reservation if you aren't even open :-( read more

PLEASE READ! Former employee here. Firstly, I want to say that there have been 3 separate instances in the short time that this business has been open that checks have bounced. The ladies that work at the bank think the owners are an absolute joke and feel so bad for any employees that still work there. One of the owners actually works while the other one drinks himself to death at the bar, watching his employees struggle. They have also refused to pay employees for days they forget to clock in and say, " Well, if they weren't clocked in, then they weren't here right"? There is no consistency because they can not afford to pay their vendors so they constantly vender hop. Super classy. THE FOOD. This is ABSOLUTELY NOT A SCRATCH KITCHEN! 99% of everything here comes frozen or from a bag. They chop most of the veggies fresh (except the side enteee veggies, they come in frozen). Even the pico de gallo, mashed potatoes, and Alfredo sauce comes in pre made. I honestly do not think that anyone that works there knows how to make an Alfredo sauce from scratch. The pot roast is from a bag and they use the drippings from that to make the gloopy corn starched slurried salt bomb that they like to call gravy. They do anything they can do to cut corners. Absolutely the most disgusting gravy" I've ever had in my life. The Diablo shrimp is the only decent thing on the menu and it comes in frozen. All the beef, pork and fish come in frozen. Please for the love of god DO NOT ORDER THE SCALLOPS! They come in frozen in a bag. Disgusting. Most of the employees here are great and work hard. There are a few bad eggs who drink on the job. Oh and you best believe no one is UBERING. They drink and drive EVERY DAY. The sheriff has been notified of this. If anyone wants to say that I am wrong, I personally invite you to go on in and see for yourself. Try the terrible food and talk to the insanely drunk owner who can barely walk, he wears a hat and polo shirt, you'll see him sitting at the bar with a shot glass in front of him. Apologies to the few good ones that work there, but YOU DESERVE BETTER, and Parkville deserves better. read more

We really enjoyed our meal at Park Place Grille. While their menu features mostly burgers and steaks, they have several other entrees and I had their chicken cordon bleu special, which was delucious. I do not like to write poor reviews, but I do believe paying customers deserve to know where they are going. I went to Park Place Grille just after they first opened. We understood that there would be a wait, which was fine. However, once seated, we received horrible service, the bar made my drink incorrectly (it was horrible and a replacement took a long time to get not to mention it was the same drink that returned), we waited over an hour after receiving our appetizer (the cheese curds) for our dinners that we placed at the same time, and our food sucked. There was no flavor or seasoning. We understood that they were busy, but we were there for nearly 3 hours. My fish was oozing grease and my significant others burger had NO flavor. The place has no decorations and is not inviting. I would not recommend going here if you need to be some place afterward. read more

It has been quite some time since we have had such an unpleasant dining experience. Only 4 people in the restaurant when the hostess seated us. We waited perhaps 15-20 minutes and the server did not bring water or come to take our orders. I finally had to stand, call and gesture for service. A waiter with a memory as bad as ours needs to write the order out on paper. We were served wrong items, wrong sides, had to ask for mustard and catsup. The food was way below average. Once again had to wave hands to get my bill. First time in years I have not left a tip, and I'm a generous tipper with good even average service. Do not recommend either the food or the service. Addendum: worse case of heartburn I have had in years. read more
