Dropped off sliding screen door Monday June 1st. Was told will be completed within a day or two for 150$. Expensive than others, yes indeed but convenient. Called Wednesday and was told not today but it will be ready tomorrow. Called back on Thursday, nope, still not done. Again on Friday and then Saturday, still not even completed. Called again Monday and guess what? Not done still! Employee calls me today June 9th and ask if I'd like to "move forward" with the fixing of the door. No effing sh*t, but why am I being called 9 days after when I went there specifically to get it fixed. Either way they suck. I ordered a piece of tempered glass to replace the old wood base of this bakers rake I had in my kitchen for years so that I could use it outside. The piece was expected to arrive before Mother's Day...and ready for me to be able to use it to entertain outdoors, but it didn't come in time- Kevin went ABOVE AND BEYOND by volunteering (actually he insisted) to make me this temporary plexiglass base just so that I would be able to use it tomorrow, and wished me A Happy Mother's Day free of charge. I called KP auto glass as I had used them to replace windshield on my Subaru on 2 separate occasions.They were easy to deal with and did excellent work. However, something was amiss as I called them recently for a windshield replacement on my Hyundai. All had been prearranged with Geico and job was covered by my insurance.. They said they could do the work and that they would call me. With no follow up call received I tried again I spoke with the owner and she too said she would get back to me. I just wanted to schedule an appt. No call back. Going on 8 days.. I since brought the car to Auto Glass Now in Lynbrook. They replaced the windshield as soon as they had availability, and the work was good quality and came with a lifetime warranty. While KP was good in the past, I can't recommend them since they are unresponsive to potential customers. read more

Kevin and Kevin are the father and son duo doing the glass work at this happy family business. I came in with my own replacement, gotten from a yard windshield for my Infiniti G35, with the mistaken belief that it was original OEM glass, (said to be stronger and safer than reproductions) but was not! The 2 Kevin's explained its history based on the etched in logo/codes and that it was actually a replacement from Safelite. Oops! I got taken! I should have let them provide. They used anyway; Glass was framed and mounted beautifully in all new rubber. In the process areas of rust were ground off and coated with rust protection for virtually no extra cost. All, including Mom and Sis (I assume) in the office, were very friendly, knowledgable and happy to take much time in explaining all before, during and after work was done. They all obviously love their work! I would greatly recommend to all to bring their work there. They also have a shop next to the garage that has much in the way of household glass, mirrors...etc. Thanks Again all! read more

Much better than Safelite. These guys know what they are doing and take good care of your car. They won't even start until the car is warmed up so the adhesive will come off easier. They even gave me a ride home so I wouldn't have to wait. Chain glass shops don't do that. And the Husky they have is gorgeous and friendly. Put Safelite out of business! Safelite got the wrong glass for my car THREE times. These guys at KP Glass got it right the first time. read more

These guys are amazing. My car window broke while I was out at Bethpage. I called KP and they were closed. They called me back (after they had already closed) and told me to come by. They brought the glass up and taped the window up so that at least I could make it to Brooklyn with a closed window and park overnight. When I asked how much it cost, they said NOTHING and sent us on our way. I did not think people like them still existed out there. What a pleasant surprise! read more

A friend of mine recommended K.P. Glass to repair my basement window. He said that they were good people and he was spot on! Went there to get out some rock chips on the windshield. Kevin was honest and said that it probably be best to leave it alone as the chips were superficial and not big or deep enough fix properly. Even so, he decided to throw some resin in the 2 -3 chips I had. Chips did not disappear, but sure did look better. And he did not even bother to charge me anything. Stand up honest guy.
