It is an amazing feeling to experience straight talk, honesty, integrity, accountability and caring from a business and it's owner in 2019. Say X and do X and deliver not on time but early was the outcome in dealing with the awesome and super Paul and his company, Cannon Collision in Hicksville, Long Island NY about 26 miles east of NYC. Mom got into an auto accident with another driver coming into her lane and damaging the right front of her baby, her peppy mobile, her 2001 Honda Accord with 63,758 miles on it. I figured the car is done being 18 years young. So went out and got the 7 Series in the Ultimate Driving Machine, the BayerischeMotorenWerke for her and the services of a driver to take her anywhere. The gentleman quit after 3 hours and 40 minutes. Mom made it very clear that she was used to and very comfortable with her original vehicle and that the new wheels were a bit much. Hence, the new purchase with 241 miles on it sits in a garage in Gramercy Park in Manhattan. Started the process with the Insurance co. Adjustor Mike came out and loved the car stating current value $3780, repair estimate $1540. Got jerked around by a collision place in Westbury that was recommended - they kept the car for 17 days and did not do squat or even try. I called Paul. Great vibe, sounded like a straight shooter on the phone. Jose, his stellar employee came out to the house and towed the car( not drive able). The adjustor Mike came back as he had low balled. Then he called me to tell me that the car was a total loss and that they could" help me out" by reimbursing me the salvage value of $500 by signing the car over/selling to the Insurance Co. Mike and his coworker Jean from Claims had just attempted to graduate from the class" How to talk out of every crevice in my body'. Paul jumped on the phone in my presence and with my authorization spoke with Jean, talked the talk like her in her language and negotiated the fair reimbursement to ensure that the car that the Adjustor Mike loved was repairable with not a dime from my pocket. Loved it!!! This was on a Tuesday. The car was fixed and looked as good as new in 7 days. Paul fixed everything. Solid, stand up guy and stand up company!! I went to Cannon Collision last year, Carlos did an incredible job on my car. Every single detail you can think of was meticulously gone over. He even did a checkerboard type thing where he vacuumed. When I went midday to speak to him, he was totally enthusiastic and very much into his work. Fast forward to this year, Carlos no longer works here. The car does look good, I'm overall pleased, but I'm underwhelmed. The windshield had streaks, there is this powdery thing along the sunroof. Just a lack of overall attention that I had expected. Despite what other people say I was quite impressed with this cannon Collision company. The owner Paul and his staff including Oscar and others did an amazing job cleaning d smelling waxing and detailing my car. I came in to have my car's rear quarter panel and side door repaired. Paul, my sales rep, quoted me a price and promised a 5 day turnaround. With the amount of work needed I was bit skeptical. As promised, I arrived 5 days later to find a perfect job and a detailed car. The leather was conditioned, floors clean, and miscellaneous scratches removed. I was never told this was part of the service and was pleasantly surprised. Oh I should also mention I was $100 short and Paul approved the price adjustment and sent me on my way. I'll be going back again but this time I'll be bringing in my show car for some major bodywork. I would highly recommend Cannon and Paul. I was called when my car was finish with its detailing work and told the associate that I was on my way. Upon arrival, I found the storefront's door locked with my car-keys locked inside. I tried calling the business but got no answer and was told from the neighboring business that all employees had left even though the phone associate knew that I was on my way. Called in about a defective headlight on my vehicle, I was there 20 minutes later. Told them my problem when I arrived, they looked at it, checked to see if they had the part and then replaced it all within 20 minutes time there. Very good experience at this place in and out at a reasonable price I'd gladly go back. Wow, really impressed with the Cannon Collision guys, called for appointment for a car detailing and went on a monday, asked if possible the car to be ready around 2pm, they said they'll try and if ready they'll call me, car was ready at 2:30pm, perfect timing, and they really did an amazing job, very professional service, car looks showroom shining quality, they even went beyond what I expected, they restored the headlights lenses to crystal clear, got rid of most of the light scratches and even touch up some ugly spots. Our car was involved in an accident recently, and the damage was extensive. Having no experience whatsoever with collision companies, we consulted our mechanic and asked for his opinion. He immediately recommended Cannon, and told us that they did wonderful work. He also told us to ask for Paul. I contacted Paul immediately, because we were concerned about the safety of the vehicle. Our insurance carrier wanted us to use their repair shop, but I had a hunch that we should choose one of our own. After meeting with Paul and discussing the amount of work that we could expect, we sat with him in his office and discussed approximate length of time for how long the vehicle would be tied up. Because it would have been lengthy, Paul offered to contact a few rental companies for us. I was impressed, to say the least. Paul was understanding, soft spoken, knowledgeable, and incredibly helpful during a time when we didn't know if we were in the market for a new car, or if we were just repairing it. Paul assured us that the car would be repaired and would look better than ever. He was right. I don't think the car has looked this good since it drove out of the lot from the dealership, years ago. Believe me, the car was in rough shape when we brought it in. The insurance company even totaled it out, but we opted to have the entire vehicle fixed. Paul was good to his word; he fixed every last thing that was wrong with it. "Thorough" is his middle name. Never go here for any kind of service. I called on Sunday to see if my car could be detailed on Monday before buying a groupon. The person working (who seemed nice, and competant...) made an "appointment" for me to go in Monday morning. I called back later and left a message saying I would need to bring my car in Monday afternoon, and if they needed to keep it until Tuesday for this reason, that would be fine. When I arrived Monday, during normal business hours, there was no one present in the building at all. I finally left my car with someone working out back. Tuesday: nothing. The woman who works there called me Wednesday afternoon and said they needed an extra day and my car would be ready Thursday "late morning." I said, "Okay, so tomorrow?" She said, "Oh, is tomorrow Thursday? Okay, yes then." She legitimately did not know the day of the week halfway through the day. Thursday I arrived at 4:30 PM to pick up my car. The door says they are open until 5, but no one was there and the shop was closed and locked. I could see my car (hopefully clean...ish?) but not access it. The worst part of all this is that I was supposed to sell my car at a dealership tonight and had an appointment to do so, but now I don't have my car and I'm going out of town for the weekend. They have kept my car for more than 4 days, even though I have paid them. I called the shop to leave a message, understandably upset. The woman called me back and when I said I was there at 4:30 called me a liar over the phone and hung up on me. I applied for a refund from groupon, which they supplied. This was a really terrible experience and I advise you to avoid this place at all costs! read more

I had avoided an accident but ended up running over the curve and it destroyed my car underneath on the driver's side. This happened right before I had to hand in my lease. Paul took great care of me...he got the quote done and started the work right away. I had also mentioned if he could take off these panels on the door that avoided another car in a parking spot to damage the door instead and he did. I also had some scratch in the back looked like someone keyed it a bit and he also fixed that. All in all, I was very happy with the results it looked great and the lease company shouldn't be calling me about any problems. The inside was also fully cleaned and polished. I bought a red 2016 Dodge Challenger SRT 392, and wanted white, triple side stripes painted onto the vehicle. Several problems: (1) Dodge would only do hood stripes on an SRT; (2) Dodge uses decals, and would not paint on the stripes, and; (3) Dodge would not do triple stripes of varying size. A very close friend highly recommended Cannon Collision. My friend was a Service Manager for a local auto dealer, and had referred many cars and vans to Cannon for detail and body work during well over a decade. WELL, I COULDN'T BE MORE PLEASED. Cannon Collision did exceptional work exactly the way I wanted it. I was very exacting in what I wanted (thickness and length of stripes, orientation, style of SRT lettering, etc.), and they were equally immaculate about every detail.
