I walked in and was greeted right away. The staff is really friendly! She did an initial evaluation and then had others take a look. Well it needed more than a tune-up. The tires were shot, the gears were not switching. They gave me a list of things and I declined somethings but got the rest. I turned it in but it was busy they said and it would take 2 weeks. They would text me when ready. 2 weeks later, I did not receive a text. A week later, they called and informed me that they missed an issue at check-in and that it would take another week or so as they had to place an order. It is a good thing I have a mountain bike to train with! I received a text and went to go pick it up a couple weeks later as I just didn't have the time. When I picked up the bike, I wish they would have given me a refresher on all the things they fixed (one by one) but I could have also asked. I've ridden the bike and it is good as new. Overall, they did a good job on fixing the bike, Maybe a better checkout process and intake process so they don't miss anything.

What a great idea a mobile bike repair/maintenance van circulating & servicing bikes that can come to your house and service your bike. I talked to Adam who was in the van working on someone's bike. He was super knowledgeable and provided a ton of information about the services they provide. The van was loaded w/bike parts needed to service bikes. I wish I knew about them 2 weeks ago as I just took my bike in for a complete tune up & got it back 09/10/20. Us included :) My son outgrew his bike and we luckily got one donated, but we wanted to make sure it was in ride ready for him since he would use it daily! Beers for Gears to the rescue since the local big shops were booked a couple of weeks. It was easy to book with Robb through the Scheduler, I was able to also leave him notes and directions of what I needed, as well as what parts we wanted changed and checked. Hubs dropped off the bike at our scheduled time, texted Robb to let him know it was dropped off and left a case of beer with our parts. Service was speedy, he texted hubs with a couple of questions and all was good by that evening! The price was reasonable or at least we thought so since we haven't needed our bikes tuned up before. He replaced the chain, the inner tube, and did the usual tune up stuff. We got a credit for the beer.

I had a full tri bike clean and re-build (over $500), and the crank bolt loosens with every ride and my brake quick release won't close. They didn't tighten my saddle bolt and it shifted me off my bike mid-ride. My husband has taken flats here 4 TIMES in 2 months, and they keep busting due to improper tube installation. Took it to Trek and it hasn't given him a problem in a year. We would recommend you look elsewhere for repairs. I can't speak to their bike sales.

Instead, when I came back, they told me they repaired a crank that they claimed was "bent and unrepairable" -- something I never asked them to diagnose or fix. You shouldn't perform extra work and charge a customer for it without approval, especially when it wasn't the reason the bike was brought in. When I came back to address this, Dusty (one of the mechanics) was very reasonable and genuinely helpful. He understood the situation, and worked with me to reduce the bill from $140 to $40, which I appreciated. Honestly, if the bike actually needed that repair, I can live with the charge. The real issue was the attitude and handling of the situation by the owner. I waited about 20 minutes for the owner to come speak with me, even though I had to be at work and had to ask Dusty to grab him again. When he finally came out, he was dismissive and rude, repeatedly fixating on the $40 price instead of addressing the real problem -- that the wrong repair was done in the first place. Even after calmly explaining that I wasn't blaming him and simply wanted some accountability, he kept responding with, "I wouldn't have done this for $40," completely missing the point. When I politely asked if there was anything he could do to make it right after a month of inconvenience, he flatly said no. This could have been handled professionally and respectfully, but instead it turned into an unnecessarily uncomfortable interaction. Big credit to Dusty for being understanding and helpful -- unfortunately, the owner seriously dropped the ball here. I won't be returning, and I'd recommend being very clear and cautious about approving any work before leaving your bike here.

I got a call that the bikes were ready the next day. Upon picking up the bikes and bringing them home, I test-rode them around a block. I found a couple of minor issues with my daughter's bike. The brake was very soft. It felt like either the pressure on the brakes were not high enough or the brake pads were worn out. The gears when in the middle sprockets were making slight noises as if the chains were touching something. Neither were big problems, and I took the bike back a few days later. Keith adjusted the gears to solve the chain noise problem, but declared that there's nothing wrong with the brakes. More serious problem occurred with my wife's bike. When first brought back from Keith's shop, I had my wife ride it around the block to make sure she was comfortable with all the settings. Everything seemed fine at first, but after about 10 mins of riding (she was beginning to enjoy it kept going the blocks and I was following her on a scooter), she all of sudden headed into a ditch and fell over. It turns out one of the pedals fell off because it was not screwed on all the way. After walking the bike back home, it was simple enough to re-screw on the pedal, but my wife ended up with a bruise on her shoulder. When I mentioned this to Keith when I went back with daughter's bike, he said the pedals were on perfectly when it left his shop, and implied that somehow we did something to loosen it up. I may not be a bike expert, but I have screwed on and off a few pedals in my life. Keith was pretty friendly before but turned less than friendly at that point. I can't speak to the quality of service with the mowers and other small engine equipment since this is my first interaction with them, but it feels like the bicycle side of the business is an add on service and that they are not really experts with the bicycles. I went to Keith's Bike and Mower because they quoted me lower rate than other bike shops around my area. At this point, I feel that was a mistake.

Because I am also a business owner, Keith asked my advice about a recent bad review by Dan S. and after talking with him I feel I should debunk it. Keith's description of the situation couldn't be more different than Dan S. posted on Yelp. Keith said Dan S. came in and had two bike repaired and he repaired them to his usual high standard. Dan S. called a few days later saying he heard a noise on one of the bikes. Keith said to bring it back in to be adjusted for free. The problem was an adjustment and was fixed in five minutes. Then on the way out the door Dan S. stated out of the blue that his wife fell off the other bike because a pedal fell off and started saying Keith was negligent and complaining that he wanted his money back. Keith told me he was very respectful to Dan S. but could not be held responsible for what happened with the bike days after the repairs were done and asked why Dan S. didnt bring in the bike since it was a serious accusation. Dan S. had no answer for him and left angry. Sounds like a shakedown to me having gone through it myself. Guy wanted something for nothing and Keith didn't give in. Keep up the good work Keith we're rooting for you against all the trolls on Yelp!

He provided details on the process and cost. We set a time for him to come to the house. He showed up as expected and got to work. We chatted for a bit and he took the bikes into his truck. About an hour and a half later the bikes came out looking brand new. It had been a while so Joe fixed several issues during the tune-up. I'd highly recommend On The Fly Mobile Bicycle Repair. Joe is awesome and it is so convenient. I will definitely keep his number in the Rolodex.

Started by texting the business and got a reply within 15 min.. Within 2 texts, had answered my questions and started to connect my son and the shop owner for a next day appointment. Seems owner already had an appointment nearby, so added us behind that one. Next day I got a text from my son saying how much he enjoyed the experience and meeting the owner. Full service with 2 tires changes was about 45min.. Price was per their advertised pricing. To me, this service was worth it based on the convenience and time savings. Would totally contact this business for future work. Highly recommend. Sorry no pictures.
