He provided details on the process and cost. We set a time for him to come to the house. He showed up as expected and got to work. We chatted for a bit and he took the bikes into his truck. About an hour and a half later the bikes came out looking brand new. It had been a while so Joe fixed several issues during the tune-up. I'd highly recommend On The Fly Mobile Bicycle Repair. Seems owner already had an appointment nearby, so added us behind that one. Next day I got a text from my son saying how much he enjoyed the experience and meeting the owner. Full service with 2 tires changes was about 45min.. Price was per their advertised pricing. To me, this service was worth it based on the convenience and time savings. You're effectively rolling your bike into someone's living room and they just jack it up and make it all right again. Kelly also fiercely believes in being part of the local community and takes every opportunity to show it. So on those bases alone, it's an amazing community bike shop. What puts it over the top is the quality and mechanical skill. I had a tune up gone bad at another highly rated bike shop in town this year. Nothing too drastic but persistent nagging problems that their best mechanics couldn't resolve despite repeated visits over multiple months and several multi-week stays in their shop. Eventually I just lost faith and brought it into Mack's. They politely pointed out several of the immediate issues (which the other shop had somehow entirely missed), but were reasonably conservative about their ability to diagnose the deeper and more intermittent issues I was experiencing. They quoted me two weeks. Two *hours* later I got a call. They had rebuilt all of the major systems. Everything was fixed, and it was less than a tenth the price of the other shop. I can't think of any higher proof of the quality of the work they do and their true attention to detail. Don't even think about going anywhere else!

Whether you're looking for a new bike, or getting a tune up on an old bike, or just seeking out an accessory, you will find exactly what you're looking for here. This is the type of place that is both organized and seemingly has everything you're looking for, it kinda feels like a bicycle shop from a movie (and it smells like brand new bicycle tires ). But most of all, after buying a new bike, getting a tune up on an old bike, and purchasing a few locks, I received a hand written thank you card with a sticker! That is the kind of gesture that buys permanent loyalty from this customer. My only quibble is that they should get stickers of their business logo since it's pretty dope looking.

The owner had assured us everything was in order and ready to ride. When we took the bike out on the trails, my partner almost broke her neck on a downhill when the breaks suddenly gave out. We took it too a shop and found out that the wheels on the bike were not the original wheels and had been switched out. The rotors on the wheels were too small, leading it to quickly wear through the pads and suddenly stop working a couple hours into the ride. When we notified the owner, his response was "scary." Yes, incredibly scary. My partner could have died due to the owner 1) pulling a bait and switch and 2) not checking and ensuring the safety of the bike.
