I've been wanting to try KPOT for so long. BE PREPARED TO WAIT AT LEAST 30-60 minutes. Not sure how their waitlist system works but there was a serious miscommunication. Before we headed out, we called to see if there was a wait because we had 4 hungry kids. Whoever we spoke with over the phone said there was no wait right now. Mind you, we were only 15 mins away. When we got there, there was about 15 parties in front of us and was told it would be an hour to an hour half wait. We were all furious but what can we do? I knew coming there would be a wait. But to say there wasn't one over the phone, it got us very disappointed. lol By passing that situation, we waited 55 minutes. It was all smiles from there once we got seated lol Everything was so GOOD. I love their kalbi short ribs and beef bulgogi. It's probably the best for AYCE I've ever had. They had something else that was labeled "Lamb Chop". It was so good. Love how everyone gets their own hotpot and for the grilling, there is one big grill in the middle. For $34pp, it's so worth it. Service though, it wasn't the greatest. So, from most of the bad reviews for this location, I can say it's accurate lol don't get me wrong, our waitress was nice and friendly but for us to keep asking for things like napkins, water, and changing the grill, it was quite annoying to wait around. It cuts down on your two hour limit. Overall, I would 10/10 come back. Staff is all nice. Just a little adjustment here and there would make me LOVE this place even more lol Thank you

This place was amazing!! It is in the mall which was nice because there was a 45 minute wait on Saturday. We went to shop around before we got a text to be seated. We were seated promptly and told about the experience. The waiter we had was super nice and conversational. He made sure we had our drinks and we were all set up. The place is like a buffet so you get all your fixing at the buffet and come back to cook and enjoy. The restaurant is set up nicely so we had the bbq and our soup pots next to us. It was a very nice place with great food and a fun dining experience. For the BBQ and hot pot combined it was around $30 each without tip and tax. Honestly such a good price for all you can eat. I will 100% be back!

Great value AYCE hot pot and Korean BBQ located in the Bay Plaza Mall. I'm glad to see this regional chain is growing and doing well. $21-26/pp lunch for KBBQ and hot pot is an impressive economic feat and I wish them success expanding across the tri-state area. The sauce bar is wide, the protein selection is varied, the serve-yourself bar is mostly clean and hygienic, and they offer a range of both raw ingredients and hot prepared foods. Ultimately, the mushroom soup broth did have an artificial umami twang to it, the marinated meats are essentially all in the same abrasively sweet sauce, and the meats are generally quite low-quality fatty cuts. But that said, you get what you pay for. None of it is ideal, but it's also $26.

Things are improving! Firstly, the Healthy Herb broth is AMAZING and my fav (totally recommend). One of the things that I had mentioned in my prior review was about the lack of labeling and possible allergic reactions that could come from it. This is now changing. There has been tings with different colors and better labeling in place for folks to know what they are grabbing. There is also an explanation in tables on how to use the grill with different Meats. I do think there are some improvements that can still be made, but I am so happy to see the progress. KPot continues to be my favorite place to eat at Bay Plaza!

This is probably one of the best KBBQ & Hot Pot in the area. I been here couple of times already and it sure didn't disappoint me at all. My first visit here was a blast! Came here with couple of coworkers after work. I called ahead for reservations of 6 people. When we arrive here. This place was packed! Full of young vibes, which is what I like. Haha. The service took us to our table fairly quickly. Forgot her name but she was pretty and seem very genuine! That is a plus. We quickly order our beverage and head to the hot & cold station for food! There are tons of different meats, seafood, and hot ready to eat food. Typical fried food but still good. The meats was on fire! So many flavors to choose from. Chicken, beef, pork, you name it! And the seafood was pretty fresh as well. Everything tasted amazing. The price is right too. I will be back for sure!

The hotpot options were great, but the bathrooms are unkept. The service was excellent. Our waiter was LAN, he explained all the options thoroughly and made us feel confident. The music was too loud, you couldn't hear yourself speak. Five stars for the service we got from our waiter.

As soon as you walk in, you notice the dim lighting with blue background lights. When we arrived there was a 30 minute wait, the place was packed that Saturday. Our server was really pleasant and friendly. I enjoyed the options of choosing between hotpot/ Korean bbq or both. The only downside is the area to go pick your food is very small. So when it's packed, it's hard maneuvering around everybody and plates are super small. If you're anything like me (I don't like certain foods to touch) juggling multiple plates can be an issue. Overall enjoyed the food way more than expected.

Today was a very first time I've try dining this way it wasn't experience for those who don't know you cook your own food. That being said the food was delicious. Our waitress was Zine (pronounce like wine with a Z). Please ask for her she, she's amazing. I had the healthy herb soup base with udon noodles delicious along with some garlic shrimp some spicy fish along with the fried rice really good the price is amazing you can't beat it really, and it was during happy hour so we had a couple of martinis, watermelon, martini, and a watermelon margarita which were delicious. This is a great idea for a date because it gives you time to spend together and you have to talk to each other and you get to see if he can cook or she can cook or at least if they're willing to try go check them out.

So this new restaurant opened up near us and we decided that we will go check it out. After we get inside, the hostess informs us before seating us that the food is raw and that we would have to cook it ourselves. The look we gave LOL but decided this sounds like an experience, so why not. I'm so glad we decided to stay. It was a really fun experience and the food came out good. It's buffet style, you pick your meat and vegetables for you meal and/or soup and you cook it at the table. This was a first for us and we enjoyed it so much. The food came out good but it'll be better next time because we know better how it's done. Our waiter was so amazing! NOTE: They don't waste food. There's a sign posted at the table that you will be charged $13 a pound for wasted food (that you will not be able to take with you).

10/10 I didn't expect this! My sister dragged me here for a family dinner and WOW was I blown away. My previous experiences with hotpot gave me a bad impression, and visiting here completely revamped that. Firstly, the soups were all so flavorful and delicious. The assorted selection of meats were great, and there were so many sauce options too. I didn't expect any of this from a hot pot place located in a mall. Our waiter, Kevin, was such an amazing staff member. He checked on us often and made sure everything was perfect. My water cup was always being refilled and the soup bowl was never left low for too long. His recommendations were lovely and he made us very comfortable. I especially loved the seafood soup, and funnily enough the chicken wings were amazing (shoutout to my baby brother for telling me to try them)! I wish this restaurant had a better location in the mall so that it can get the attention it deserves. I plan on coming back with my partner because she has to try this! Food: 5/5 Ambiance: 4.5/5 Service: 6/5

I like this place. There are plenty of tables available, the food is good. The service was pleasant. It's all you can eat, but you can't take anything home with you. This is for the four stars because I at least wanted to bring home my soup. You have the option to do the BBQ or the hot pot menu or just combine the two of a five dollar difference. Don't over it and waste any food because they will also charge you a whole fee for that too. I think that was cool because sometimes people eyes are bigger than their stomachs, but maybe if they allow us to bring some food home, that would also help the problem of no food being wasted. The ambiance is good vibes and fun. I say this because you can bring anyone or a group of people here. Just for some good times and food. They even have a happy hour menu and plenty of food to choose from. They also change out your grill plate because that thing gets hot and dirty real quick when it comes to cooking your protein. I think if I ever made a return, I would just the BBQ. It is a lot to have all that food and a soup that you can fill up with whatever extra ingredients are available and there is plenty. That five dollar extra can add up if you have a large party. A thumbs up for me. Happy Yelping!

I loved the all you can eat aspect of the restaurant but I think they need to do like a walk through for first time visitors once i got the hang of what I was doing everything was great but at first it felt like "cave man discovers fire...put meat on fire...eat" lol once i kind of got the sauces n seasonings involved thats when i really started cooking...literally...ambiance was nice and the staff was accommodating definitely visiting again

Great place for all who eat different types of food including vegans & bbq The hot pot is brought to you & you go put in the ingredients, meats, seafood and or veggies. Dinner is more expensive but it is worth it because for $5 more you can eat steak on the bbq

There is a buffet of vegetables and side dishes that you can help yourself to, along with a soda machine and a watered-down tea machine. Nothing too impressive here. Overall, worth visiting if you have the membership and you really know your different cuts of wagyu. Otherwise, if you just want AYCE hot pot, there are plenty of other places in Flushing.

I normally…read moredon't like places with many prices, but since our daughter chose it so we enjoy with her. The prices on the windows are very confusing and more like false advertising for me, the lower prices are for the members which we're not since this is our first time and definitely our last, unless our daughter wants to come here again. So the price is the more expensive one. For me, I prefer straight forward pricing, so this didn't give me good vibes, it's not the money, just the way they advertising and we have to know what we can only have with the price we chose. The restaurant just gives us the specific menu for what we selected to have then we don't have to be denied for what we chose because we selected gold instead of top of the line menu. The place is clean and nice. For $78/per person and only have Australian Wagyu Beef (not really Wagyu) then it's over priced. We did have some premium beef which I liked because of the marble of fat on the beef quite tender and tasty, but only a sampler or whatever they called it. Service with one person is quite inadequate but she's very attentive and pleasant, since she had to run the whole restaurant, sometimes forgets things. The tomato broth was good and everyone liked it. The seafood plate is OK and our sweet shrimps are sweet. Some snow crab legs, jumbo shrimps, fish fillets, nothing to make me go wow. The appetizers tempura is crispy and good. The raw octopus is tasty. The vegetables are fresh and clean. After they denied me the premium beef sampler, I let my daughter to order everything else and I just enjoyed with the family. My daughter seemed to be happy and ate a lot, so I was happy. I've eaten enough shabu, hot pot to know that Australian or American Wagyu are overrated, many of them are tough and chewy, not as tender as normal ribeyes or Brisket that I like. This restaurant Wagyu beef does have marbles of fat in it, so it's tender and not so chewy. So, for the GOLD menu, I don't think it's worth the $78 but for special occasions, it's OK. I just don't like the confusion of many menu, many prices, and not getting my own menu and get denied for something on the menu because I didn't pay enough.

The tables are spacious and the place is bright. We ordered a variety of meats and veggies for hotpot and bbq and it was alright. The hot pot is definitely better than the bbq as the meat quality was too fatty for bbq. Moreover, because they don't change the grills, the oils from the meat just pool onto the grill and the meats get really oily to eat after a while. We also got the fried chicken, spring rolls, and fried buns apps and I thought that the chicken and buns were good but the spring rolls were okay. I loved this place!…read more I came here on a late Friday night, probably around 8pm and was glad that they were still opened. We were greeted very welcomely and was seated right away. It was unusually cold in NY during this time (5/23/25) and initially we were seated by the door where we would catch the cold draft every time the door opened. We asked if we can switch seats and the waiter was more than helpful. I feel bad for not getting his name, because he was very helpful throughout the entire dinner service, but, I've been walking around in the cold all day and the only thing that was on my mind at that time, was a nice warm meal. I've done a lot of Chinese hotpots and this was the first that we get the soup and grill without a price difference. The selections were typical, some may say less than other places, but, I felt that less was better. When there is too much to chose from, you don't know what to pick or pick too much. The one thing that I did missed was fresh tofu. They had a variety of tofu but not fresh tofu. But, I probably shouldn't waste my stomach space on tofu for and AYCE, anyway, lol! We opt for an non-spicy and a spicy soup base. If you are like me and do not like mala (numbing spice), I would not recommend getting a spicy soup base. Even my cousin, that does like mala, said it was a little overbearing after a while. If you do love spicy, like me, they have a condiment station to make your own sauce and have several chili options to chose from that is not numbing spice. For the price and selections, I feel that it was very satisfying. I really enjoyed their homemade peach and kumquat lemon tea; but, order fast because once it's gone, you are out of luck! The place was clean and the noise level was average. I think this is the best Chinese hotpot place that I have experienced in USA and would definitely go back!

I can definitely taste and feel the meat flavors just melting in my mouth. the ambiance inside was so amazing as well! it feels like I just stepped inside modern day china and dined like them too! definitely check this place out when you have the chance!

I like the idea of unlimited side dishes and desserts (with an additional price). The service was okay, the waitresses were able to answer our questions about price ranges. But, 1. Why am I asked to wait before seating when I made a reservation? 2. Workers didn't pay much attention to our table, especially when we needed to more soup base. Probably because we didn't order as much food. ‍ (Additional info: this place is not ACYE, therefore, you pay by the price of each item)

This place was the best!…read more Before we got to the restaurant, we joined the waitlist via Google. By the time we got to the restaurant, we just had to wait a couple of minutes, and we were seated. I really recommend joining the waitlist as this place gets really packed! As we were seated, the staff told us to order on the iPad and that drinks were all included, but you have to go get it yourselves, which is in the back of the restaurant in the fridge next to the sauce bar. The food came out pretty fast. We ran out of places to put the food! SO MUCH SEAFOOD! It's nonstop food! The staff was very attentive; once there was an empty plate, they took it away. And once the plate is full of leftover shell and such, they ask to replace the plate. 2 deals were going on when we were there. 1. If you pay by cash, you get - one LAANKEE (there is a LAANKEE attached to the restaurant at the front of the store) per person - one of the paid desserts from their menu 2. If you post on social media, they don't want a little red note, but any other social media is good; you get a lobster

I was only familiar with the Edison location and didn't realize there was a much closer one that didn't require a ridiculously long road trip. True to its nautical name, Chong Qing offers some killer seafood-centered fare. You can pretty pick from all the fruits de mer for your hot pot, but I want to take a moment to praise the apps: We got some delicious raw clams, crabs and shrimp marinated in a delectable sweet and savory soy/garlic-based sauce. It was so good, I nearly lapped up my plate like a hungry dog. And you better believe I smashed that re-order button, considering it was AYCE! Their sashimi--a la Arctic Surf Clams and other chewy pieces of the crustacean variety--were also fresh and succulent. We even got complimentary Australian lobster tail (to boil in our hot pot), which was definitely a win. All in all, the pescatarian in me was doing happy mermaid dances by the end of our meal. And the cherry on top? Or should I say durio? AYCE durian. Yes, yes, I know this fruit is controversial--and in the case of my dinner, I was the only one to enjoy it while everyone else stared at me like I'd grown six extra eyes. But screw it, I was more than happy to finish my hot pot with its pungent creaminess. Even if a few pieces weren't fully de-frosted. The only thing I'd avoid is their specialty tea offerings. I got a peach/jasmine lemon tea thing, and it was flavorless. Not worth the $7.
