The good folks at K-Pro were able to squeeze me in quickly and put my mind at ease. They found the issue and gave me some options and assured me no safety issues. When I got back from vacation I went straight back to replace the front struts and now the car drives better than it ever did. Or at least it feels that way! NO INTEGRITY! I paid the proprietor Jim Kirkham over $5000 (in full) for 2 old disassembled Chevy trucks including 2 engines(with a $1000 agreed value). He advertised this package on Facebook Marketplace but the money was processed on a credit card through his business KPro Auto making it a business transaction. He gave me a verbal ok to pick it up in a "month or two" because I'm a U.S. Navy Service Disabled Veteran and needed help from my son (who is a U.S. Army Service Disabled Veteran wounded in Syria 2023) to move it all. Jim didn't lift a finger to help at all. He mostly stood around and arrogantly made wisecracks about our automotive ignorance. After picking up the trucks and assorted parts, I had a change in plans and did not take delivery of the old original engines, one was very rusty on the inside. Jim (the owner) refused to refund me, in part I suspect because he was insulted and embarrassed that I found broken glass in his home made honey(that's when relations broke down). I paid in full for everything ahead of time and have receipts to prove it. I don't owe him a penny. No labor on his part was involved. He also gave me 2 counterfeit Bills of Sale for the trucks with fraudulent signatures of the prior owners. DO NOT DO BUSINESS HERE! JIM IS A VERY SHADY DISHONEST CHARACTER! We have had our vehicles at K-Pro several times now. Jim has always been helpful and straight with us. Costs are atrocious, but that is how it is everywhere now. He is more affordable than most. He has also been willing to go to bat for us with our extended service contract/warranty company who promised to pay for all non-maintenance repairs and try to pay for nothing. He has fixed what several other mechanics elsewhere have misdiagnosed and screwed up. It is not his fault that parts are taking forever to find and get anymore either. We had the same problem at Pignataro/Riorden VW dealership in Everett. Pignataro had our vehicle for almost 10 months! Jim has done his best to be expedient and communicative with us over this latest engine replacement fiasco. I found K Pro to be unreliable. I emailed the owner through his website 2 days before I called him with a description of my vehicle and the service problem. I did not expect an immediate response because it was a Saturday. On late Monday, after not getting a response I called the shop and spoke with the owner. I again described my vehicle and the problem and we agreed to a Wednesday morning appointment. During our conversation, I asked if he had seen the email and he replied that he hadn't checked his inbox. I also asked him if he could handle the problem in one day because it was a motorhome and I was living in it. and He rplied that he could do the job I a single day.
