I did not think the fish or wings were very great. The quality of meats were perfect, But the seasoning and breading of the fish and chicken was not. We did get the cajun butter for a side and garlic parm for the wing flavor. I was disappointed to have butter and wings taste like the fridge. Almost as if it was freezer burned butter or left open in the fridge. I hope the next time I come, I have a better experience with the food Service wise, it was great! This restaurant is definitely nothing fancy! But what they lack in ambience, they make up in their food! Order at the counter. There is no wait staff. The drinks are from the fridge; no soda fountain, no bar, no glasses. Just drinks from cans or bottles. They do offer a small libations selection of beer/seltzers/bottled margaritas. The crab breaks well with whole bites of meat. The shrimp are large. Served in a large platter with sausages, egg, corn on the cob and well cooked potatoes. All generously covered in butter with your preferred seasonings. A bib and gloves are provided. Be prepared to have a chin dripping with butter. Honestly I was happy this wasn't an upscale restaurant because I would have been embarrassed by my lack of etiquette as there's just no way to "properly" eat this meal. Overall this place is great for seafood lovers. The portion sizes are huge. The #1 dinner plate can for sure be for two people. The food didn't take long at all. I immediately was impressed by the presentation of the plate. Really neat and professional plating. The overall flavor was good but I was expecting a bit more spice since I ordered the Cajun butter. There's several reasons why I didn't give this place 5 stars. For one, seating is limited. So you could come expecting to dine in but if all the seats are taken then you are forced to either wait or take your food home. Luckily for me I didn't have to wait. Secondly, if it wasn't for me being an observant patron I wouldn't have known that all the utensils that I needed was self service. It's kind of weird to get your food then have to look around for utensils. Last thing I didn't care for is that they only offer can sodas. Who knew at the eastern end of the Great Plains you could find crab boil that's a good as anywhere on the gulf coast. We went in at the urging of a friend, we were a bit skeptical. We ordered the #1 crab and shrimp platter also a small shrimp platter with an added a cluster. There was nothing small about the small shrimp platter. Both orders included corn, a boiled egg, sausage and plenty of potatoes. Potatoes were done to perfect, sausage was spicy enough to tickle your throat without killing your taste buds. I think I need to try this place again on another day. My impression is mixed. They have the potential to be great but I think they are experiencing huge growth issues combined with being a new restaurant. My daughter and I got the $25 lemon pepper, crab and shrimp platters. I was asked to tip at the register but it's counter service like at McDonald's. I gave them $8.63 like an idiot for getting my own can of soda and food. They shouldn't ask for tips. #1 Don't tip them. This place is busy so be prepared to wait. They call my number after about 15 minutes and I see these skinny sad crab legs on my tray, I'm not happy, but the manager immediately took care of it. According to the manager they are having an issue with their crab distributor, she apologized and came to my table twice to make sure I was happy. #2 Ask if they have nice meaty legs before you pay. The food would have been AMAZING... BUT.... they put waaaaaaaaaaay too much lemon pepper salt on our food until it killed it. #3 tell them not to over do it with the salt! Everything was perfectly cooked including nice big shrimp. The sausage is sooooo good, I even enjoyed that boiled egg. We still ate a lot of our food and took leftovers, I just wiped some of the seasoning off. This joint is not nice inside. They have tables and chairs on a concrete floor. I swear there are about 3 dim 20 watt light bulbs. The music is poppin! #4 If you live close get your food to go. I waited close to an hour with everyone else along the walls. I ordered the dinner size crab and shrimp. It comes with two clusters of snow crab, ten shrimp, potatoes, one egg and a sausage link. This was for $25 without tax. Although I knew my wait would be long I tipped anyway. The crab was nicely seasoned and the lemon butter sauce is amazing. It was interesting that a couple was wearing black gloves eating crab lol. Not sure if they are given with dining in. Theres a lot of improvement to be done here reasons I gave it four stars. They also charge for dining in, I believe 10% of your bill. I think it's ridiculous but I guess this keeps the amount of customers present low. It would be awful if everyone tried to dine in. Made it on Thursday for the Grand Opening. Ordered 5 entrees including 1 Krab and Shrimp (Spicy). The others were all shrimp meals (original and Cajun) plus extra eggs and sausage. The young lady that took my order was patient as she explained my sauce choices. I was told it would be a 20 minute wait. It was closer to a hour. The male staff were very friendly and very helpful. The food was pretty good. They do charge extra for the sauce choices but I didn't realize that until after I got home and looked at my receipt. They also charge to dine in. Being a seafood lover I must say I was VERY impressed and I am a VERY PICKY eater. Even eating my left overs the next day, I was still impressed. I spent $99 for 5 entrees and extra eggs and sausage. A couple of suggestions: Create a "Signature Sauce" you could call it "Kingz Sauce" also consider serving your meals in a plastic bag instead of Styrofoam. I travel quite a bit and this is a hit in other cities around the country. Would I go back? YES!!!
