This review is for the experience my sister and I had on Saturday, February 14th. ^_^ My sis treated me to an amazing meal for my first Galentine's Day and Pearl Tavern blew my mind!! I know I'm a bit behind on my reviews again, but posting now other than later is still fine. lol.. I'm doing my best to keep up with what life is throwing at me. That being awkwardly included and all, sis and I dined on some of the best food I've had in a while. We shared smoked oysters topped with bread crumps and parmesan, a super spicy and flavorful salsa-type appetizer with habanero that came with surprisingly flavorful chips lol, we shared some crab cakes, a beautiful aquatic-toned alcoholic drink, and shared one of the best trout dishes I have ever had in my entire human life! 0__0 The rainbow trout was our favorite part of that entire experience, which was tough to decide on honestly.. My 2nd best thing were those oysters! Our waiter was so kind and entertaining, and I really hope we get him the next time I visit! If I remember correctly, his name was Tristin. Thankfully due to how early we were there that day, the restaurant wasn't super packed, so we had plenty of breathing air for most of our visit. During the last 15 minutes it began filling up! This review is a mess you guys, but it's still an absolute satisfied one!

Clean atmosphere. Good food. Reasonable prices. Friendly staff. First time here and I tried their daily oyster happy hour along with some other items. All the appetizers I tried were really good and I want to come back to try more of the food. The friendly service staff at the bar added to the enhanced atmosphere. Dimitri and his colleague were very attentive and we had some good conversation.

We came for my husband's birthday, and weren't disappointed! We love oysters which is why I chose this particular restaurant. With attentive service that was knowledgeable and unobtrusive and a quiet ambiance we knew we were in for a treat. The oysters were delicious, we reordered three times.

My wife and I came out to celebrate my birthday and our one year and we are so glad we did! Noah, our server, was fantastic! Made us feel welcome and explained the menu and options phenomenally! Trying oysters for the first time, and I was not disappointed! Tried 4 different types and it was great! For the main course, I had the Cioppino and my wife had the miso seabass. Both were fantastic, and highly recommend! The restaurant also has a great atmosphere! The music was not to loud and is very comfortable! The lighting wasn't to much and the decore also matched well. The bathrooms were also pleasant and comfortable. We will definitely be back and we hope to see Noah again!

I absolutely adore this place and wish I could go more often. My husband doesn't love fish as much as I do haha. Food is always stellar, service is unmatched and overall the atmosphere is wonderful in my experience.

I've been to Pearl Tavern a few times now, and it consistently hits the mark. This visit we had the Delaware Bay oysters (hard to beat the happy hour price), Caesar salad, popcorn shrimp, and fish and chips. Everything was fresh and well-executed--the oysters especially stood out. It wasn't overly busy for a Saturday, which made for a comfortable experience. The only downside was the service. Our server was polite but not very present, and we spent a good chunk of the meal with empty glasses. Not a dealbreaker, but noticeable. Still, the quality of the food and the laid-back vibe keep us coming back. Definitely worth a stop, especially if you can catch the oyster deal.

Tried some different items on my second visit here and enjoyed everything. Service is still superb and the atmosphere relaxing. Still a perfect place for a nice classy happy hour.

FYI- if you want to order from the Happy Hour menu, you HAVE TO BUY A DRINK! So, here's an unsweetened tea.

Food was mediocre, dining room was LOUD AS CRAP and freezing cold (I'm usually cold, but not in here!) Service was great! Pearl used to be our go-to nice dinner place, but NOT worth the prices anymore. I ordered the parmesan sole, which was so thin it was 90% parmesan, Brussels and cauliflower were good, but not special. Opted out of dessert because it was too cold to stay any longer.

This is definitely a great hangout with your friends. The service was great and the food was fantastic. We loved every single dishes we order including the dessert. And the biggest perk is that they have happy hour every day so I had to get my $1 oyster. First time experience and I will definitely come back.

I tried the oysters from the East and West Coast . The Bartenders at the bar are awesome ! Love their hospitality here. The space is big I'm surprised they are not packed out !

We tried this place for the first time tonight. It was pretty good. I was a little dubious about eating oysters in the middle of America, but these were good. They had a wide selection of oysters and I picked three of them and they were lovely. I also had the shrimp cocktail for an appetizer, and the prawns were enormous if not a wee bit overcooked. They were kind of chewy. The cocktail sauce was excellent. My wife shared the calamari appetizer with her sister, and they both enjoyed it. The hush puppies were excellent! My wife shrimp was a little bit too spicy for her. The menu said hot shrimp, which she assumed to be warm, but it was actually spicy. I had the crispy fish tacos and they were wonderful. I like spicy things and especially enjoyed the habanero salsa. We were all too full for dessert, but they did look good. We are happy to return to Pearl Tavern soon.

Service was amazing and the food/ drinks came out fast considering it was packed the day I went. Lobster roll was a little less flavorful than I'd prefer but it was good.

As transplants from another state, and BBQ not being our first language, we wanted to try new things! They came to the table and we were all sort of perplexed. Were they supposed to look like...that? Either way, we dug in. They were cold in the middle, also a strange discovery to us. I ordered the burnt ends, which came to the table closer to cold than warm. The blue cheese potato salad was tasty and all it needed was a lil salt and pepper to make it perfect. All was going well, until my husband was about 4-5 bites into his brisket wrap. He asked me to smell it, and I did. It was funky! Smelled a lot like a foot and not a lot like a tortilla. He asked the server to smell it and they agreed it was a bit odd. The manager came over and denied it smelling like anything. My husband had finished his meal, and we weren't looking for a freebie but wanted to let them know it was a lil weird. Instead of acknowledging the potential issue, we were dismissed as "wrong." It just didn't sit right with me. My husband had some definite issues in the hour or two after eating, so we won't be back. I won't say it was food poisoning because genuinely it could have just not agreed with my husband. I'll put my disclaimer on here, I hope people do enjoy and continue to patronize this small business, it's just not to my liking.

The service was really great and the place is really spacious. There was a private room near the bar that would work well for a bookclub discussion if you're looking for engaging conversation and delicious bites. My friend ordered the ranch rings and the chicken chile nachos. I tasted both and they were really delicious. Would definitely purchase during another visit and recommend you try. I was kinda skeptical about the goat cheese on the nachos but they made it work. I ordered the steak tacos (3 tacos) and the southwest au gratin potatoes. The steak tacos were good (would order again) but the potatoes weren't worth raving about. I enjoyed the pickled red onions and the slaw on the tacos. The steak was cooked medium but I like my steak that way so if that's not your jam - definitely clarify that to your server. Didn't get to try any of the cocktails but looking forward to returning to check out some of the selections offered!

We arrived around 5:30pm on a Saturday and were told there would be about a 10-minute wait, so we opted to grab seats at the bar and have dinner there instead. As the evening went on, we learned there are some trade-offs to dining at the bar. As the restaurant filled up, the bar area became increasingly busy and service naturally slowed. Small but noticeable details -- like water refills -- started getting overlooked. I was also surprised our server never checked in with my wife about her Chicken Pasta, especially since she barely touched it. We started with the Caesar Salad, which was excellent. The portion size was enormous -- easily large enough for two people to share -- with crisp romaine, generous dressing, and plenty of shaved Parmesan. I'm a longtime prime rib fan, so seeing it featured immediately caught my attention. The 13-ounce cut arrived perfectly medium rare, exactly as ordered. The meat was exceptionally tender and flavorful, complemented nicely by a rich au jus and a creamy horseradish ("horsey") sauce that added just the right kick. My wife ordered the Chicken Pasta, which arrived as a very generous portion that could easily serve two. The dish featured grilled chicken over pasta in a spicy Asiago cream sauce. Unfortunately, the heat level was stronger than expected and ended up overpowering the dish for her, leaving most of it uneaten. One highlight of the evening was the Double Black Diamond Martini -- an infusion of fresh pineapple with New Amsterdam Pineapple Vodka. At $7.95 during Happy Hour (normally $13.95), it felt like one of the best values on the menu and was refreshing without being overly sweet. The restaurant was packed throughout our visit and clearly has a loyal following. After six years in this location, Firebirds seems to have built a strong customer base. With a bit more attentiveness to bar diners during peak hours, the experience could easily move from good to great.

We visited the Red Lobster in Lee's Summit MO on 08-03-2026 about 2:40 pm…read more The greeter asked how many and we said we had three and we would prefer a booth. He asked if a half and half table was okay where half of the "booth" is a booth seat and half is two seats n the aisle at the table. We said we preferred a regular booth but if that was all they had it would be fine. We were kind of surprised when we entered the dining area as there were only people sitting at two other half and half tables (same row as us), but there were multiple (at least 18 that I could count from our seat) regular booths, some right across from our half and half booth with no one in them. Anyway, not the best experience but we were okay as I must sit in a booth due to medical concerns so took the booth portion of the half and half. Thankfully the booth situation was the only downside to our entire visit. Our group consisted of my wife, me, and a guest we had visiting from Colombia. After being seated our server Desiree introduced herself and asked if we would like something to drink, if we wanted to start with a starter appetizer) and if we had any questions about the menu. We ordered three waters and all three of us had the Monday Daily Special of Endless Shrimp which includes four options: garlic shrimp scampi, shrimp linguine alfredo, coconut shrimp, Walt's favorite shrimp. Each comes with one side which is not unlimited. For the first order you can get three of the four shrimp options. For successive orders you can order one at a time. If you re-order the garlic shrimp scampi and are on a limited time, be aware that dish takes the longest to prepare and begin to the table, about 7-8 minutes - worth the wait but a possibly important point for some in a hurry. All other options came out within about 3-4 minutes of re-order. My wife and I each started with the garlic shrimp scampi, shrimp linguine alfredo, walt's favorite shrimp, with broccoli for the side. All of the shrimp dishes were delicious. The scampi was sitting in a nice oblong bowl of garlic butter and was not greasy, and the dish was hot as was the scampi. The linguine was cooked perfectly and the alfredo was better than at some Italian style restaurants. Walt's shrimp came with a nice tasting cocktail sauce. The platter came with a lemon wedge. The broccoli was steamed perfectly providing a tender but not mushy bunch of florets, about nine florets on my platter. My wife's evaluation of her platter was the same, all perfect and delicious. Our guest had the same three types of shrimp to start, and selected fries for his side. He also enjoyed all of the shrimp and said his fries were nicely crisp on the outside and fluffy on the inside. Desiree came by every few minutes to see if we wanted to order any more shrimp and to check on waters. She was very good at keeping up with the tables in our row, maintaining a personal and business approach while being friendly and not rushed. There was no feeling on our part that there was any hesitation regarding any re-orders of shrimp. It felt like they were (at least Desiree) happy when you ordered more. We had additional orders of the various shrimp selections and also had the coconut shrimp as one of the re-orders. The coconut shrimp had a nice light spice to it which nicely complemented the sweetness of the coconut. It came with a side of sauce that did not taste like mayonnaise-anything but was a nice, slightly sweet, almost tropical white based sauce. Nice flavor and did not taste heavy. When it was time to pay, Desiree brought the ticket to the table, it as clear and easy to read. It has suggested tips on that include tax on the meal items as well as the tax, so be aware if using the suggestions. No reason to tip a tax. We tip based on service so servers actually do. better with us doing that anyway, if we used the erroneous suggested tips places like this use that include tax, it seems unauthentic on the part of the business. Payment was easy, they take cash, gift cards, or credit cards and there is no extra charge for credit cards. We enjoyed our meal and thanked Desiree for being an excellent server. Our experience will likely cause us to visit again next the future. My wife and I agreed the food was much better than the last time we were there.
