Little gem off the beaten path. Tonight we tried the fried catfish and the fried flounder baskets. It came with fries and hushpuppies. We added fried okra and coleslaw. All of the food was really good, but we loved the atmosphere just as much. The waitstaff is excellent. Cant wait to come back and try the jambalaya and gumbo. Definitely worth the visit and you wont break the bank.

I pulled up to this place and instantly noticed how fun, and cute the outside decor was. Inside it was open seating, so we found a booth. I ordered a bowl of gumbo with hush puppies, and it was good and flavorful not too spicy. The hush puppies were fried just right. The service was great too.

Imagine stepping back in time to when things were simpler, and you'll find yourself at The Fish Market. Just a good old place for all things fried fish, and one of their specialties fried gizzards. There are so many good things to try, and really can't go wrong, but we had the fried shrimp and catfish combo as well as the blackened catfish. We had a jumbo order of fried gizzards, and they were very tender and juicy! Other items we had were the coconut rice (wow this is good), hush puppies, cornbread..all the good fixings you can think of. Might be out of the way, but definitely worth the stop in, and they are famous for their ice cold beer. Final review: 5/5 stars

Tonight as we sat at the ball field we decided to have The Fish Market. Ordering takeout on the app is so easy which is great for us. We decided on the Horn High Hugo as it would feed 2 adults and possibly a small kiddo. Our meal consisted of alligator, chicken strips, shrimp, and a crab cake: sides potato salad and hush puppies. Everything was very well done my husbands fav was the potato salad and hush puppies. I liked the alligator and shrimp. However I felt like the hush puppies could use a little more pizazz. Everything that's fried is in a corn meal breading just in case you not a fan. Overall it was good I got my fried food fix for awhile and the price was decent for the amt that was received.

First time eating here. I was actually quite impressed. Arrived around 5:30, so it was already getting dark. The place literally looked like a hole in the wall from the outside. We were immediately greeted upon entering and seated. Server came right away and took our drink orders. Ordered some hush puppies for an appetizer, which I didn't realize came with a meal when you ordered it. My mom and I ordered the large shrimp platter, which was 1# of shrimp. It was DELICIOUS and tasty with lots of flavor! I would highly recommend it! We also ordered the chocolate chip cookie sundae for dessert. It wasn't exactly what I was expecting. The cookie was rather dry even with the ice cream on top of it. The strawberry cake was just okay, nothing really to brag about. The service was good and she kept our ice tea filled up for the most part. She had a bubbly personality as well. I would recommend this place. Don't always judge a place by the way the outside looks! We happen to be there on a night Santa and Mrs. Claus was visiting.

Cute place that is definitely off the beaten path!!! I love that it's kind of in the middle of no where! The decor is so cute and gives ocean pier vibes! I got the jambalaya and it was pretty good. It was a little mushy compared to other ones I've had but the flavor was there and the bowl was huge. Definitely had leftovers. And the hush pipes are fireeee!!! Yum!! I would definitely go back and try other things on the menu!!!

The Fish Market offered a nice selection of food. We got the sampler platter called the Horn High Hugo. We tried 4 different meats and 2 sides - Catfish, alligator, flounder, chicken strips, hush puppies, and potato salad. The flounder and potato salad was my favorite! Great spot, we will be coming back!

Stopped in for an early dinner and got a spot at the very small bar...5 seats but WELL worth it! Bartender was awesome. Started with an appetizer of spicy gizzards ....not crunchy but perfectly seasoned and tender. Beer is served in an ice cold mug and we split a jumbo shrimp and catfish basket!!! Catfish nuggets were very fresh and tasty! Would DEFINITELY recommend this hidden gem

I was hoping to try a Cajun entree, but those are just offered as specials. Tonight's was gumbo...but just wasn't in the mood for that. We had the Calamari, crawfish boil and a shrimp po boy with potato salad. Po boy was good...nothing to rave about. I wasn't a fan of the potato salad- just a tad dry for me. The boil was spicy, which was great...but crawfish didn't taste fresh-but was rubbery. Calamari was a little chewy for my taste. Now, our experience wasn't awful...just had better and it was a little disappointing. Our server was great! Helpful with questions, and very friendly.

Was it the best ravioli I've ever had? No, but they were good. The peanut butter dream (eaten later) was yummy. I really want to come back and try the shrimp & grits. The pork tenderloin sandwich was made fresh. It was really good. It wasn't one of those super thin, huge, flavorlessly ridiculous tenderloins. It was human size and tasty. I'd get that again myself. Prices were decent.

We love to slow down, enjoy the atmosphere and each other's company. We love that it doesn't echo, voices aren't carrying, and we can hold a conversation with each other while great music plays in the background. It's a small business, black owned, family owned (BossLady!!), and family working on site. I find being flexible and enjoying the amazzzzzing shrimp is worth it. Next time, they'll have what you think you need, or you'll find a new favorite. Restaurant Week is tough on small business participants, especially with the RW parameters and requirements, but we remained flexible and found a new favorite. It looked like many new customers were really excited to be there, and it's about the busiest I've seen it when we have been in. We dined during Restaurant Week, and ordered the Burnt Ends and Garlic Butter Shrimp. The Burnt Ends were SOOOO tender, and the flavor of the meat really shined, especially for a restaurant that specializes in seafood. Mac and Cheese is always good! But the garlic butter shrimp......I could eat that all day. The cheesesticks were delicious and the lemon cake dessert! We've also had the BOSS item on the menu, perfect fried shrimp, perfect air fried real potato fries, lemon pepper shrimp, corn on the cob, and we love them all, no complaints! Have patience, give Grace. The young people are very nice, quiet and kind. We've met at least 3 of the family who work in the front. They are really sweet and trying to do their best for you. I'm so glad to see them there!! These are the kind of businesses that I like to support and I think others should, too. Are some young people working their family's hard fought business instead of doing what most people assume young people are doing?? YES. Owners that LOVE what they do....making people happy with their food, while doing what they love? YES! Those are the things that matter, and this restaurant deserves to be famous for the seafood, based on taste alone.
