During our visit to Bristol, one person made our experience unforgettable: General Manager Brittany Padillas. I was excited to try the Lobster and Crab Roll, but I have a severe allergy to crab while lobster is perfectly safe for me. I asked our server, Ryan, if it would be possible to prepare the roll without the crab. He told me confidently that it couldn't be done because the lobster and crab were already premixed I asked if he could possibly ask someone and he said no. I was quite disappointed because I really wanted to try their roll. Although I suspected there might be another way, I didn't want to make an issue of it, so I simply accepted his answer with reluctance. A few moments later, as I was walking to the restroom, I happened to meet Brittany Padillas, GM for Bristol, She warmly asked how everything was, and I told her our meal had been wonderful except that I wasn't able to order the Lobster and Crab Roll because of my crab allergy. I explained what our server Ryan had stated. Without hesitation, she responded, "We absolutely could have accommodated you." She explained that the kitchen could prepare a fresh lobster roll without the crab. She asked if my husband and I had about 10 minutes to wait before leaving, and of course we gladly did. A short time later, Brittany personally brought me the most delicious, fresh, warm lobster roll I have ever eaten. It was absolutely outstanding. I was so impressed. What impressed me even more than the food was Brittany's attitude. The word "no" simply doesn't seem to exist in her customer service vocabulary. She genuinely cares about every guest's experience and goes above and beyond to make things right. Her professionalism, leadership, compassion, and commitment to excellence are exactly what every General Manager should strive for. As someone who has spent more than four decades in the culinary industry, and a professional food critic I can confidently say that Brittany Padillas is one of the finest General Managers I've ever encountered. Her hospitality is exceptional, her dedication is genuine, and she represents Bristol with the highest level of excellence. Thank you, Brittany, for turning what could have been a disappointment into one of the highlights of our dining experiences.
