We got there right at the time they open (11 am), and they were not finished setting up for the day and had us wait while they finished. We said it was no problem, but it was so long that it became frustrating. If you open at 11, that means open and ready for customers, not still setting up. Our waitress, however, was very nice and explained how the menu works. She brought us water, but it was terrible - by terrible, I mean country water with that weird metallic taste. Our waitress said she knew and that it was just how Gladstone water is - my husband agrees. Anyway, we ordered one of the boil bags with crab legs and shrimp. It came our pretty quickly and they did provide bibs and wet wipes and there were napkins on the table, so we could use as many as we wanted. Our waitress opened our bag for us and dumped it into the waiting tray. They have buckets on the table for all the shells and other trash. We did wear our bibs and said we would only have this meal with certain people because it is messy!! It was the crab legs that made it messy - if I went with someone else I would probably have shrimp (awesome) and sausage (didn't try, but I bet it's good). The shells of the crab legs were a bit soft, which our waitress asked us about. She said they have a new chef, so she was happy to provide some coaching. The place is way bigger on the inside than it appears from the front. Plenty of seating. I definitely recommend checking it out!!

Let's start with the decor: gorgeous, cozy, and tastefully executed--the perfect backdrop for a top-notch dining experience. The staff is personable and warm, and Brandon (the sous chef) was an absolute delight to speak with and learn from. He is truly passionate about oysters and a consummate chef, paying such close attention to the finer details of how to truly enjoy the marvels he flies in fresh to his restaurant. The food: wow. Oysters were as beautiful as they were varied and delicious; jamon iberico de bellota (this was the real deal, by the way) that transported me back to Catalunya; a panko-breaded halibut dish with mashed potatoes and some of the most vibrant collared greens I've ever eaten. EVERYTHING was delivered with such precision and beauty, and the flavors were from another planet. The experience: as good as it gets. Have patience, give Grace. The young people are very nice, quiet and kind. We've met at least 3 of the family who work in the front. They are really sweet and trying to do their best for you.
