5 stars for Krave Tea one of my favorite boba spots! I have to say my favorite is the Vietnamese coffee with boba or even brown sugar boba (if you want it a little sweeter). I don't know what they do differently with their boba but Krave Tea does a great job! Perfectly chewy and the size boba is bigger than other tea shops. If high caffeine isn't your thing, taro, or Thai tea is also good options. Krave makes drinks quickly, so you're not waiting forever to grab your drink. Nice sitting area if you wanna hang with your drink. There's even a reward program where you can score a free drink after a certain number of purchases. I've wanted to try out this place for years and I finally got to! It was great. Their ambience and drinks are super aesthetically pleasing and the service was awesome. Both of the workers were so kind and answered any questions we had. They also give quite a good amount of boba! Usually places skimp out on toppings but that wasnt the case here. There are only a certain amount of people allowed inside because of social distancing which wasn't so bad. There are limited seating as well so be prepared for that. I love going to this place for Boba! Upon walking in, you'll notice a modern and minimalist interior -- there are some picture of their drinks on their wall, and a counter to make your order. I ordered their black sugar boba with fresh milk (one of their signature drinks). However, their menu has a good selection of fruit, herbal, and milk teas. On the bottom of your receipt, they have a text-in reward system, where ten purchases earns you a free drink. Each drink is about $5 - $6, which is a little pricey for boba, but it's not ridiculous. As for the service, the employees were helpful when answering my questions. I even pulled up pictures on Yelp and asked them what the drinks were. You can even watch the "baristas" prepare your drinks behind a small counter. My order was simple; they drizzle the brown sugar around the edges of the cup, place the boba, then pour milk. Even though it sounds so easy, it tastes amazing -- make sure you drink from the bottom. The combination of brown sugar and milk was sweet and creamy. This is a cute little spot in a shopping strip in Winter park/Mills area. They're about two miles away from the Whole Foods that opened here a few years back. I'm always a fan of cute cafes with low chill music and some tables to sit and enjoy people watching. I got a matcha milk tea and was very happy that I could customize the level of sweetness. My wife saw this place on social media and has been bugging me to give it a try for weeks now. We're all the way out in Lake Mary and there's so many boba tea places that I was hesitant to make the drive just for another. But wow, this guy really stands out!!! On a Sunday afternoon all the tables were full which was fine since we were taking it to-go anyways. We both went for the Thinker with boba pearls. It's a honey butterfly milk tea. To be honest I'm still not sure what butterfly tea is, but it's delicious. It was beautiful to look at but also tasted great. The balance of tea and milk is perfect. I watched the girl making the drinks and they measure everything precisely with a cup so you know your drink is made correct and precise every time. I was surprised that I could taste the honey as it didn't look like too much went into it. The boba balls were excellent. They are a bit larger than some other places but cooked perfectly- not too soft and not too chewy. The tea itself was floral and delicate but with the milk and honey, it was a real treat. I hate when boba places just dump a bunch of sugar and milk in a cup to the point where there's hardly any tea. Krave tea gets it right. Not too sweet, and a perfect balance of all the ingredients. This place doesn't look like much from the outside, but the drinks are some of the best I've had! I got the hojicha tea with black sugar boba (about $8 with a nondairy milk substitute) which is on the pricier end, but this is one of those unique places where it is totally worth it. The tea was chilled, unsweetened, and had an earthy flavor, while the boba was warm and very sugary, so it was a perfectly balanced drink--reminded me of yin and yang. I was already halfway through my drink because it was so good when I realized I hadn't gotten a picture! The way they add the boba to the cup also makes for an artistic and painterly brown wash that looks very aesthetic! And the store has lots of cute decorated spots to take pictures with the drinks. They have plastic straws that can be reused or single use bamboo straws available, and the staff were very kind in answering questions about the menu. They are understandably stern about store customer capacity which is still a maximum of 6 inside, so be prepared to wait a few moments outside. Due to COVID they were limiting entry to six people in the shop at the most recent time I went and they do require masks for entry. They were kind enough to supply masks just outside their door. That was strange and confusing. One of the customers was kind enough to step out to allow us entry to make our order. Not the best experience but we still got our boba in the end. We needed a quick Boba fix and found this on google search. After we arrived, we realized this location is at my old neighborhood so instantly I had some high hope of good quality Boba. That expectation was quickly (mildly) crushed when the large group of teenagers (equally important customers) were all waiting inside the store, but only 2 had actually ordered. The nice server/ owner lady would not allow us to enter because of COVID scare, which we totally understand. BUT if you are one of those who are against lock down/ mask requirement, you probably not going to enjoy the 'restrictive' environment in this tore. Inside the store it had a nice modern feel which about 3 seats available for waiting. We ordered 2 separate Boba, and my apologies I do not remember what we actually got.
