My wife had a doctor's appointment in Maitland, and we were hungry after, so we headed here, even though it was a little early for dinner. We parked and walked in. The place is small but quaint; there was only another patron in there, and the host told us to sit wherever we wanted. We chose a booth next to the window, and he brought us menus and informed us it was Happy Hour! He brought water and I ordered beer and Saké off af the Happy Hour menu, as well as Edamame and Summer Rolls. We both ordered bowls of Pho. The Edamame and Summer Rolls were excellent, and the peanut sauce was incredible! The Pho came, and my bowl was huge! The broth was so tasty- I knew we had made a good choice. The beef was tender and flavorful. The spicy chili on the side was excellent. Make sure to come for Happy Hour, the prices are great! When I looked at the menu, I thought the prices just a tad on the high side, but when I saw the huge portion size, including the fragrant jasmine rice served with it, (enough for two meals) and the high-quality ingredients cooked and seasoned to perfection, I think their price point is justified. The tofu summer rolls were tasty but a little on the slim side, so I would say the price was on the high side for that menu item. I waited outside since I had my dog with me about 30 mins but eventually went inside since I never got a text saying the order was ready, turns out it was ready. There was no one inside dining at that time since it was late but more people picking up to go orders. I got the chicken vermicelli dish. It was a good size, lots of noodles, I wish it had more lettuce and cilantro. I didn't see any mint. It had loads of bean sprouts. The chicken looked good but tasted odd like it had either been cooked earlier and the day and now had rubber texture or it was previously frozen and then heated up. It wasn't juicy succulent chicken or had the fresh off the grill flavor like in other places. I had such a lovely time at this spot! We arrived around 7:45 on a Wednesday night. Note that its neighbors in the shopping center seem quite popular and parking was a bit of a hassle. We were seated right away, nice mixture of booths, standard tables, and half booth half chair tables. The sea salt edamame was perfectly seasoned and steamed nice. The pho was also amazing. For entrees, we chose Buddha Delight with an upgrade to cauliflower rice (+$3) and Curry Stir Fry with Beef upgrade (+$1). The Buddha Delight, aptly named, delivered a tasty vegetarian experience and the cauliflower rice stood on its own. I enjoyed the yellow curry sauce with very fresh stir fry veggies and beef that was surprisingly just okay. Ordered in again because there was a Bogo on Uber. Got two chicken pho and a double order of fried chicken dumplings. It was a very satisfying meal for a Friday night. The dumplings were crispy and not greasy. One pho with chicken was enough for the two of us so we will have a repeat dinner. What I liked about their version is that you get 5 nice slices of chicken. The restaurant was clean and the service for to go was great. The ice coffee was good- it was strong but needed a flavor for me so I put some vanilla cream at home and that was all it needed from me. I was a bit disappointed with the pho. The broth had a specific flavor I wasn't too keen on. And idk I did miss having more vegetables than just bean spouts. This meal was $20, I personally think that's a bit high for a small soup and a large iced coffee (haven't gotten used to the inflation). Fantastic and attentive service. Very clean and aesthetically put together. The pho was tasty, healthy and affordable. The "small" was ridiculously large, so I can only wonder how large the bigger sizes might have been, but who can complain about something like that? The summer rolls were very fresh and colorful with great veggies. The thai iced coffee was excellent, with a very rich coffee flavor that didn't get lost in the sweetness like most other places. Now this is a Pho spot primarily and when I tried my cousin's chicken pho the broth was actually quite flavorful. I'm not the biggest Pho fan (ironic, cause I LOVE ramen) but I can confirm that even as not a big Pho fan it was pretty tasty. I decided to get the Chicken Pad Thai, and that was OK, but not my favorite Pad Thai. I ended up ordering more noodles because it felt like a lot more sauce and chicken and not as much noodles. The Summer Rolls filled with both shrimp and pork were delicious and the accompanying peanut sauce was equally tasty. For my main course, I sampled the Grilled Pork Chop Rice Platter and added a sunny side-up egg to my order. The only quibble I have with the lunch item was the relatively small pork chop portion which was offered. I've been to their Lake Mary location multiple times and have never been disappointed. I knew I had to give it a try when I found out there was another location! The inside is spacious and beautiful! One of my take out hot spots! A few months ago I stumbled upon CP&G on the way home from work and was immediately hooked. It's great for take out but a nice atmosphere for quick dine in as well. First and foremost, this place is SO PHOKING GOOD! I was in the mood for soup and wanted something light yet filling and the chicken pho at City Pho and Grill gave me exactly what I wanted in a meal for a reasonably price! The broth was extremely flavorful and tasted nurturing for the body and soul. So amazing. The location is also convenient as it is in the heart of Maitland. Parking is readily available with a lot of restaurants, bars, and shops within the surrounding area. The place's interior was kept clean and had a modern vibe. When I was inside the restaurant I saw a poster for a promotion called "Thirsty Thursday" which advertised a pho bowl for $8.99 (will definitely be back for that)! The service was very fast and would also like to note that the servers were very kinda as well! The restaurant closes at 10 PM on Fridays and I arrived at 9:15 PM and had ordered and was served my meal by 9:31 PM according to my phones timestamp so definitely a great place to eat if you are in a hurry but still want a nice quality sit down meal. In conclusion, the food was *chefs kiss,* the prices were great, the place was clean, the service was fast, and the workers were polite so a win win win all around. Yummy pho! This review is mainly about their pho, not about the rest of the menu. I really like their pho because the broth is flavorful even without adding anything to it (although I still add all the herbs, jalapeños, some hoisin, and some sriracha to make it spicy). Their noodles have a nice texture and taste. I like to get my pho with their steak because I'm basic in that regard, but they do offer tripe and tendons if you are into it. Their summer rolls are pretty good too. Try it. As for the dining experience, it's a simple place but the staff is friendly and helpful.
