Chicken bacon ranch and the pastrami Subs I split with the wifey.

Brought my wife to Alaska on vacation to show her my old stomping grounds. It's been almost 15 years. Been hitting up some of my favorite places and I was hoping that Krazy Moose was as good a I remember it. Of course, it was! I love the history of the old building and the friendliness of the staff (which is a huge score for me, I can tolerate bad food if the customer service was friendly). The food speaks for itself. Bread baked fresh daily and once they are out they are done selling. The portion sizes are bigger than I remember but tasty as ever. I highly recommend Krazy Moose!

Well I guess one good thing came out of my vehicle breaking down in Wasilla, I got to FINALLY try this old timey deli sandwich shop. The food kinda reminds me a lot of Sarah's in Anchorage. Overall good hearty sandwiches && heart warming soups! I treated my friend who helped me limp my car to her house in the valley to this awesome heart warming meal. We both got sandwiches, soup && shared a very large grilled chicken salad. The grilled chicken salad was noiiiice with a hearty amount of chicken && veg. I don't remember what size of sandwich we got - but it was quite largo! Multiple meals came from this wich! The bread was soft but nice and flakey on the outside, but didn't get soggy on the drive home from the dressings && fresh veggies. We got the Clam Chowder && the jambalaya. The jambalaya was less to be desired, wished we would have gotten the rice on the side since it soaked up the liquid of the jambalaya on the way home, BUT the Clam Chowder was good! They also had a generously stocked sauce bar which was also well stocked with TOGO utensils && napkins! This place highly recommended in my book!

We enjoyed it. First time here. My wife and I each had a 5" sub. I had the Italian and she had the Philly Cheesesteak. Service is counter service and they bring your food out to your table when done. Service was friendly. The sandwiches were good. I might favor Jimmy John's over Krazy Moose but we did enjoy it, they have a few choices of sizes and a large variety of both cold and hot subs. I'd eat here again.

Great atmosphere and service. Sandwich selection is great and our favorite is the seafood sub. They have most of the traditional subs on the menu with a variety of sizes. Bonus: Cookies are thick and cakey (and delicious). Great place to stop in Wasilla!

Super good sandwich's at affordable prices. Was happy to see I can sit down in a restaurant and not pay a fortune as Alaska prices are always so high in restaurants. Would much rather have this over fast food! Will definitely be back again!

This sandwich spot in Wasilla has your standard sub options. The restaurant is large and has plenty of seating if the upstairs area is open. The sandwiches are large and filling. They also make a small selection of cookies and baked goods that are good. I'm not sure but it seems like they make their own bread onsite. There are lots of old pictures of the town on the walls. They seem to have won many Best of the Valley awards so that should be an indication of their popularity.

Never been disappointed. Their bread makes is work. My favorite place I Wasilla to grab a sub.

The meat on our sub and sandwich was VERY sparse. Wouldn't return. Two inches on the end of the sub didn't have any meat.

Really good subs! A little pricey but would go back to try their other ones. Do get their cinnamon rolls! You will not be disappointed.

We looked everywhere until an office worker told us they moved and to check the Facebook page. The Facebook page directed us to some bingo hall down the road and had a picture describing the hours as open at 11am, and another picture saying she opened at 12p.... ANYWAYS.... So we drove to the bingo place to find a little food stand, clearly closed. We ask someone who works there and they said "oh she'll be in later". Not sure what this business' issue is with establishing and conveying accurate hours of operation or even a location but because of all this running around and inaccuracy, we'll never try to come back again.

The interior design could use some work except the little fireplace nook they have is super cute. They had a Christmas tree that was only half lit and decorated which was weird. We got coffees; two sunrise sandwiches and the potato soup in a bread bowl. Both the sandwiches were very good! Definitely a great spot for them and with any of the bread choices, which there are MANY! I'll absolutely come back for them! The bread bowl is just white bread which was disappointing as I thought they'd have a sourdough option. The bread was super doughy inside as if the soup had been sitting in it for hours or it wasn't baked all the way through and it tasted like it was missing salt maybe. The soup was fine, nothing great but not bad. Similar to what you may buy canned at the grocery store. The coffee didn't come out until we were about ready to leave which I expected as it seemed they had barely 2-3 people working at one time. If they did more bread bowl options, experimented with the soup flavors more (or start making it homemade if they buy it commercially), and redecorated, I'd 100% give this place 5 stars. Regardless, great place for sandwiches and coffee and I'll totally be back!

Since I was too sick to really do anything, including go to the Yelp Elite event, he took pity on me and we went on a drive around the scenic valley. While we were cruising around we got hungry, so I utilized my Jersey Mike app to pre-order us some dinner, so all my husband had to do was pop in and pick it up. My husband tells me the shop is nicer and bigger than the one in Anchorage... what else is new. The Valley always gets bigger and better. Our sandwiches were made as expected with no errors. I order in Anchorage all the time and this one was exactly the same. I like that dependability. It helps that their cheesesteaks (not Philly- you Alaskan weirdos- I was born in Philly, Philly is a place not a fucking sandwich) are perfect. Since moving to Alaska from Jersey a decade and a half ago, I have been longing for a proper cheesesteak. This is as close as you are going to get, minus the stupid red peppers, which ABSOLUTELY MUST BE OMITTED. They do NOT belong on the sandwhich and ruin the entire flavor profile. Thankfully the app makes it very easy to modify your sandwich to your preferences. What I think is the true proof of the quality of the sandwich is if it needs condiments. This sub does not. I typically drown my cheesesteaks in ketchup. But this sandwich has the perfect balance of cheese and meat, and the meat had an excellent flavor with no gross chewy pieces. I have a really REALLY bad meat aversion, so bad that I was a vegetarian for 5.5 years, because I can't deal with tendons and miscellaneous meat appearances in my meal. But my love of cheesesteaks is literally what brought me back to carnivorous lifestyle. I'd die in a sword death for a proper cheesesteak. And Jersey Mike's has it going on.
