Never been disappointed. Their bread makes is work. My favorite place I Wasilla to grab a sub.

A cute little community-owned restaurant, the decor was cute and had a good amount of seating, with upstairs and downstairs seating alongside outdoor seating. The restrooms were nice and clean. The subways were tasty-- the wait was moderate. The food was all high quality. A little more expensive when compared to Subway, but the food was definitely worth the price. The bread was super soft and all of the vegetables were fresh. Great for our group of eight! A great place to stop at if you are visiting. read more

The meat on our sub and sandwich was VERY sparse. Wouldn't return. Two inches on the end of the sub didn't have any meat.

Brought my wife to Alaska on vacation to show her my old stomping grounds. It's been almost 15 years. Been hitting up some of my favorite places and I was hoping that Krazy Moose was as good a I remember it. Of course, it was! I love the history of the old building and the friendliness of the staff (which is a huge score for me, I can tolerate bad food if the customer service was friendly). The food speaks for itself. Bread baked fresh daily and once they are out they are done selling. The portion sizes are bigger than I remember but tasty as ever. I highly recommend Krazy Moose! read more

Well I guess one good thing came out of my vehicle breaking down in Wasilla, I got to FINALLY try this old timey deli sandwich shop. The food kinda reminds me a lot of Sarah's in Anchorage. Overall good hearty sandwiches && heart warming soups! I treated my friend who helped me limp my car to her house in the valley to this awesome heart warming meal. We both got sandwiches, soup && shared a very large grilled chicken salad. The grilled chicken salad was noiiiice with a hearty amount of chicken && veg. I don't remember what size of sandwich we got - but it was quite largo! Multiple meals came from this wich! The bread was soft but nice and flakey on the outside, but didn't get soggy on the drive home from the dressings && fresh veggies. We got the Clam Chowder && the jambalaya. The jambalaya was less to be desired, wished we would have gotten the rice on the side since it soaked up the liquid of the jambalaya on the way home, BUT the Clam Chowder was good! They also had a generously stocked sauce bar which was also well stocked with TOGO utensils && napkins! This place highly recommended in my book! read more

We enjoyed it. First time here. My wife and I each had a 5" sub. I had the Italian and she had the Philly Cheesesteak. Service is counter service and they bring your food out to your table when done. Service was friendly. The sandwiches were good. I might favor Jimmy John's over Krazy Moose but we did enjoy it, they have a few choices of sizes and a large variety of both cold and hot subs. The staff were very polite and the atmosphere feels like a comfortable sandwich shop with a classic face; however, we couldn't even eat our sandwiches because they tasted like nothing but mayonaise. They were good sized sandwiches. I have had co-workers say good things about Krazy Moose but I'm thinking it just isn't for us. We've eaten here twice now with the same experience trying different options. Maybe no/very light mayo if we try again. read more

While the convenience of Krazy Moose Subs makes it a great stop for a quick lunchtime trip, if convenience is not your goal I recommend searching for another spot. This sandwich spot in Wasilla has your standard sub options. The restaurant is large and has plenty of seating if the upstairs area is open. The sandwiches are large and filling. They also make a small selection of cookies and baked goods that are good. I'm not sure but it seems like they make their own bread onsite. There are lots of old pictures of the town on the walls. They seem to have won many Best of the Valley awards so that should be an indication of their popularity. read more

First time coming here, subs were pretty good. Just a regular sandwich shop. Not sure if they make the bread themselves or they get it somewhere locally. It is soft and fresh. They have lots of different kinds either hot or cold. Otherwise your average assembly line of toppings with fake American cheese and shredded lettuce. Great local sub shop! They have the best cookies too. I used to love their cheeseburger sub when I ate meat, so today was my first time trying their veggie sub. It's very good! Love the pepperoncinis, banana peppers, and green peppers with the oil and vinegar. Super tangy and delicious contrasted with the cream cheese. I also love that they pepper their lettuce. I've eaten at this place off and on again since they first opened. I've gotta say they're really not that great. I keep wanting them to get better, which is why I have eaten there at least once a year. The bread to meat ration in my opinion is off, meats are not that flavorful especially their chicken, vegetables always seem to be limp or wilted. Even their soups always seem to need more salt, which I'm normally opposed too.
