This will be a quick one since it's a cute lil' place, but here goes! While hanging out at the MGM Casino in Springfield for my fiancée's anniversary of turning 29 we saw some folks walking around with these milkshakes and they really wanted to let us know they had alcohol in them! Lol. They instantly became our friends and we then made our way to where they got those shakes from. Here's how things went. Atmosphere/Appearance: This place instantly reminded me of Christmas. It was the beginning of August, but I felt like I was transported to the end of the year or to the North Pole as soon as I stepped inside. Now it wasn't decked out with Christmas decorations or anything, but when you visit I think you'll understand what I mean. So this place is like a gift shop, featuring a coffee shop that had the privilege of adding alcohol to your shakes! Service: John hooked our shakes up along with his partner in crime. They were so funny, energetic and it seemed like they were having fun too! All of the staff were super friendly and made us feel welcome. Food: I went with the Oreo shake (I can't think of the correct name at the moment since this is 3 months later and I'm catching up), but it was delicious. I had a few shots of vodka added in to make it a bit stronger, but I could hardly tasted, though I felt it later. Lol. Value: I'm really dropping the ball with my memory on this review, but I think it was $8.00? Maybe $10.00 for my shake? Just got and see for yourself! They're worth it! In conclusion, if I didn't have to watch my carbs and my sweets intake, I'd be up in here all the time! A little kitschy, but you're already at a casino, right? The biggest emphasis is definitely the candles, of course. I truly didn't realize how many different permutations of candles there could be. They also sell some fancy chocolate and oil. We went for the back area, where you can order treats and drinks. They had a few milkshakes for $12 ($2+ with alcohol). I liked my husband's Almond Joy. It had a small but discernible kick with the alcohol. I got the White Russian, which was just too sweet. I couldn't finish it. A good spot for a treat. read more

The epic milkshake photos on Yelp drew me to this spot, located in the MGM plaza. I was surprised to learn that it's a combo of a candle shop, home decor shop, and alcohol milkshake/chocolate shop. While this could have been pulled off, it comes off as too kitschy... AND all of the candle scents in the shop actually ruin the milkshake drinking experience. When your nose is filled with artificial scents of maple, magnolia, and citrus, it's hard to enjoy the scents and taste of marshmallows and chocolate. Nevertheless, the milkshake wasn't bad. I chose the non-alcoholic version of S'more or Nothings. It had a nice malty milkshake taste and cake with whipped cream, chocolate sauce, a graham cracker, and two roasted marshmallows. Overall, it feels like Kringle is trying to do too much. Beyond candles, they also had a big display of olive oils, a counter of chocolates, another counter of baked goods, a number of home decor pieces (including a pair of mass-produced lamps priced at $299.99 each). If you're visiting the casino and staying only within the casino, it's worth venturing outside into the plaza to check out. But if you're in Springfield, just get a $5 Frappuccino at a Starbucks (instead of this $12 milkshake--$14 with alcohol), because you'll be pretty much getting the same experience, but without all of the competing sights and smells of the Kringle shop! read more

Kringle is such a cute spot located on MGM's property. I think the location and overall view of the outside - historic church building, throws people off initially but it is so worth the visit in MGM's back plaza area. When you first walk in you're greeted by amazing scents from their candles, snacks and chocolate candy area. The wide variety and selection of candles is perfect. Just enough to be able to find something you love! The employees are very helpful with ordering what may not be currently on hand at their store due to limited supply. My favorite thing to get at Kringle are the adult milkshakes. I'm not too fond of alcohol in any kind of milk based drink but these, are fantastic. Just a couple dollars more than the virgin offering they supply which is a no brainer in my opinion. Presentation is as great as they look. Yummy! read more

Kringle Emporium is a unique addition to the Springfield area with its combination of candles, home decor, sweet treats and of course, alcoholic milkshakes! The milkshakes are pricy at $14 each, but being that the non-alcoholic version is $12, it isn't a bad price. I tried the S'mores milkshake and had a sip of my coworker's Gingerbread milkshake. Both were DELICIOUS and pretty strong as well - you could definitely taste the alcohol. I've also had cookies from here before which are huge and loaded up with chocolate. This is a cool place. The candles are really fun and smell nice. I love how its also a bar with milkshakes, candy, and cocktails. Very nice touch! Everyone here is very warm and inviting. If I come back to the area I would stop in again. The outdoor patio is really cute with nice seating. Things are a little expensive, but I would say its worth it. read more

Had a wonderful stop into the Kringle Emporium at MGM! I love the elegant farmhouse decor and how The Farm Table is also honored at this satellite location! We all know Kringle has gorgeous, well-poured and long-burning candles, but I'd be lying if I said they were the main attraction at the Emporium. We all know that the artfully crafted Adult Milkshakes are taking the casino by storm. Plan for some time when ordering these masterpieces because perfection takes time. As you can see by my pics, I opted for the American Dream. A jumbo cup filled with vanilla ice cream, rum, topped with whipped cream, caramel, nutmeg a green apple slice and a mini apple pie. It truly is the new American Dream. Not to mention how we got a Kringle iced drink koozie! Bonus! My brother also grabbed a solid black cup of coffee. It was hot & rich and perfect to keep you up to hit the tables! The staff was fabulous and friendly both for sales and on the food and beverage side. Now most perhaps may not expect this spot to have flat bread pizza but this spot does besides having scented candles & adult beverages which myself I don't think much of. This one I had a jackpot one which came with bacon, pineapple, jalapenos & pepperoni and I was set up for the bit of this day. Yes it may have a bit of a pricey aspect but this spot won't disappoint. read more

Candles, candy, coffee...some of my favorite things. I ordered a hazelnut flavored coffee with coconut milk. And then at the other counter I purchased bottles of olive oil (Tuscan herb and garlic) as well as a Fig infused balsamic vinegar. As a note if you want to use M Life points they would have to double the price of your order. So I only used points on the coffee not the olive oil. read more

The store is equipped with a nice sampling of the products you can get at the main store. The milkshakes though were likely a one-time deal for us. $14 or $12 for a milkshake is steep, regardless of how cool it looks. We'll go back for the rest of the items in the store, but not likely any milkshakes. read more

Love the spiked hot chocolates!! We came with a big group visiting from FL and California and we all loved the drinks. Just enough to warm you up while watching the kids skate and the staff were very personable especially the guy who made our hot cocoa. I highly suggest the hot cocoa with banana rum! Kringle emporium at MGM has a homey welcoming right when you walk in with the fresh aroma of the candles. The chocolate was so crisp and creamy, although, be careful with the honeycomb it's a little hard to the touch of your teeth! i waited for 15 minutes to get a simple peppermint mocha nothing extreme. many people after me got there drinks before me and had more complex drinks. another thing to add is that the drinks were not hot they were warm. read more
