Items can be pricey, but you get what you pay for. Some of my favorites: oatmeal bread, blueberry pancake cupcakes, strawberry rolls, early riser rolls - to name a few. We also love their apple crumble pie, their pepperoni picnic bread, and their sugar cookie pie around the holidays! For me the coffee is hit or miss - sometimes it's amazing other times I don't love it ... maybe have to do with the syrups I choose to be honest. They currently have a bakery location in Ellington and an additional drive thru location down the road in Ellington, a location in Stafford, and will be opening in Hartford in 2026. You can also find them at the outdoor Ellington farmers markets on Saturdays. Highly recommend checking them out. Their staff are all beyond pleasant as well. It's a good bakery, stuff is always fresh and the flavors in each of their cupcakes, muffins, breads, and other misc bakery items is present and forward. They know that they are good, and charge accordingly. Given that there's no direct competition in a 10 mile radius (and I would argue even past that 10 mile radius the pickings are slim) the price is justifiable for the quality you get. As someone who treks a lot around the state, I find that there are many bakeries that do similar if not better items for comparable if not lower prices. But to ask someone to drive 30-60 minutes just to get something a couple bucks cheaper that's tastes about the same? It's a hard sale. I will say that Luanne's is the best in that area of the state, not including the small boutique places that are well off the beaten path. I still come here for the view and ambiance, but I don't order much of their food.

We got thin crust and extra cheese on both. The crust was lovely -- nicely thin and crispy with just enough heft to support the generous toppings, and enough bready goodness so it wasn't like eating a cracker. The toppings were all fresh, cut in perfect bite sizes, and not over-cooked. Cooley's Kitchen is a cute little place with friendly service. There were about 6-7 cozy booths for eating in. BYOB. Highly recommended!

A quick search on Yelp brought us to this wonderful gem. Family owned and run by an experienced chef, the smells are amazing. Greeted by his daughters who handled the rest of the table service. Look at my picture! The pizza was amazing. Able to handle all the toppings and absolutely one of the best pizza's I have had in a very long time. I ate it for the next three meals. This place will be one of our regular stops when we come and visit or passing through

Where do I start?! One thing I love about J Rego's is the quality of their menu; meals are always unique and truly make J Rego's stand FAR apart from other food spots in this part of CT. Yes, they offer the very best of your favorite restaurant classics, but they also add high-end, high-quality options that you cannot find anywhere else in the area. They do weekly specials (check their Instagram or call!) that always blow my mind. I literally stalk their social media each week waiting for their new options! Having J Rego's so close to home is a hazard for my self control!! And the Espresso Martinis?! Don't get me started! Delicious, high-class, and absolutely addicting. One VERY notable details about J Rego's: -- They have a FANTASTIC outdoor dining area. We enjoy it frequently in the summer, and they also set up a tent & space heaters for the colder months. Check their IG for live music on the weekends! Today, I sent my parents to J Rego's for a lunch date. They were BLOWN AWAY! It was definitely a home run recommendation. I got the Stuffed Chicken, it was very tasty but it was only the small butt end of a chicken breast, not a whole breast. For $26 bucks I guess I expected a whole boneless chicken breast. Not bad local diner, little pricy…read more Came here because it's one of the few breakfast spots I've yet to try. Made the trek and found a small diner at the end of a strip. It's a homey spot, lots of seating and the staff was very friendly. I opted for the Irish Benedict, so I can try their hash and their eggs. Food came quickly, I took my pics then took my bites. The eggs were poached well, hollandaise is creamy and rich, English muffins toasted and buttered, and the hash was a little gummy and mushy. Whatever they mixed with it made the texture not so great. For 18 bucks, it was mostly executed right but stumbled on the one element that increased the price point. As an eggs Benedict, it was good but pricy for what you get. For the area, it's a solid diner spot. It's good, but just a little high for the quality.

Sophie, our waitress, greeted and seated us. BTW, the joint was jumping at 9:40. Angelina's makes their own CBH, which is always a plus. So, I opted for a CBH omelet w rye toast and home fries. Chuckles had a western omelet; Manic Mike two eggs over w ham steak, potatoes, and rye; finally, my fried Crash Test Dummy Ron had a Belgian waffle, real(!) maple syrup, blueberries, and a side of sausage links (4). Food came quickly considering the crowd. Sophie kept us over caffeinated while we waited. The interested thing about the omelets is that the cook adds CBH (or western ingredients, in Chuckles' case) to the top, in addition to the inside. My omelet was excellent. My only quibble - the toast was more like warm bread than toast. Polling the crowd produced an average of 4 stars, coincidentally my rating. I am definitely a fan.

I actually left them a great review on January 1, 2025, but I will say that my last three orders have totally dissatisfied me. I'll start with a burger I ordered a few months back. It was very greasy, and the bun was soaked with juice to the point it was soggy, and the cheese wasn't just softened when put in the oven, it was pretty much liquefied, and it did a number on my stomach. The pizza slices, which I used to die for, are now extremely thin and have a completely different taste. I asked if they changed their recipe for the slices and I was told no. Recently I went there to eat in and ordered a chicken quesadilla. I also got a side salad which was ok. The quesadilla was served cut into fours. It wasn't terrible but only four of the slices had chicken in them. The fourth slice was just quesadilla. Also, to my total disappointment, they used chicken cold cuts instead of shredded chicken to fill the quesadilla with. Talk about cheaping out. I'll honestly say I probably won't visit or call Danny's again. I will end this review by saying that this has nothing to do with the staff. They get 5 stars.
