PLEASE heed my warning. This is not the first time this location has bombed, but for me, I'm making it the last. The food is always good. No hate on the brand. This location is awful. There were three people working there, but they only had one poor girl working both the lobby AND the drive thru, a girl who was consistently on her phone. They had about five different donuts on display; the shelves were bare and dirty. The lobby in general was dirty, as well. There was a sink right behind the cash register that was running for the full twenty minutes we were in there (just water gushing unattended into an empty sink). For the assorted dozen we ordered on the mobile app, they had TWO. It was practically an original dozen glazed, when we had even paid extra for donuts that the mobile app said they had. The location is in a busy area though not the busiest in town. I came in from the pouring rain to claim a free dozen glazed after convincing family members to drive over here (since I'll never finish a dozen all by myself living alone). At 8:53pm this evening was the worst, the girl on the intercom I could barely hear, when I got to the window, no greeting of any kind, took my money and never said a thank you, nothing, just closed the window. I was too late for hot donuts, but was early enough to go inside to look at the donuts I was picking, except the door was locked an hour before the signs said they closed the dining room. Signs were consistent between both entry doors ( I tried both) and even a sign on the drive through window. I questioned the worker at the order box and she said yes they were open in the drive through but not the dining room. When I got to the window, I got her to lean out the window and see that the sign said they should still be open. Whenever you might want a donut like on a Sat night they are mostly out of donuts. They close at 11pm and most trays were empty in front and they were cleaning up for the night at 8pm. The hot and now is ever on in the evening at the Clemmons location and they mostly are out of my favs. KK used to be booming on Sat nights but not anymore because they just don't have the donuts available in the evening. It's been a while since I updated my review. We love Krispy Kreme donuts but continue to dislike this location. We earned rewards and the right to pick a dozen donuts from the menu. We picked out the donuts today and went to redeem the code from our rewards only to be denied. Reward says pick any dozen donuts. The website says pick any dozen donuts. Worker said you can't use the reward for the dozen you picked. We paid $15 and went to car. 4 of the donuts were wrong - went back in and they realized we were right and gave us the 4 wrong donuts. Came home and checked the website - even went as far as calling the other location in Stratford to verify our reward. Fact - Stratford said you can pick any dozen donuts. This location won't even pick up there phone. My problem with this location predates the pandemic. The location is dirty and disorganized- they are often out of specific donuts. Previously they wouldn't sell donuts out of display because they didn't want to make more or have to work on the display throughout the day. I get it - times are tough - workers are hard to come by and business is down. We continued to support - earned the reward - and simply wanted to redeem it. We followed rules - have earned and used this reward before and are not new to this business. Couldn't be handled in store - didn't get mad - simply paid and left. This specific location is constantly running out of donuts on the regular. If you are 'out of a certain kind of Donut' regularly, you should probably not be in business if you can't keep up with the demand. I have buying these donuts for probably at least 30 years. They continue to decrease in quality. I just stopped at the Clemmons location to get a half dozen of creme filled. They barely have any creme at all. Used to be you had to keep a plate nearby to catch the drips. At $1.50 per donut, this is completely unacceptable. I am done with this brand. I gave up Dunkin years ago and now KK is off my list. We went inside to order our take out order. There was nothing left on the shelf. I overheard them tell someone they had chocolate custard filled left in the back. We ordered a dozen of those, then had to wait on our dozen glazed. This Krispy Kreme is located where Suntrust Bank was previously at. So I'm surprised that people are griping about the parking lot and drive thru. Unless you had never ever been to this location before when it was the bank. It's located close to the road so it's not like they could extend the parking lot back anymore. We were driving back to our hotel from the Christmas Light Show near by and I saw a KK which immediately caught my attention. We don't have any KK's nearby where I live so I got super excited and thought why not get some delicious gourmet donuts! From the exterior you can definitely tell this is a new location and when you step inside it feels very modern as well. The bathroom was kinda messy and there was no soap which was disappointing. In terms of the service, the staff was very slow and we had to wait for maybe around 30 mins to get our 3 donuts, strawberry chiller and coffee.
