This place is great! The staff is so kind, helpful and friendly. We went here after a doctor's appointment because my father, who is elderly, loves their donuts. I love their coffee. My father was having a time of it after going to an eye appointment. The staff helped him in so many ways. They took their time with him which meant a lot to us. I wanted to thank them for their kindness, assistance and showing humanity (which seems to be lacking in today's world). One star b/c I couldn't give no stars. What a terrible disappointment. Not only is the establishment dirty floors slippery and grimy but they have changed their donuts. We come here yearly on vacation and my 10 year old son looks forward to a jelly filled donut. Krispy cream no longer puts jelly in the jelly filled donut. The jelly spot in our donuts( unfortunately we bought a dozen) was the size of a dime. I kid you not. I took a picture so you would understand. It's always outstanding and tonight I decided to finally get on here and leave a review because the manager who's name I wish I got but she was so sweet after my debit card kept giving me trouble as my chip hasn't been working and it decided it just wasn't going to work at all here and she gave me my half a dozen for free!! We hardly ever get donuts but today I made a trip for a dozen. My little girl got 2 cake donuts and she loved them. My boys and I got 2 Boston cream each and there was like barely any cream in them at all. My wife said to be glad we got any cream in them because she got two lemon filled which had absolutely NO lemon filling. Yeah, lemon filled donuts with zero lemon. They were still good but dang. They are...Krispy Kreme doughnuts. If you've not had these, here's the drill: Krispy Kreme doughnuts were meant to be eaten hot, freshly glazed and right out of the fryer. To this end, there is a neon sign in the window that proclaims "Hot Doughnuts Now" when they are coming off the conveyor. They are a soft, melt-in-your mouth affair, and are surprisingly fattening at 200 calories a pop. Like that's ever stopped me! This location isn't in the greatest part of Daytona, but it's always busy and I have never felt uncomfortable stopping in for a few hot glazed and a coffee. Behind a glass window you can check out the "doughnut theatre" (their term, actually), a Rube Goldberg contraption of conveyor belts, fryers and glaze sprayers that cranks out their doughnuts by the dozen. Traveling from NJ where Krispy Kreme is a rare find, my family and I were so very excited to see the hot light on and stopped at this location. There was a wait, which was to be expected, however the male staff member was dragging his feet and not listening to the customers orders. One patron asked for an additional 1/2 dozen donuts and he acted as if the customer was speaking another language. Another customer asked for 2 dozen donuts and he said back, so you want 24 donuts? As if he didn't understand what a dozen meant. The next customer wanted a dozen donuts split in two boxes. He came back with them in one box and acted as if it pained him to put them in 2 separate boxes. His attitude and customer service skills were horrible! We were ready to walk out because his simple-mindedness was causing an unnecessary wait! We stay because we wanted the donuts which were great. The line stretched out the door so that's always a good sign when trying out a new place. The energy and the great staff would make the donut gods very proud while providing we the people with donuts on such an important holiday. I waited in line for less then two minutes before ordering a original hot glazed and a strawberry shortcake donut. The donuts where super fresh and melted in your mouth. If I could, I would give this location 0 stars. My family and I typically stop at this location every time we drive home from the Daytona Beach and have for almost 10 years. After my recent experience, I will never return to this location. They have earned a rare lifetime boycott. Before turning in to the location off of International Speedway Blvd., I was concerned. This location is on a small corner lot on two busy streets. The parking lot, which is difficult on the best days, was packed. Getting into the store, it was also packed. I was prepared for the line and was patient. I had set my expectations based upon the parking lot. When it was my turn to order, the KK employee just looked at me. Seriously, there was no greeting at all - good or bad. She just stared at me for an uncomfortable amount time as I waited for a "Can I help you?". I initiated the conversation, ordering an assorted dozen. They were out of 8 of the 12 donuts I wanted. Again, my expectations were set and I adjusted. The mute finished loading my box and walked towards the registers. I followed my box. She set the box down and walked away, still without a word being said. There were two people in line ahead of me at the register. Again, I waited. The cashier checked them out, creating a gap between my box and the register. I moved forward with the queue. A different KK employee comes along and puts another person's box in line in front of mine. It's ok, I think, since I am physically in line ahead of whoever that is. After checking out all of the people in front of me, I'm next. The cashier walks away from the left register. As with the person taking my order, there were no words spoken. I wait and wait - at least 5 minutes, which is a long time at what I would consider fast food. A different cashier comes to the right register. She picks up the box of donuts that was places ahead of mine (for the person behind me). "Whose are these?", she asks, as if it's up to the customers to keep track of their own orders behind the counter. The guy behind me does say "He's in front of me", indicating that I'm next. I let him go first. I'm still next, or so I thought. Then, some random guy walks up to buy a single bottle of water, butting in front of everyone in line. It's about that time that the left cashier returns. While I'm waiting for the man with the water to check out at the right register, the left register again checks out the next person behind me. I'm stuck in the middle of two registers and can't give them my money! I'm still next, until the person on the right register realizes that the person on the left register has returned. After finishing with the guy and his water, again without a word, she just turns and walks away. After the person at left register finishes with her customer, she tries to go to the next person behind me. I say "I have to be next. Three people behind me in line have been checked out already." Next, the personal representative of all of Krispy Kreme standing in front of me says "Excuse me, sir. I will not be disrespected." I'm stunned. I say "I didn't disrespect you. Three people have been checked out ahead of me." She replies "Did I take your order? Is that my fault?" I say "No. I'm sorry if I disrespected you. Can I pay now?" She actually says "No." As she continues to read me the riot act about how she doesn't have to take it from me, when I still don't know what it was that angered her, I also realize that the first time I've been spoken to then entirely too long time I've been in the location is when this woman told me not to disrespect her after I had been passed over in line multiple times. At this point, I realize that I've been patient this entire time. I just stared, saying nothing. She kept going. At some point, she noticed that I wasn't engaging her. Maybe she was done venting. Maybe she wanted the argument I wasn't giving her. Maybe she got tired. When she stopped, and I stared at her a little longer, I just turned and walked out. She had already had the last word, but she threw in a "Bye" as I left. Bye, KK. This location is permanently banned. read more

I barely made it back to my vehicle before a Glazed was dangling from my mouth like a happy dog who was proud of his squeaky toy especially when you tried to get it from him!! It's on a corner lot and the store itself takes up most of the space while parking spots wrap around the streets edge out front. I get it,you're in/out but if the place is busy...Ohhh Lordy Have Mercy!! Ok so besides that it's KK greatness in the middle of Daytona Beach!! It's always been super clean,plenty of staff and customer service is on point. The selection is great and it's 24hrs so I might as well just end on that note! Of course I won't lol so lets get back to my experience. I dive right in for some glazed but to my satisfaction they make some pretty amazing Apple Fritters!! The only one I didn't like was the Cinnamon Bun Doughnut. It was actually quite horrible. I know a lot of you are just happy to get a box of all glazed but I need VARIETY DAMMIT! Lol...my favorite are actually the Chocolate Glazed! I only got one though because my brain was a little foggy in there while I was trying to choose my 6 pack! I only allow myself to cheat every 3 weeks now so you can bet I was ready but I didn't expect to inhale the whole box!! No judging..at least they are all gone now and that's why I did it. Nothing but healthy food and water in my house now. Do I really need to recommend KK?!
