I tried the new key lime pie donut today for national donut day. It had a bright key lime flavor that made me so happy. I love all things tart and thus was definitely nice and sweet and tart. It was filled really well which is always a hit or miss with a filled donut and they did not disappoint. I think I prefer this over the lemon filled donut for sure. So the hubby and I saw they were doing chocolate donuts for 11/6 only and we decided to go support our local location. Luckily when we arrived the Hot Now sign was on and of course a little bit of a line. I will say the chocolate donuts were worth the try but I was slightly disappointed because I couldn't get my regular glazed donuts as well! They were only doing chocolate that day. I usually stop here for coffee & seldom get doughnuts, but on this stop at the speaker in the drive-thru they had an advertisement for a smores doughnut available for a limited time, so of course I had to try it. The smores doughnut was very good, it has a marshmallow cream filling with chocolate icing on top with mini chocolate chips & graham cracker crumbs. Could be better, my first time visiting Greensboro, Nc just happened a two days ago, I was not impressed with this Krispy Kreme because I know they can't compare to the Krispy kreme Doughnuts on Ross Clark Cir, in Dothan Al, sorry, but it's the truth and anyone who thinks or says otherwise can run into a cactus. I didn't like these donuts because as soon as I got them back to the hotel room they were already cold--and the hotel was across the street from this place (almost) I wasn't a fan of the location, it was way too busy and the traffic was hectic that night, way too much traffic to be battling just to get some cheap donuts I can buy elsewhere. I'm not a fan of North Carolina--and I can certainly tell you that I won't be buying these donuts anymore. The staff was rude, the place was unclean, trash cans were overflowing, and the bathroom was dirty as well. I'm not happy at all about coming here. I regret having to pay cash for these disgusting, surgery donuts; I threw them out the next day--too bad I didn't walk back in and just throw the donuts back in their faces for making such crappy donuts. This is Krispy Kreme not Duncan Donuts, don't you workers have any respect for making donuts?
