Scrapbook Series, Part 12 The final destination included in Cathie's beloved scrapbook led us to further our donut education and the irony was not lost on me that across the many paths that we've traveled together in the last 12 months this was the first time a staff member asked us to explain the relevance of the scrapbook tucked under my arm. It was doubly ironic that after a brief explanation the staff member immediately appreciated the value of Cathie's efforts, while Cathie herself still continued to maintain that it really wasn't that big a deal. Why is it that those who invest in selfless acts of kindness are often unaware of just how rare those traits are in today's society?While I don't have the answer to that conundrum, I would be thrilled if Cathie's modeling of otherness would inspire others to think likewise. We were right in front of Dunkin' Donuts and looking for Krispy Kreme. We should've just went into Dunkin' Donuts. Krispy Kreme has lost their edge! The young employee about in her late teens early 20s was very polite and nice, but just was not with the need of serving a good product. I'm surprised to see a low overall rating for this location. I had a great experience. I stopped in for my free dozen glazed birthday donuts. I also purchased a dozen hand picked donuts. My first impression is that the store is so clean! I was really impressed with the cleanliness. My second impression came when Tyler helped put my order together. He was friendly and energetic. He patiently put up with my indecision on which donuts to get and we enjoyed some small talk. He was very professional and welcoming. I've been to this location few times now and every time service has been outstanding! Yesterday, they exceeded all of the expectations. I pulled up to the drive through to get some donuts and Jack was super patient and friendly with me! He even offered me to wait a minute for the fresh donuts to cool down, so we can get them instead of the older ones. They were SO GOOD!!! I honestly like Krispy Kreme better than small mom and pop shops and very happy to have this location close to my house. PS Jack deserves a raise! read more

THEY STOLE MY GIFT CARD! Might be the worst run business I've ever encountered. Had a brand new, unused $10 gift card. Tried to order three donuts and the employee just stared at me. Was my request for three donuts unreasonable at a donut shop? Anyway, ordered again, and it took her a few seconds for my request to register before she boxed my order. Upon getting to the register, she rang up my order, which totaled $7.07. I gave the girl my $10 gift card; which brought a look of panic to her face. After swiping the card TWICE, she told me the balance of the gift card. I said, "I know my balance. I just want to buy these donuts." This strange request was met with another confused look (he wants to use his gift card to buy donuts?). This was too much for the first employee, so she called over another one. When I told employee number two that all I wanted to do was pay for my donuts with the gift card, she too seemed to be confused, so she had to get a a manger. (by the way, this is all taking place as I'm slowly becoming late for work) After a few minutes, the manager finally exited his nap, I mean office, and came to the register. When I explained, AGAIN, he ran my card a third time and told me I didn't have enough money on the card as I only had $2.97 left. I informed him the first employee ran my card, but the manager told me he deleted the transaction. I mentioned AGAIN that she had swiped it twice. I asked him politely to do the math (my donuts cost $7.07. I have them a ten dollar gift card. Now I have a balance of $2.97) This logic was too much for him and he said I needed to pay!!! I walked out so I could get to work on time without my donuts or gift card! P.S. From the moment you walk in, you're greeted by the comforting scent of freshly baked donuts and a warm, friendly atmosphere. The staff is so incredibly friendly and so kind! Claire really went out of her way to make my sons first time there special My absolute favorite go to doughnuts are the light, fluffy and flavorful classic glazed donut, with its slightly crispy exterior and soft interior reminds me of Sundays when my grandpa would bring them home to us after church. 10/27/2023. By far the rudest, unhappy and disrespectful person at the drive thru window. Had one simple question in regards to adding the scooby doo donuts with assortment and got an awkward silence. Furthermore, at the drive thru window she handed the donuts and slammed the window when I asked her for half n half. Then she tells me she can't give me half n half again. My first visit to Krispy Kreme Menifee (actually my husband's). I must say I was disappointed in the glazed doughnuts as they tasted like they had been prepared maybe yesterday morning. They were doughy, cold and not light and fluffy like I've had in the past from other Krispy Kreme shops. That special taste and flavor was missing. I also purchased 3 of their Red Velvet doughnuts, and unfortunately they were very dry with some kind of icing (not cream cheese) on top. I'm hoping this was just maybe an off day or something. So I get an email about brand new Reese's Krispy Kreme donuts. Im psyched. I love Reese's. So I go to Krispy Kreme at about 9:15 AM on a Monday to get a dozen at least. They ask can I help you. I noticed a big sign above advertising these amazing looking Reese's donuts. And yet, I did not see any in the display case. I asked for the Reese's donuts to which I was told they don't have any! I asked how can this be? And the guy asked another guy who may or may not be the manager and he said we may have some around 3:00 PM! I said why aren't any ready now? Went through the drive through today and I've never gotten cold donuts from here, they have always been fresh and warm. After opening and trying only one donut I went back in to the store to ask if I can get warm ones I even said don't worry about the one I ate I'm not asking for free food just replace my cold donuts for warm ones please and a worker said we only have mini donuts that are warm so I said that's fine I'll even take mini ones I just want warm donuts not ice cold one. The worker then goes to get her manager, the manager with red hair came up to me and said the mini ones aren't warm either sorry. This location is definitely hit and miss, in terms of the experience/service. I dropped by during the rain because my daughter wanted some sweets. I figured, why not, might as well get my free birthday half-dozen. I went in and was pleasantly greeted. I showed the employee my birthday reward on my app, and ordered 3 other different donuts. When I went to pay, the young man was very professional, but had to get his manager because my barcode wasn't working. Had a craving for these heavenly doughnuts late Sunday night after work and to my surprise I ended up winning the lotto with customer service and quality of doughnuts! I ordered an assorted dozen through the drive through, and it was either Jacob or Reilly who had the friendliest voice and exceptional manners. Really made me feel valued and welcomed as a customer when I can only imagine how long and hard of a day they must have had. I still received the same level of positive energy and effort as if I was the first customer through the door. After leaving the drive through I went to inhale one of the classic original glazed but noticed I received a chocolate glazed instead of the strawberry glazed I had ordered. Went back through the drive through and was graciously helped by the supervisor (Janelle) who went above and beyond to make it right. Was only expecting to get the correct doughnut, but since they were unfortunately all out, I received three doughnuts and a voucher to come back to make up for the very minor mistake! I couldn't believe the level of generosity and kindness I received from Janelle, Reilly, and Jacob. These three made my night! Bonus is that all of the doughnuts I received were just as fresh, soft, and melt in your mouth as if the store had just opened! Love that the quality of the doughnuts AND service is never lacking here. Went in today for my free birthday donutts and coffee. It was so loud in there that the cashier was not able to hear me and I had to repeat myself three times to tell her my order. I couldn't even see her. She was behind a tall countertop. When I finally got my order through I asked for whipped cream on my coffee, I repeated myself three times she asked me if I wanted whipped cream, and I said yes and still didn't get any whipped cream. The coffee was not palatable, and my donuts have left the sour taste in my mouth, and my stomach has been upset ever since, this was the first time I had a Krispy Kreme doughnut, and it's going to be the last. The donut had no substance as soon as I picked it up out of the box.
