A huge difference with these donuts are they are described as "Sweet Layered Donuts" and remind me of a "Kronut" which is basically a croissant dough made into a donut type creation. Flavors are abundant and creative like French Toast, Bourbon Caramel, Raspberry Pistachio and Peanut Butter Cup. Despite the nice environment and delicious donuts, I found them to be quite expensive so as a daily donut and bagel aficionado, Parlor would not be a regular stop. Also, there are no cake or more traditional donuts-only the spectacular ones! They are usually eaten with a knife and fork. The plastic utensils provided are not robust enough to use on these. I was surprised how large this donut chain is. There are several in my home state of Michigan and I believe they are currently in sixteen states with nearly a hundred locations nationally. My concern is that someone trying County Donuts may believe they've visited Country Donuts and avoid the real one based on this experience--which would be unfortunate. Located right across from the Costco, this is a great addition to the new business within the strip mall. For their grand opening, they were offering free chocolate chip cookies to the first 1000 guests. This may have been one of the best chocolate chip cookies I've tried! It was served warm, had large chocolate chips, and you could taste the browned butter. It was a great size to share or fully indulge. Their menu has weekly featured cookie flavors (new flavors announced on Fridays) as well as a full dirty soda menu. Staff was energetic and happy to join the community. Sometimes I even buy two boxes--one to eat on the way home and another to share with my wife when I get there. They have delicious, fresh donuts every day, and I especially love the donut holes they sell on Fridays. I also love that they carry Ideal Bakery's kolaczki and some of their other products. They offer fresh bread that they can slice for you when you order, or you can take it home unsliced. The staff is extremely friendly and patient while taking your order, and they never make you feel rushed, even when there's a line of customers. I ordered a cake and a dessert table from them for a party, and they did an amazing job. Salma was incredibly helpful throughout the process, offering recommendations and assisting us with our order. The donuts were fresh and moist and plump and the icing and glazes were thick and evenly distributed over the dough. No wild gimmicks- just smiles from behind the counter and donuts that don't look like they're about to die. The only critique I have is that the flavors are a little more distinct. However I don't like my donuts with a bunch of stuff on top to produce a flavor either ...... so yeah- I will definitely be going back
