5 stars for the perfect chocolate chip cookie! Love branching out esp when it comes to searching for chocolate chip Cookies. Baked like I bake them at home. Soft inside, slight crunch on outside. Way better than crumbles chocolate chip cookie in my mind any day!
Yea the pastries are so delicate and Delicious it gets very crowded because the ambiance is so friendly that the Korean community come here to share a shaved ice cream which is out of this world and to have coffee with friends Service on the little on the reserved side since they don't smile Too much i guess I had an amazing time And of course purchases tons of pastry's why not when you can go to the gym and workout out
My husband and I visited Handsome Bakery and Cafe with a friend on a Saturday afternoon. Handsome Bakery and Cafe is in an unassuming spot at the end of a strip mall and if you're not looking for it, you might miss it. One could describe this bakery as handsome. Everything inside the cafe is clean and organized. The food offerings are laid out neatly and the cashiers are nice and pleasant. I got a chocolate chip cookie. It was yummy and had enough chocolate for my taste. I highly recommend Handsome Bakery and Cafe!
07/07/24 - We went here after Yu's to grab a dessert but found the selection lacking as it was around 5:30pm. We left wo/getting anything.
This bakery has become a favorite spot to enjoy with friends and now I've finally introduced it to my parents too! This is the kind of bakery where you grab a tray and then pick the pastries you want and bring them up to the cashier. So far I've had the Affogato...it might be a little different than you expect. Picture a scoop of creamy vanilla ice cream with hot fresh espresso poured over the top! Must try! Recently had the cafe Mocha with oat milk (Yes! Ask for your milk alternatives if needed!) and would order that one again! If you're in the mood for something cool and refreshing, I recommend you try one of the Bingsoo (shaved ice). It's a pretty big size and probably best shared. :) Tip: come earlier in the day for the best selection of pastries, but their coffee is available all day and really high quality. Might see ya there next time!
Went to Schaumburg to eat brunch and was craving for bingsoo, a summer dessert I haven't had all summer(!), so decided to use my Yelp and find a place! Of course several have popped up, but after calling a few places for dine in, only Handsome Bakery and Cafe had dine in option. Walking in, pretty promising. Lots of Korean bakery and cakes at a reasonable price. With much anticipation, we ordered 2 bing soos. Not popular opinion but I love the red bean so we got one red bean and one mango. Unfortunately, both were terrible. The mango was not fresh nor ripe but to cover up the taste, it was filled with sugar and syrup. Didn't make it any better. The red bean didn't have typical bingsoo red bean flavor and was a little undercooked. The photos look amazing, but unfortunately the taste didn't qualify. The space was really cute to hang out!
Very cute location. I ordered the strawberry peach bubble tea and it was delicious. It automatically came with the tapioca (I didn't have to ask for it to be added). Unfortunately they did say they currently don't have the cloud latte because their cotton candy machine is broken. Hope it gets fixed soon because that drink looks so cool! The inside area is spacious and bright, perfect for studying / working as well.
The coffee was not the greatest and over priced. The baked bread I purchased was soft and sweet. I was hoping the ambience would be more cozy but it wasn't. The service was dry.
I wanted some pastries for my last cheat meal of the week hehehe found out this shop have bingsoo I have the urge to try it since the picture of the bingsoo looks appealing there were different types of bingsoo but I decided to try out mango I was happy I made the right choice the dessert is simple and good it's just shaved ice topped with chopped mango, thick sweet syrup and a scooped of vanilla ice cream. I appreciated they served it on a metal bowl to keep the dessert chill/cold. The portion is right enough to share with other I can't wait to try it again in the summer and venture out the other flavors they have
Lovely Korean/French bakery near the corner of Golf and Roselle roads. Great selection of baked goods all individually wrapped. Each item has a label with the ingredients listed. "Ok, but first coffee" is written above the kitchen door. This advertises their large coffee and tea menu. Also serving boba and smoothies. Don't forget to try their Bingsoo! These frozen desserts are big enough to share with two or more people. Think Hawaiian shaved ice with ice cream, syrup, and fruit on top. Delicious! Employees are kind and helpful when trying to decide what to buy or try. Plenty of tables and chairs/booths in the dining area. Two areas: one near the front windows; another along the side wall. The music is loud enough to be heard, but not obnoxious that you can't talk to each other while lingering over your goodies. Come for the interesting looking Cloud Latte. Stay for the Bingsoo.
This place has my name written all over it. Just kidding, but with a name like Handsome Bakery, how can you not want to try it? Handsome Bakery is a Korean bakery that has the usual format and layout of what you would expect from a Korean bakery. Grab a plastic lunch tray, a set of tongs, and peruse the many delicious variations of baked goods. Once you are have decided on what you get, take your tray to the front counter and pay. Handsome Bakery also has teas and coffees as well. They have some great options if you like red bean, and if not, they have other things as well. I went with the blueberry cake which was absolutely amazing. There's plenty of seats and tables so feel free to sit down, relax, and enjoy a nice day sipping on a beverage and pastry. The workers here were super nice and helpful. I like it here also because the place isn't as busy as say, a Starbucks so it's a lot quieter and they don't blare music like one. Definitely give Handsome if you want a different choice from a Starbucks. You handsome devil, you!
I really love the iced coffee drinks here especially my favorite which is the iced cloud latte with cotton candy atop your drink. There is an assortment of sweet cream breads here and even whole birthday cakes I like the very laid back vibes and it's definitely spread apart so inside dining is formally back. You must wear a mask to step inside and place your order; but once you are seated you may eat and drink without your mask on. Some sandwich items are no longer available for purchase and it's now plastic cups only rather than glasses for your drinks. The staff is incredibly friendly and everything here has been deep cleaned with tables far apart from eachother for the new social distance rules. You can even order a bingsoo and coffee afigato with vanilla ice cream and expresso. This is my favorite coffee shop in Schaumburg and you will find it peaceful with many drink options.
Oh Handsome Bakery you have got me on cloud 9...especially when it comes to that amazing Cloud Latte. It is something you will not experience anywhere else except Handsome Bakery & Cafe. I've been to this bakery at different times during the day. If I do visit this bakery, I prefer going in the morning for the fact that there is a better arrangement of pastries available whereas in the afternoon and evening there is less to choose from. The Cloud Latte is a latte with a fresh cotton candy placed on top of the cup giving the appearance of a white fluffy cloud sitting atop your drink. Their affogato is also good, I have had the green tea affogato cloud, and that was an experience like no other. This cafe also offers bubble tea, they have a variety of flavors which is nice. The bubble tea tastes fresh and does not taste artificial - which is a bonus since I have experienced bubble tea tasting slightly too artificial before. The staff at this bakery/cafe is always friendly and smiling each time I go in and the place is always clean which is nice. My favorite part overall is that the pastries are not overly sweet, do not get me wrong - sweet can be good until it is too overpowering. If you are looking for something different in the suburbs, I highly suggest checking Handsome bakery out for some sweet treats and a cloud latte.

Pretty good for a Korean Bakery... The service was fine. Nothing memorable, really, but it means they weren't rude either. I ordered the red bean bingsoo. Came with a whole scoop of ice cream on top and chocolate syrup and crunchy toppings. Just really delicious. Very Korean vibe. Could be all the Korean workers and customers. #duh There was a table who left a big ole mess and one of the owners (I'm assuming) chased them down and had them come in to pick up after themselves. I respect it. I mean. What is wrong with people, right? Lot for parking. read more

We love the baked goods and drinks here. We are always greeted cheerfully the minute we walk in. Today we selected the mocha pound cake, bread with cream filling and a huge almond croissant. Everything is delicious and we enjoy the quiet ambience of this bakery as most others on the weekend are too busy, rushed and cramped. If you're looking for a peaceful place with a lot of room to sit with friends or alone that has good food and drinks then this is the place! read more

I went at a less busy time and picked up a red bean & cream pastry. My experience was better than my first time here. The pastry was delicious. It was pretty heavy, so I couldn't eat it in one go. I still prefer Tous les Jours, but Handsome is a decent alternative. read more

Yummy, another delicious Korean Bakery like Tous Les Jours with tons of fresh and healthy options with Asian and Western influences. Like TLJ, the interior is well-lit and attractive, service is friendly and fast, prices are fair for the quality of food, and the food options are presented in an attractive manner. - My favorite item I tried was the strawberry soboro. The fresh strawberries are surrounded by a pillow of fluffy, rich -- but not too sweet cream and enclosed in a buttery triangle of pastry. - The chocolate shell pastry was light, not as strong in chocolate flavor as western style pastries -- but rather a light drizzling over shell of pastry layers. - The almond croissant was a delight - filled with aromatic almond paste and a croissant that was light, buttery, and slightly crunchy. This was topped with delicious sliced almonds to provide a combination of several different textures in a single bite. - The almond tuile cookies are super crisp, with a great almond flavor. They are delicate both in flavor and touch, but bold in flavor. - The chocolate classic is like a big brownie, but with a delicate amount of sweetness. It's very soft and fluffy, with a good deep rich chocolate flavor. - The snowflake bread is similar to Chinese Milk bread, very soft in the dough with delicious milky cream and a light touch of jam with delicious flavor and great aroma. - The cakes are similar to what you'd get in Chiu Quon on Chinatown. Very milky cream that's super light and fluffy, light spongy layers of cake that are moist, and nice fresh fruit. - The bingsoo is a pleasant mix of condensed milk, shaved snow, red beans, green tea ice cream, and syrup. It surprised me in the amount of ingredients and toppings provided (sometimes these are mostly made of ice) and that they took the extra time to provide snow rather than crushed ice (which doesn't support milk or syrup well so everything falls to the bottom). Overall, solid choice for delicious Korean bakery food and a good change of pace from other local choices. A bit less sweet than most other local Asian bakeries and a bit cheaper overall than other premium bakeries. If deciding between here and Tous Les Jours, I'd go to TLJ for pastries but Handsome for bread options. read more

The best bingsoo I've ever had. The ice made with milk? is super flakey and soft. They give generous mango and the price is so reasonable. Don't forget to add the mochi. read more
Handsome Bakery is the new Korean bakery in Schaumburg! I say new...but really it's been open almost a year now! I've gone a couple of times and have always been happy with the super clean & cute shop, well labeled & priced items, and decent selection. Now as it's a Korean bakery, it's not chocolate heavy at all. Expect green tea, red bean, cream filled pastries - all of which I love oh~so~much! They have awesome hot dog and sausage breads! They are so tasty and random. I like some meat with my bread, so they are right up my alley and what I like most at Handsome. I will always get one of those when I pop in. Also love their red bean filled buns and when they are so nicely packaged individually, it makes for some good little gifts for people. I haven't done their Patbingsu yet, but they have several options that all sound good. And those cloud drinks are so cool! Try it! Instagram the heck out of it! Prices are reasonable, everything is delicious and I'll keep coming back to Handsome Bakery! read more
This little bakery is actually not very little. It's also not huge, but a perfect size to come in, grab your stuff, sit or leave. They specialize in Korean baked goods and coffee. They do have some American stuff for you non adventurous folk. You come in, grab a tray and tongs, then grab whatever baked goods you want to eat. Go to checkout and order a drink if you'd like. Interesting concept, I can't say I like it just yet (the concept). Not a fan of the general public fondling my food. A lot of the baked goods were packaged, so that's what had time relived to try it out. I had a chocolate croissant and a hazelnut latte. She warmed up my croissant in the back. I can only imagine how it may get when it's busy. They seem to have a system. The coffee was great, wasn't too sweet and complimented my bakery item perfectly. Everything is "Made in Schaumburg" as they stress in their windows, and it tasted great. Next time I come back in, I'm going to try a Korean pastry. THANK GOODNESS they DO NOT play K pop! read more

This place is such a great cafe! It's got a sweet bakery that has a variety of baked goodies or cakes to choose from. Their drinks also range from milk tea, boba tea, coffee, and espresso drinks. It's a perfect spot to come and do work or catch up with friends. I wish I was able to stay longer and try their bingsoo because it looks delicious, but next time I'll be back to do so! read more
I'm not much of a pastry fan but this place is unbelievable . Not overly sugary foods. Everything I had was fantastic. The chocolate croissant was okay. Everything here is fresh a wonderful balance. I do miss Swedish bakery . But this Korean bakery is crazy good. Came in at 4:30 and they had a great selection . I had strawberry soboro was excellent Nutella pastry was ok. France Croque monsieur delicious Mozzarella heavy cream,ham , cheese butter and mayo Snow flake bread soft delicious rolls of love strawberry jam, butter bread very light buttercream that tasted like whip cream Curry croquette nice balance of curry inside of a wonderful doughnut like pastry They have really interesting pastries . Highly recommend this delightful bakery. Brought some goodness to go. Kinda want to hang around and try everything here. Sigh . read more

I came here with a friend since he'd said he really liked hanging out there. I only ordered a hot coffee and he ordered a Cloud Latte, which came with cotton candy on the cup! It was *such* a cute and creative concept. The bakery had a large variety of sweet treats up for display at the store. It was also spacious and very lively; I could tell it was a popular place! The service was very kind and prompt. One thing I wish this place offered were different drink sizes, but other than that I enjoyed my time there and hope to stop by again to try some sweets. Good place to relax, catch up with friends, and do some light work. I came on a Sunday afternoon and stayed for a few hours. There would be waves when there would be a ton of people sitting/ordering to go and when it would be nice and quiet. I shared a mango bingsoo with 2 other people and it was plenty for us. The mango was sweet and was balanced well by the ice (the kind made with milk). I also ordered a vanilla affogato, but asked for only one shot of espresso. My friend ordered the green tea affogato, which was slightly sweeter than the vanilla kind. Even though it faces some competition with CoffeeHaus only being a block away, I think this coffee shop and bakery is here to stay. My mother in law brought me sweet breads from this bakery and a plastic piece came out from cream cheese muffin. Muffin itself it tasted really good but plastic piece really disappointed me. Hope the store pay more attention and don't make this kind of mistake when baking. read more
We came here after our dinner at Yu's which was right next door. I had the honey lemon tea and a roll cake. I love Korean bakeries because they always have some of the best pastries and bread. Everything was really delicious, 1 less star was given because it was only 8P on a Sunday night and they were out of blueberry tea and some of the pastries. This also shows how popular this place can be though. I would honestly rate it a 4.5. Great cafe vibe and comfortable atmosphere. read more
