I got in the drive-through this morning only to be told that they were out of just about every single kind of donut. I get that they're busy. I get that. I'm not upset that they were out of donuts. Whenever we visit Washington we make at least one visit to Krispy Kreme as we are not privileged with a location on the island we live on. Unfortunately, due to COVID this location appeared to still have it's dining room closed so we elected to order via the drive-thru. To save time we used the Krispy Kreme website to choose our selection. We ordered (2) two "Glazed with Kreme Filling" donuts among other items and was never informed by the female order taker that that flavor was unavailable at this location. We proceeded to the window to receive our donuts. We opened the box to verify our order (see attached) and noticed that all of the items was correct except the two mentioned above. We enquired with the gentleman at the window as to the error. First he intimated that they were the same item and that there was Kreme filling within the donut (Our purpose for ordering what we did!). Then he said that this location did not serve the "Glazed with Kreme Filling" and that each franchise could pick and choose what to serve. As we drove away my wife broke apart one of the supposedly "same" item and discovered that there was no Kreme filling! This location needs to train their staff better! Went in this morning ordered in drive-thru dozen doughnuts assorted no cake doughnuts please. Got a response of what? Replied to speaker no cake donuts please. Got an okay back thru speaker. Lobby is always closed. People who drive larger vehicles cannot use the drive through. There is no reason for the lobby to be closed.

This location is much larger than the one that I frequent in Sacramento. I went inside instead of through the drive thru. This location was clean and orderly. There were quite a few tables to sit. I just left this location disappointment is an understatement to advertise special. They were out of all of it raspberry filled lemon filled. This is the second Friday morning in a month (both in the fall) that they have been out of apple fritters and the pumpkin spice donuts. They advertise Fritter Fridays, buy a box of 4! but you can't even get one. I commented that it seems like they should have the seasonal donuts (pumpkin spice) in stock and he said "We hardly ever make those." i have only been to this location once. i was nearby, and on a whim decided to pick up some donuts for my husband's office. i drove up and was happy to see that the drive thru line was moving super quickly (maybe 3 cars ahead of me and i made it to the window in less than 5 minutes). once there, the employee was very friendly and helpful, and she got my order out to me stat! i'll definitely be returning if i want some krispy kremes -- one of the most painless and pleasant drive thru experiences i can remember. read more

Great customer service, no waits in line and delicious never fresh donuts. I been inside once, the inside is small but clean. I usually take the drive through, but just like the inside, there is never a wait even though the lines are long. I usually go to original house of donuts in Lakewood, but sometimes Krispy Kreme hits the spot. Very rude customer service. We were in line waiting for our turn; a lady came in and went straight to the counter; Kelly, the employee, went and served her first. We still waited patiently and didn't say anything until it was our turn; we came up to the counter and politely told Kelly we were in line first, (just for her to know she need to serve whoever first in line). Krispy Cream is not a good donut. The dough tastes cheap and the glaze is concentrated sweetness, which doesn't mix well with the low amount of dough in the donut. I've never experienced a hot or fresh donut here regardless of if the light is on or not. Location is also not great if you don't live close by. Exiting I-5 soley for Krispy Cream isn't worth it. I know the mess of the highway isn't their fault, but if that place had better donuts, more people would be willing to deal with the mess. read more

I was out roadtripping around one weekend, making a day of it. Usually I get my doughnuts in the morning but for some reason in the evening I was craving a doughnut. Unfortunately all of my usual "go to" places were long since closed for the day. I remembered then that Krispy Kreme had a location over by the Tacoma Mall and it was in the back of my mind at various points to give them a try. I have only had Krispy Kreme at other stores where they carried them. At one point I was all about these doughnuts but moved on. I was then told that Krispy Kreme doughnuts were better by going to an actual Krispy Kreme location and that totally made sense so I finally gave it a try. Even in the evening there was a line to get in here and since it was in the evening a lot of their doughnut options were gone and there certainly wasn't going to be any more freshly baked doughnuts until tomorrow morning. I settled on a type of doughnut I don't usually get, a jelly filled kind. I got the Powdered Strawberry Filled doughnut which actually proved to be very enjoyable for me and was much fresher than the Krispy Kreme doughnuts you get at stores that just carry the brand. I have realized in several instances that if you want the best version of a product like Krispy Kreme, Pizza Hutt and various other brands and products that distribute out to other stores and businesses you definitely aren't getting the best version unless you go to an actual location instead of a vendor version. read more
