It's Sunday morning at 11:27 A.M. I am setting in the Target parking lot across from the KK. I just went through the drive-through and asked for 4 donuts. 2 were not available, at 11:15 in the morning on a Sunday. I don't know about anyone else, but I'd probably be willing to bet that this would be one of their most profitable days of the week. If I would have looked at the reviews below, I would've seen this to be a normal problem. It's apparent the management doesn't allocate its resources very efficiently. As a donut shop, I could give a quick demographic business lesson on the supply curve of donuts throughout the week hitting full stride Friday-Sun. I've been here a couple times and it's never been great but today was just bad. I ordered two doughnuts, two different people asked me my order and still... I get home and they're wrong. Their selection, on a Sunday morning, was also limited. I asked for a large iced coffee and the cashier just says "No." After saying uh... Please. Stopped by to get the double dozen special they have. The deal is you get one dozen of all glazed donuts and another dozen you chose whichever kind you like. Not sure if it's the day we came or if this location makes them like that, but the glazed donuts were super thin and had a huge donut hole. Doesn't even look like a proper donut. Also, the donuts didn't taste too fresh either. We ate them right away and it seemed dry. After a day, the donuts were even more dry. We went to the location in Lone Tree and the donuts were fine, maybe it's just a bad day at the Thornton location. Who knows. read more

I find it funny that this a 24/7 facility and anytime you go in they are always out of the most popular items and can never keep them stocked especially their famous glazed donuts. Then when you ask how long it will take to restock them it's always hours as if it's hard to take the glazed doughnuts and dip them in chocolate or maple and throw some sprinkles on them like they do in the first place. Although the place is sort of cool in that you can see the donuts being made, when we showed up they were out of most kinds of donuts, napkins, soap, and most of the cup sizes. In general, the only thing worth coming for is the pile of donuts falling fresh off the line. Everything else seems mismanaged and not that good. Kind of sad to see a place just relying on the name. We drive 30 miles to visit this Thornton, CO Krispy Kreme and spend a few moments with the loveliest staff imaginable. To buy the world's best doughnuts, too, of course... but if the staff were not so awesome we would not be driving so far for something we're not supposed to be eating. Service was horrible. I was in line inside for 25 minutes and the line never moved. The drive-thru line was moving so I decided to go through the drive through. Came here this morning around 6 because we really were craving something sweet, and back home (in Oklahoma) we would always come to Krispy Kreme for the warm, fresh, glazed donuts. Was very disappointed to find out they were completely out of glazed donuts when we got there, only an hour after they opened. The donut holes are burned and crisp. I have food allergies and I asked an employee for an ingredient list for the Strawberry Iced Donuts. He searched very briefly and told me that none of the employees knew where to locate it. Therefore, I couldn't order what I really wanted. I feel like there is definitely a way to retrieve that information, the 5 employees standing around in the kitchen didn't want to put the effort into finding it. Then, my fiance and I ordered, and the employee putting our donuts in the box had a fresh tattoo on his inner wrist that looked infected. He made no attempt to cover it, so this is making me think about the cleanliness of our order. My friend and I used the drive-thru option. Our host/server was Alyssa. She was very rude and rushed us. We tried to ask questions about available options and she stopped talking for about 30 seconds, and left us sitting there. We asked two questions. Such a sad day! 4 of our 6 doughnuts were TOTALLY hard and STALE. The Sugar ones were the absolute worst completely hard. Coffee was also really really bad! The customer service was great so this is clearly a company policy flaw serving more than day old doughnuts. We spent $14 and feel every penny was waisted. Just got back from buying 2 dozen's of a variety. They ran out of the pumpkin cheescake which sounded good. WOW! It's really changed and the donuts I got especially your basic glazed ones looked like they were dehydrated and more like Astronaut food! Oh MY GOD, what happen to the fluffy airy ones they use to sell!! I hope it's just this place and not every where else. We use to joke in the military that you could leave these donuts out for days and it still taste Delicious because it's made of all that lard and butter..MMM..mm...mmmmm that's the right way to make donuts. A of Fat, cholesterol and a heart attack away..LOL.. Well atleast these are cheaper than Lamar's and even though some of the donuts looks weird, they still taste Delicious! My boys love the rare occasion that they get Krispy Kreme donuts as a treat! We came in and bought 2 dozen (1 glazed, 1 assorted) and within 5 minutes fresh new donuts were coming down. We tried the glazed dozen and they weren't great. So, I asked about exchanging for a fresh dozen because the new ones just came out and ours tasted stale and I am happy to say that Ian quickly apologized and got us a fresh dozen right away. Very unfriendly and lethargic staff, slow. My kids asked if the workers were zombies. Hot fresh donuts were good, otherwise 1 star. About 15-20% of the donuts coming off the line were bad due to a stuck donut in dough form on the line, and the workers just kept throwing them away, and not taking 10 seconds to fix the problem. After waiting 20 minutes for the worker to get pack 4 dozen donuts for other customers, I asked if it was normal for so many to be coming off the line bad. She wouldn't even look at me or talk at me, just mumbled "No not really, but sometimes". Another worker came over and couldn't find boxes to use for the drive through, and instead of grabbing a bunch just kept going back and forth to get one box at a time. We were on vacation in Colorado and since we don't have Krispy Kreme in Minnesota anymore, the boys had a stop on their list at Krispy Kreme as their final end to a perfect vacation. Krispy Kreme in Thorton did not disappoint us. It was an absolute best time ever. Joan and Becki made it a blast. Everyone was happy and kind and fun. It was fun to see the donuts being made and they were delicious as ever. We were all smiling at our experience. When we left we wanted to take a picture of the family in front of Krispy Kreme and a nice lady offered to do this.
