As we watch threw the large glass wall, the donuts process threw the conveyer belt. Exposed, transfering from one end of the building to the other. We also noticed one of the workers cleaning. The worker is mopping with one if those old school MOPS. The kind with the long strings. He flips and flops it, swishes and swashes it. Its pretty soaked. We noticed its SPLASHING all over the equipment. Possibly making its way to the donuts as the belts are only waist high. This is a HORRIFIC scene. We finished our donuts prior. They were delicious. I loveeee Krispy Kreme donuts. They're doughy, not cakey and always have a cool selection of donuts to choose from. Even better, you can get hot and fresh original glazed donuts when the light is on. Nothing beats it! My only complaint is their customer service! I always get the same older woman to help me whenever I come in, and she is always SO rude. Last time I went, my friend and I were each offered a donut hole while we made our decisions. This place always hits the spot. Although I do not live in the area any longer, this location holds a special place in my heart, because I grew up on these donuts. The donuts are always fresh and the service is superb. I cannot really write much because the donuts speak for themselves. Be sure to come when the red light is on. It would be cool if Krispy Kreme could dip the donuts in chocolate (or other toppings) as soon as they come off of the line. Purchased 2 dozen of the St Patrick's Day green doughnuts and was extremely disappointed in the quality of the doughnuts. They were supposed to be hot and now but never have I have a dozen of hot and now taped shut and cold to on the bottom. They must have been pre-package and sitting in the back The icing was so thin and never even harden up after two days. Could only eat two of them and gave one of the dozen doughnuts away Have had many dozens of doughnuts in the past 20 years from there but never any this bad. The quality has gone down that last couple of years and the hot and now sign is not on in the evening hours like it used to be. Virginia Beach store has the absolutely worst employees. I have been there numerous times and it appears that the last thing they want is to wait on customers. They have a problem speaking clearly and get posted when u ask to repeat. If making donuts does not work they can be MUMBBLE Rappers. Smh. It took a few visits to write a review, however Saturday was the last time I will go there. The lady that waited on me was chopping her gum and fixing her doo-rag wit the utmost attitude. I'm visiting my parents for the week we picked up some donuts, my favorite was the raspberry filled donut but we noticed last night the fillings has significantly changed from when I grew up to now. It's a glob of dark red sugar jelly, no evidence of raspberry anywhere. kK you should do better how difficult can it be to include real raspberry filling. You are falling out with regards to qualitative products. I do like the mini glaze donuts so cute. The jelly donut is such a disappointment you should consider making this one into a mini and use less filling but real organic raspberries. Came in the drive through at 6:30 a.m grabbing a dozen for the office, and order was correct timing was great. But out of the variety i picked i selected mostly original glazed. The original looked far different than normal. Typically, even when hot they have that pretty sheen. And when you take a bit they stay pretty fluffy and a little icing breaks off. These, I took a bite out of one and i was very unpleasantly suprised to find it all mushed down, seemed under baked? And oil saturated through the dough. I don't eat donuts. I save my calories for whipped cream and cake. But I eat hot fresh Krispy Kreme donuts. They melt in your mouth. There is no other way to eat a donut. This is the only donut to eat [when fresh]. In high school, my friend and I would park our car and wait for the red sign to turn on, signaling that fresh donuts were available. We'd each buy a dozen and then scarf it down in a matter of minutes. Now that my metabolism has severely declined :( :( :( I force myself to look the other way, so I don't get tempted. But the sign was on. And I went in. I got my dozen. Krispy Kreme is Buggy and serving our 6-legged friends as well as our human friends. I went to Krispy Kreme with my husband and son on Sunday, 11 OCT 2020 to purchase a couple of dozen donuts. While standing in line waiting my turn and trying to decide which tasty treats I wanted I spotted a bee flying around in the case and walking on the donuts. I tried getting the attention of the guy behind the counter. After calling out to him several times as well as another customer in line he looked at us as if we were annoying him. I pointed out the bee to him. He acted as if he could not see it so now other customers are pointing it out to him. Still acting annoyed he ignored the bee and continued doing what he was doing. At that point, my husband drew my attention to a roach or water bug on the floor. It startled me so I jumped. The customers behind us saw this and left the store saying no way are buying donuts from a place that has 1. Bees and 2. roaches. As soon as they left my son points out a fly in the same donut case as the bee. Two other customers also saw the fly and decided to leave the store. At this point the guy that I was trying to inform about the bee is now asking me what I wanted. I asked him if he was concerned that there is a bee and a fly in the case and there was also a roach on the floor. Okay, what can be said about Krispy Kreme that hasn't already been said? I would venture to say next to nothing, so this is probably a reiteration of everyone else's thoughts. Firstly, the donuts. There's really no comparison. As long as you're getting a hot, fresh donut (which should really be the only way to get these), the dough is light, airy, and soft. The glaze is pretty thin, but very sweet. If you can imagine frosting a cloud and eating it, that's what this is like. Now the negative... the coffee was ummmm........ I'm pretty sure I've had better coffee at hotels. It tasted burnt. 5 stars for the donuts. -1 star for the coffee... and for the fact that there's only one Krispy Kreme within 50 miles of my home (seriously, wtf?). read more

Only come here for the original glaze. Best get it fresh! Usually takes about 10 mins for a dozen. The service here sucks, but donuts make up for it. The inside is small compared to other locations I've been to. You can't fully watch how they're made. This place is old though. I wouldn't eat inside, only because it feels shabby and uninviting. I usually just get these to-go or eat in my car. Make sure you know what you what or the employees will look down at you and give you an attitude for being indecisive. Hot, glazed doughnuts that melt in your mouth! Always the best when they're right off the belt. More of a classic kind of guy so don't try the assortment of flavors or filled doughnuts. I find them a bit to sweet for my tastes. I like the fact that they have a drive-thru so if you're late to work and need a reason why you're late, it makes it convenient to pickup an excuse. It also helps on rainy days when you don't want to get wet but still need your fix. The doughnut holes don't seem as fresh but it does make it more convenient to eat when you're on the go. Now, this location has the made fresh sign which means they make it flipping fresh in the store in BULK! Oh my gosh, yes to the yummy. Good morning! I want to air a grievance against the workers of Krispy Kreme at the 4901 Virginia Beach Blvd. My office ordered some catering for our meeting. There was a mix up and the Door dash delivery person took our order there. No one refused the order, no one said "this is not ours". I spent 35 minutes talking back and forth with Panera and Door dash trying to figure out where the food was. Finally I was given information that it was delivered to the wrong address. Called Krispy Kreme to tell them that someone would go over to the store and pick the food wrongly delivered. A lady picked up the phone and said " Im sorry, your food has been broken down". I said "what do you mean broken down? You mean you ate it? She then admitted that basically they ate our food. The order from Panera had our name, our company and our address. Tell me why would you not refuse this? Why would you not say"this is not ours?" What kind of people take something that doesn't belong to them? Why didn't they try to call and correct the mistake? If it was a mishap, I understand. People make mistakes. But what kind of person just say "oh yeah free food. Let me just take it and surely there'll be no consequences". Really what's better than Krispy Kreme? To each his own, yes, but my "own" is Krispy Kreme. My favorite kind of donut isn't cakey, but more like these- soft, moist, warm, and just enough glaze on top. And the options they have nowadays! This month's special is the cake and brownie batter filled donuts, which I really need to try asap. Really this place never gets old. I came here with family who really needed coffee and a sweet treat, and we had the dozen glazed donuts downed within the hour. Coming inside, I was thinking I'd be receiving a different kind of service, but nope, pretty much the same. I was waiting at the register ready to order and a couple of the staff was just having a conversation and waited til they were done before attending to me. It is incredibly irritating that I drive over twenty minutes to this location of Krispy Kreme only for it to be closed ahead of it hours. Another woman was in line ahead of me and was rudely turned away by the one employee on site, taking off 45 minutes before they were set to close. Their hours of operation blatantly were stated to be til midnight on Saturday evenings, and yet, for no reason at all, they shut down at least 45 minutes early! Pure laziness if you ask me. The one employee that was still on site, but taking off as we arrived, was also incredibly rude. This is not the first time we have had issues with this location of Krispy Kreme. This Va Beach location is a nice Krispy Kreme Restaurant, with that 'old style" look to the store. Why am I partial to that 'old style' look you might ask? Because it reminds me of the late '70's and early '80's. We used to have a Krispy Kreme shop we visited back then when I was a kid, it had a big "Hot Product, when flashing" sign outside, down in Baton Rouge, LA. You'd see people throw their blinker on and get in the turn lane when those 'hot product when flashing' lights popped on. Memories... :-) So, about this particular restaurant: Helpful staff, nice seating area, and yes indeed, the only donut chain (that I know of...) which has "Hot Product" served throughout the day! Because we are talking donuts people.
