I was very sad when all the Krispy Kreme's in the Capital Region closed. So when I was in Virginia I had to stop. I ordered a box of glazed doughnuts and they were delicious. They were soft and sweet and the glaze melted in my mouth. Every bite exploded with flavor and the doughnuts were mouth watering delicious. Krispy Kreme probably has the best doughnuts there is. The hot doughnuts melt right in your mouth, so bad for you, but so good! If you've never had a hot Krispy Kreme doughnut, you really haven't lived. It's an experience like no other. Currently, I'm loving the new salted caramel latte. It's sweet, crunchy, with a hint of salt on the crunchy topping. It's stuffed with latte cream filling. Since the remodel this place has been amazing in customer service, efficiency and quality. The drive thru is open 24 hours which is nice for us who work off hours. The items I have been receiving, doughnuts, ice coffee, hot coffee, are delicious and prepared to my liking. Go when the light is on! I am not a big donut eater but I can't resist their sweet, pillowy, rings of goodness when they are hot and fresh off the line. This location is one of their older, original locations and it's so much better than all the newer locations that popped up throughout the country in the last 6 years. The original glazed donuts are so light that they taste almost like a marshmallow. You have to eat it hot though. It makes a huge difference. This was my first time ever coming to or tasting Krispy Kreme. I've heard about these donuts from many people from the south that I just had a have one. Let me start off with the staff, they were so nice, cheerful and professional. Customer service is very big here. The donut it's self. Omg is was very good and apparently I got the first set of donuts that came out after the "Red Light" went off. I kept wondering why everyone in there got excited when the red light came because apparently that when there making a fresh new batch of donuts. While there I also tried a apple pie donut. Can I tell you that donut was everything. It taste so light and fresh; the apples filling tasted very fresh. The donut cost $7.00 for dozen which is definitely worth the man. The donuts were perfect. The location was pristinely clean. BUT the service doesn't even deserve 1 star. It was absolutely pathetic. A woman had her kid following her into the kitchen. Another girl ran out from behind the counter in the middle of checking someone out to go yell at her friend. The other cashier didn't make any eye contact, mumbled, and had absolutely no sense of politeness. I can't believe this location even gets business w the service like that. HOT LIGHT ON!! It calls me by name when the light turns on! It's amazing when they come out fresh! The donuts just melt in your mouth! Be sure to get at least a dozen, because you won't realize you ate 4 in the blink of an eye! Just a caution, when the light turns on, this place is packed!!! This place was recently renovated and I haven't been there since. The new renovations look awesome! I stopped by on 09/19 "talk like a pirate day" with my co-workers to grab a dozen for my office. The staff was nice and very welcoming. Even better, they talked and dressed like pirates for the day. There was no wait and my donuts were hot and fresh. First the sweet smell hits your nose and it just makes your mouth water. There donut selection is amazing!! They have everything from fruit filled to chocolate frosted, apple fritter and the classic glazed. I indulged into these delicious, warm, sweet donuts. YUM!!! I also tried there frozen coffees... This was our first time visiting Krispy Kreme today as we love Krispy Kreme donuts we decided to get a dozen. When I went to pay the girl (Abigail) at the register gives me a promotion paper which says that if I download the Krispy Kreme app and buy a dozen I would get a free dozen. I tell her as I just got a dozen I can download the app and get the free dozen. She smiles at me and tells me since she already processed my purchase I can not get this promotion (free dozen). She hands out this promotion page to customers all day long I would think she should have brought this to my attention before processing my purchase knowing full well we were buying a dozen.
