I recently stopped by Krispy Kreme and ordered through the drive-thru. The process was quick and easy, someone took my order promptly, pulled up, paid, and received my half dozen Original Glazed donuts with no hassle. The Original Glazed is my favorite as they're soft, pillowy, and taste just as good as I remember. I'm not sure why there are so many negative reviews, because my experience was great. We went to get donuts at 1pm on a Sunday. The lobby said open, we walk up and the door is locked. We go through the drive through and place an order. They did not say anything at the drive through menu, they waited until we went up to the window to tell us that they did not have HALF of the donuts we asked for. Instead of letting us know when putting in the order in the first place. We were wondering why it took 10 minutes for the person in front of us to get through the second window, it's probably because they did the same thing and made them reorder at the pick up window. Magical Harry Potter doughnuts is why I came, and I sure was glad I did! I ordered the box of 12. Each box has 2 themed doughnuts for each Hogwarts house. And each house has their own unique flavor. Plus two delicous mystery flavored ones that are sorting hat themed and the kreme on the inside is color themed for one of the houses. Which house will you get? Poor App, Poor Selection, and Poor Service What lured me to Krispy Kreme this morning was their limited time Biscoff Cookie Butter Cheesecake Doughnut combined with an early morning email offer for a free one with any purchase. When I tried logging into the app, I had issues with the app signing me in. To be clear, I'm not some boomer that doesn't know how to use my device. It was definitely some type of glitch with the app. After multiple attempts I gave up and quickly created a new account using an alternate email. I placed my order and headed to the shop. Unfortunately, there is only one Krispy Kreme in my area and it's a 30-minute round trip out of my way, but this seemed worth my time. Arriving at the shop I was told my order was not ready as they did not have that doughnut in stock. This isn't the first time I've been burned by Krispy Kreme's horrible app. One: why is the doughnut available for order if they don't have it in stock?! Two: the shop claims they tried to call me, but because I had to quickly create a second account (since the app wouldn't let me log in, even with a password reset) I didn't have a phone number on file. I wasn't offered any kind of compensation for what to me seems like a failure on Krispy Kreme's end. Since I had already driven out of my way in inclement weather (not the best choice on my part) I asked if they could substitute the Biscoff Cookie Butter Cheesecake Doughnuts I ordered with my favorite usual doughnut, which is their Cake Batter Doughnut. I was told that wasn't available today either! The only thing they did right was quickly refunded my money. I put an order in at 7:30 am on Saturday, May 2nd to be picked up at 3:45. I called the store at 2:30 to verify they had the order and it would be ready since I have had an issue with this location before. I arrived at 3:45 to pick my order up. Not only was it not ready but they didn't have half the options available that I ordered. The girl said she asked the manager what she should do and she said give us other kinds. There were multiple people working and one person was trying to help the girl put the order together but she was overwhelmed. After waiting more than 20 minutes in the drive thru for our order to be put together, the order was not correct, and we were missing donuts. We were unable to check them while we were still there with how they were boxed up so we didn't know until we arrived late to the party with them. I asked to talk to the manager while I was there, who knew this was all going on and was told she was counting the safe. The whole process was unacceptable. When the person in charge doesn't care about customer service, no one else working is going to care. Not only will I nor anyone I know order from Krispy Kreme again after multiple failures but with no one stepping up to help or to have our order ready to go at the assigned time, multiple cars in the drive thru left after waiting so long to be taken care of. I went to get the Harry Potter donuts I ordered online and, after waiting in a 30 minute line ,I went to the second window. They said they didn't have any of the donuts , but when she checked she saw are order and Gave us the donut. Upon opening it I was very angry to see that Hufflepuff was missing from the box and replaced with cheap glazed donut. The snakes on Slytherin Looks nothing like on the advertisements , and all the donuts are covered in raven claw stickers . I wanted a cup of coffee so I went to MDs because I like the coffee as far as fast food restaurants go but the line was horrendous in both lanes so I'm not waiting that long for a coffee. I not a donut guy and I never thought that I would ever stop at KK but it was down the street and they must have coffee I thought if they have donuts so I stopped by. Well when in Rome I ordered the blueberry cake donut and a medium coffee for $3 and change which took a few minutes and way faster than the MDs drive through. My first thought was that the blueberry cake donut was really small and flat that was glazed but then again I'm not a donut guy and maybe this is how donuts are but I swear I have seen bigger donuts through out my life. The coffee was super average and blended for the masses I thought even though I like my coffee black. This is definitely not my favorite morning place but I will probably be back because the drive through wait was very reasonable and the apple fritter thing on the menu deserves a try because that's one donut that I will make an exception to eat from time to time. read more

Better management than what used to be here but the fact that the inside is never open, the donuts on the app/outside in the drive thru never match what is actually available is very frustrating. I had fond memories going to this krispy kreme growing up and it seems like there is no heart left at this one anymore. So happy that there is a Krispy Kreme in Wisconsin! I remember a time when there were so many Krispy Kremes everywhere and fundraisers (with those half dozen boxes) were super popular. It's nostalgic and I absolutely love the simplicity of a glazed donut. I was so excited to see one not too far from Milwaukee and made a short trek to grab a dozen for the hubby and I. The location is in a plaza and has a ton of parking as well as a drive thru (which was pretty cool). The selection was decent: they have the delicious original one flavor as well as Oreo-flavored, pumpkin flavored and chocolate and strawberry glazed as well. I would love to try their unique flavors (they don't offer everything that is listed on their website). Service was so friendly. Wonderful staff. read more

This is deplorable!!! Indoor dining was closed, so used the drive-thru and saw many options on the ordering kiosk. Was told to pull forward to the ordering window. Cashier did not smile or greet me with kindness. Showed her the ad for free donut for March 16/17 if wearing green. She said that they were not participating. Told her there were no exclusions on the coupon. She flat-out refused to honor it. I requested manager and she also refused to honor ad. My friend paid in cash, and cashier said she still owed her change but failed to actually give it. I had to ask for it just before we left. Drove 25 minutes out of my way for this deal, and on top of not receiving it, 80% of what was offered on menu was not even available. I ended up getting a dozen donuts that I didn't want and were stale and greasy and barely had any icing on them. Found proof that this location was supposed to participate in this event, and tried to call manager the next day when the cashier had said she would be on duty. My phone call was never answered. The manager who was on duty the day I visited was very rude to me. I am out 25 miles worth of gas driving there and $16 worth of nasty donuts I didn't want. read more

Lemme just start by saying we need more Krispy Kreme locations! Although it may seem like these are soooo bad for you, they're actually really good for your soul. I don't even really like donuts honestly but these super soft, practically melt in your mouth perfectly sweet creations are heaven! My favorite are the original but I'll get sprinkles on occasion because, sprinkles! If you're lucky, you might get a free donut if the neon light is on (indicating a fresh batch is underway!) but I haven't seen it on in quite awhile so I'm not sure it's something this location does anymore. The only reason for the 4 stars is because the last few times we've gone in they didn't have the donuts we went specifically there for. For example, around Valentine's Day they have heart donuts but we made multiple trips and every time they either didn't have some ingredient or had run out. Given this is the only location and not super close to my house, just made it a bit disappointing and when it happens on numerous occasions, makes me less likely to make the trek if the odds of what I want aren't going to be available. Another reason for docking a star is because this location doesn't honor special promotions I'll see on Facebook or on the internet. I get that promotions can vary by location but again, another reason to not make the trek if special promotions aren't honored either. The donuts are amazing, albeit a little pricey but so worth it at least once! I called prior to driving about half an hour each way to pick up donuts for a gathering I'll be attending early in the morning. I thought getting my 4 dozen in the evening makes one less thing I would need to do in the morning. When I called , I asked the individual her name...simple business 101 for accountability. The last thing I want to do is get answers over the phone and arrive to find out the individual was completely wrong. Then the manager would say, " who told you that?" But they aren't ever open (signs say they are, recently updated hours online say they are) and they don't answer the phone or have a voicemail message stating their hours, and they don't post anything online. Absolutely a terrible business. Go anywhere else. We were there July 20-22 for a quick family getaway. We stayed at a hotel 6 minutes away and were excited to get some KK donuts. My husband drove there at 7:30 AM two days in a row to be told... on both days... that they cannot start serving donuts yet because they either got there too late, or because night shift didn't get them "ready" and "f***ed" them over (my toddler is sitting there staring at them as the woman said that). Both times the place was filled with employees, presumably clocked in, definitely not working. The front of the store is not open- sign on door says Drive thru only. I'm 6 months pregnant and love a Krispy Kreme donut, so on our way home we gave it a final try at 3:30 PM on Sunday to get a dozen original. They only had 4 left and had a few other flavors. We grabbed the last 4. They looked like crap. We've previously been at this location a handful of times while driving through or staying nearby, as recently as 4 months ago. We've never seen the donuts look this bad or have had such awful service. They've always been very standard, picture perfect glazed donuts and friendly service. Never again. read more

But why, oh why, are they now selling them in our local Meijer's in boxes of six for just under $5(one star) and taste absolutely horrid (frosting turned to liquid on surface, dough is tough and tastes of rancid oil). The RANCID oil smell started when we were still outside the building. We should have turned around and walked back to the car. Since we had promised a group that we'd bring two dozen Krispy Kremes, we were stuck. The clerk didn't know how to scan the code from the ap on my phone. She managed to get us the BOGO price by entering our phone number instead. When we got back to the office and opened the boxes, the doughnuts tasted as rancid as the oil smelled.
