No frills fried chicken while you're filling up your car. Krispy Krunchy in the area is a secret source of pretty great fried chicken. I try to get there every once in a while, and always pretty impressed by the quality. Try to get them mid-morning when the fryer is hot. Great and convenient in and out location on Sunnyoaks and Winchester. Full service deli and mini mart too.

Friendly staff, decent food! The service is great, very welcoming. The chicken is okay, but I wouldn't call it the best.

They do Cajun fried chicken along with other Cajun and Southern dishes. No worries if you can't handle spicy food though, as the regular chicken isn't that kind of hot, and tastes like it's done traditionally by frying in lard. Actually, almost everything seems to be deep-fried and/or practically made of butter. Ordering can be done online or through the gas station cashier by ordering from the heated showcase display. They seemed to get brisk business here for their chicken and were great with our larger order (aka their family meals), even with the line/crowd of people ordering and waiting for their food. Side note, a lot of people seem to drop by here for lunch, which makes sense as you can pick up some hot food and whatever other snacks or drinks you may want from the rest of the store/market. Not much seating inside though. Krispy Krunchy Chicken is most well known for being the fried chicken place inside gas stations. The South Bay has three locations with this Campbell's Sunnyoaks Valero one being one of two gas station spots and the third being some kind of pickup location. I love how crispy their chicken is while the meat remains juicy, the types of sauces, and I'm pretty sure the honey butter biscuits are the most amazing I've ever had. Overall, this is probably THE cheat day menu. Super convenient for when you're feeding a larger group and I appreciate that they sort out/sell different parts of the chicken on top of white vs dark meat. Would definitely recommend it.

I never thought i'd give fried chicken from a gas station in campbell 4 stars on yelp, but here we are. krispy krunchy chicken is tucked into a corner of a gas station on winchester. as soon as you step inside the greasy savory smell of the chicken hits like a wave of goodness. i was a bit unsure what to order but ultimately ordered the 3 piece combo with mac n cheese. the portions were humongous. believe it or not, the gigantic mass of chicken above the biscuit is a single piece. the chicken is nicely seasoned with cajun flavors. it has a hint of spice that's perfect for fried chicken. the honey butter biscuit was fresh and unlike any biscuit i'd ever tasted. pairing this with the chicken created this sweet, spicy and savory combination that brings the meal together. sadly, the mac n cheese was some of the worst i've ever had. it's watery and bland and was a let down considering how good the other food was. overall, good price for the food. i will 100% be back again to try the tenders and maybe the potato wedges.

The chicken was so crunchy. I was impressed. Would definitely order this again. A little greasy but what can you expect from fried chicken.

This one will get one more chance.

The portions are serious, the chicken is juicy, and the breading has a great crunch. What really sets them apart for me is the spice. I've had levels 3, 4, and 5, and they're not simply the same seasoning with progressively more heat. Each level actually has a different pepper profile and flavor. Level 3 brings cayenne and Thai chili, level 4 moves into Thai chili and habanero, and level 5 adds habanero and ghost pepper. You can taste the difference, not just feel more burn. The seasoned fries are great too and they definitely don't skimp on the portions. It is a little pricey for a chicken sandwich and fries, but when you see the size and quality of what you're getting, I think it's worth it. Scratch is easily one of my favorite hot chicken spots.

We ordered the Texas chicken sandwich and chicken strips. Portions were generous, and the sandwich was super tasty. The strips were fresh and flavorful, but be careful with the spice levels! We ordered level 1 and it was flaming hot. Even level 0 has a kick, so I'd recommend going one level lower than you normally would. The curly fries were also great. Overall, a solid 4/5. The only star off was for the spice-level calibration. Great food and portions, and we'll definitely be back!

First the good, Your favorites are still there and are just as good served across a counter as they were handed down from a food truck window. We split their sliders with Louisiana Rub and fries and loved them as we always have. Secondly, it was a bit slow on this Thursday night. I believe Jojo's Kooser road customers haven't found their new home. Third, some thoughts on the location. It's clean but utilitarian and basic. I'd love to see it get a little soul and perhaps provide more of a nod to the food truck past. Maybe also expand the menu with the larger kitchen? Jojo's still has the sandwiches we love and it will be fun to watch it grow into its new space. (Loved the Jeremiah and Corinthians references too. Appropriately hopeful)

Last time we tried the seasoned fries, which we were hoping and hoping that they weren't too seasoned, being that the wings already have lots of flavor. This time, at one of their brick and mortar locations, there were many pros and cons. For one, I love that they actually put the "hot" in nashville hot chicken. Their medium packs a small punch unlike similar spots which are overly mild. Second, the fries and sauce here are amazing!!! The thick crinkle cut fries are not my favorite style usually, but here they make em so crispy with a soft pillowy center. Also so well-seasoned. I also like the seasoning on the hot chicken- it's less salty than most places and more of a real chili pepper flavor to it. Now for what wasn't my favorite: the chicken was a tad bit on the dryer side and the batter was an in-between of crispy and stale. The loaded mac came with both fries and mac n cheese. The mac itself was a bit bland, but everything out together was not bad. They had what seemed like no AC or proper ventilation when we went and it was so warm! Had us sweating by the end of the meal from both the spice and the heat. Workers were bare minimum of taking your order, and it took around 10 min for everything to come out. Overall: 3.6/5
