I'd read about all the Jojo's praise and hype and was so excited to finally try it! I went a little before 7 pm and it wasn't crowded at all. However, after placing my order on the kiosk, it said I'd have a 22 minute wait (5th in line) so that made me wonder if I should've just ordered online prior, but the anticipation and build-up was worth it. We opted for the one tender and one slider combo in Medium, and on Wednesdays, it's got a bit of a discount. After waiting for a bit, we got our orders and whewww did it smell so good! I was ready to eat the food right then and there since there was seating available inside and on the patio outside, but we needed some yogurt and milk just in case :P I snuck some fries on the car ride home and MAN were those some seasoned and crispy fries! The seasoning on the slider and tender were so flavorful, it had a bit of a sweetness and acidity to it in addition to the heat and flavor, I enjoyed the pickles, but I really like the way they do their fries. The chicken was slightly dry so I'd dock maybe half a point of a point for that but overall I would return, maybe try the spice level one lower for my tummy's sake. I've eaten here twice since they opened their brick and mortar shop. First time was very good. Second time was meh. First time I ordered two strip and fries box. One Mild and one Louisiana Rub. Chicken was tender and rubs were not too spicy as expected. Fries had a nice crisp and were reasonably seasoned. Second time I ordered the same. This time the chicken was hard and chewy (not tender). Rubs were noticeably too spicy compared to the first time. And the fries were overly seasoned. I wasn't able to eat the meal. Did not like the dipping sauce. Would like at least a plain ranch dressing option. Menu overall is lean and streamlined. Basically chicken and fries served a few different ways. The shop itself is smallish on the inside. Felt crowded with a handful of people. Enough seating to sit inside or out but getting it to go seems easier. I was able to order from a kiosk but they do have a person who can take your order at the register if needed. Food seems cooked to order so there was a jot of a wait. Nothing too long. Parking lot is on the smaller side but definitely enough spaces to accommodate. I'm sorry to give this lackluster review as I like supporting independent businesses. But at this price point I value consistency in quality and after the second visit I'm not going to spend so much and risk a meal I don't want to finish. read more

We've been to Jojo's multiple times when they had their food truck, but we came to their brick and mortar location today. The spices were spot on as always, but the chicken was dry across the board for six of us. 3/4 of my tenders were rubbery too. The size of the tenders also seems to have gotten smaller. Stopped by for a quick bite with my friends and the food came out pretty fast, I'd say the wait was less than 10 minutes. We ordered a mix of the tender meals and slider meals. I definitely overestimated my spice tolerance and picked a level that was way too hot for me, so I'd recommend being a little cautious when choosing your spice level unless you can really handle heat. The chicken itself was really good though. Once my mouth stopped being on fire, I could actually enjoy the seasoning lol. I liked that the chicken wasn't overly oily or greasy, it stayed crispy, flavorful, and still juicy inside. The crinkle fries were good too, and the pickles on the side helped balance out the heaviness from the chicken and fries just by a little bit. One thing I do wish is that they offered more vegetable toppings or sides like onions and jalapeños similar to BBQ spots. I feel like that would make the meal even better. Also, if you haven't tried it yet, definitely try adding honey with the chicken and fries because it's surprisingly really good. I do think the way the chairs and tables are placed makes it a bit cramped. There were others inside the store as well and we had to scoot by uncomfortably. read more

They gave me 3 tenders when I was only supposed to get 2 and this is SO much better than Dave's Hot Chicken. So glad they have a brick n mortar place and stayed true to their flavor and style from their original food truck on Kooser. There is a self serve kiosk you place your order, no cash, the music is good , place is very clean and service was good. I saw folks ordering ahead which is the way to go. YESSSSS, you need to eat here! Had been wanting to try Jojo's for months. We drove by the truck on Kooser, multiple times, and eventually realized they had limited hours & that we came by at the wrong time of day. Bummer for us lol. Then one random day we were driving down Branham & saw a store front! We had to confirm that this was the same Jojo's and see what their hours were. We decided to visit on a Sunday - Yelp & Google stated they would be open at 4pm. We get there only to find out they're closed on Sundays =( . The owner, Yohana, happened to be there and told us that they weren't open. He was so kind & apologetic. He told us to come back on Monday & come hungry. So we did lol. The food was FANTASTIC! We both got one mild tender & one Louisiana tender with fries. The mild had some heat! I usually can do medium at other chicken places but I wouldn't be able to here. Oooh and their sauce?!?! First off, we've been customers at jojo's for a a few years. Tonight, May 14, we were in for dinner and it was the first time we've gotten bad food. The chicken was so dry. The Louisiana Rub tenders were really lacking in seasoning. The Country tenders were so bland. I know they're not supposed to be spicy, but usually there's some flavor and seasoning. I really hope they're just having a supply issue with the bread, it wasn't the usual potato bread. It seems like an issue with new workers needing training. We will try again at some point, but it was really bad tonight. That chicken had to be cooked to like 190 instead of 165. It was so dry and chewy. My husband and son have eaten here since they opened this location and it was just as good as it was at the food truck. So I really think it's an issue with needing to hire more ppl for the brick and mortar, and those ppl definitely need more training. We will give it another try in a few weeks. Hopefully it's back to normal. One person in our group summed it up well: "If I ate that chicken blindfolded I wouldn't have been able to tell it was jojo's." read more

The Grand Opening went well and while there was a long long, it was excellent food. Probably better than their truck.
