No frills fried chicken while you're filling up your car. Krispy Krunchy in the area is a secret source of pretty great fried chicken. I try to get there every once in a while, and always pretty impressed by the quality. Try to get them mid-morning when the fryer is hot. Great and convenient in and out location on Sunnyoaks and Winchester. Full service deli and mini mart too.

Friendly staff, decent food! The service is great, very welcoming. The chicken is okay, but I wouldn't call it the best.

They do Cajun fried chicken along with other Cajun and Southern dishes. No worries if you can't handle spicy food though, as the regular chicken isn't that kind of hot, and tastes like it's done traditionally by frying in lard. Actually, almost everything seems to be deep-fried and/or practically made of butter. Ordering can be done online or through the gas station cashier by ordering from the heated showcase display. They seemed to get brisk business here for their chicken and were great with our larger order (aka their family meals), even with the line/crowd of people ordering and waiting for their food. Side note, a lot of people seem to drop by here for lunch, which makes sense as you can pick up some hot food and whatever other snacks or drinks you may want from the rest of the store/market. Not much seating inside though. Krispy Krunchy Chicken is most well known for being the fried chicken place inside gas stations. The South Bay has three locations with this Campbell's Sunnyoaks Valero one being one of two gas station spots and the third being some kind of pickup location. I love how crispy their chicken is while the meat remains juicy, the types of sauces, and I'm pretty sure the honey butter biscuits are the most amazing I've ever had. Overall, this is probably THE cheat day menu. Super convenient for when you're feeding a larger group and I appreciate that they sort out/sell different parts of the chicken on top of white vs dark meat. Would definitely recommend it.

I never thought i'd give fried chicken from a gas station in campbell 4 stars on yelp, but here we are. krispy krunchy chicken is tucked into a corner of a gas station on winchester. as soon as you step inside the greasy savory smell of the chicken hits like a wave of goodness. i was a bit unsure what to order but ultimately ordered the 3 piece combo with mac n cheese. the portions were humongous. believe it or not, the gigantic mass of chicken above the biscuit is a single piece. the chicken is nicely seasoned with cajun flavors. it has a hint of spice that's perfect for fried chicken. the honey butter biscuit was fresh and unlike any biscuit i'd ever tasted. pairing this with the chicken created this sweet, spicy and savory combination that brings the meal together. sadly, the mac n cheese was some of the worst i've ever had. it's watery and bland and was a let down considering how good the other food was. overall, good price for the food. i will 100% be back again to try the tenders and maybe the potato wedges.

Thought it was a good idea, but it turned out to be undercooked on the inside and it was very oily. The biscuits also were not that great.

We arrived on a Saturday evening for dinner. The restaurant is located in a nice newer plaza area in Cupertino off the Vallco Parkway close to where Vallco Shopping Mall once stood. Parking is available in the parking garage in the plaza. The restaurant is medium size but maximizes the space efficiently with plenty of booths and tables for dine in. The modern decor is nice and sleek. Whereas the vibe is bustling and welcoming. We ordered the combo of 2 pounds of shrimp with heads on, garlic noodles, and 2 steamed rice. The seafood boil came out in a large silver bowl instead of the usual large clear bag. I found this to be much better in presentation. Everything was so delicious. The captain Loui sauce was so flavorful and sweet. The shrimp were plump and juicy. Garlic noodles were tasty. A couple of saucy yummy corn and potato were found in the bowl which was a good surprise. Overall we enjoyed our experience at Cap't Loui. The staff were friendly and accommodating. The combo options were a great deal. Free Ice cream popsicles for dessert were a nice surprise at the end. We will definitely be back as their seafood boil is one of the better options in the South Bay.

This is our go-to spot after a Sharks game!…read more Perfect for decompressing after a game-can stuff our faces as a source of comfort after a hard loss, or grab a few more rounds of drinks after a win. This visit, my husband and I ordered the crawfish pasta and the jambalaya. We also got the shrimp po'boy to go for my in-laws to try. The crawfish pasta was delicious and had a fair crawfish to pasta ratio (like 5 pasta shells to each crawfish bite, which is perfect for me as I was craving pasta that week). We also got drinks which was an interesting ordering experience since you have to order and pay at the bar before you get to the register where you can order your food. I think the bartender did a good job managing the crowd and checking in as best as she can to make sure people got their drink orders in! Jambalaya was flavorful (and I got it again on my next visit so I was def happy with it). No A/C inside and only fans which was rough after this particularly hot heat wave of a week we had. Outdoor was vibey if you were able to secure a spot. They had a live band playing so we were not able to secure a spot in that area. We decided to stay indoors where we were able to eventually cool down with our drinks. I can absolutely see this as a spot we go to before and after games. Already thinking about the next time we go with our friend group. And I'm noting that there's a speakeasy underneath I want to check out!

Unfortunately, I was disappointed with both the Jambalaya and the Red Beans & Rice. Both dishes were surprisingly bland and lacked the depth of flavor I was expecting. The jambalaya was missing the bold, layered seasoning and richness that normally makes this dish so satisfying. The Red Beans & Rice was similarly underwhelming...very mild and without enough seasoning or complexity to bring everything together. I really wanted to enjoy the food, but both dishes fell flat for me. When I think of Cajun and Creole-inspired food, I expect bold, savory flavors with plenty of character, and unfortunately this DoorDash order missed the mark. If you're craving red beans and rice and don't have the time to make it at home, make the trip to The Bywater in Los Gatos. Or, if you just want a punch of flavor... go to Popeyes. LOL. Honestly, either would satisfy the craving more.

After watching a review on social media, I decided to try something new. I had to try the cracklin' chicken bites. I ordered the southern fried fish, added the brisket, and the collard greens. After I ordered, I went to the bar to order a gin and tonic. I asked for the Bombay Sapphire gin. Then, it turned into an unreal experience. When I got my drink, I asked the female bartender if she added lemon or lime. She gave me "the look" and said I did not ask for lemon or lime. Taken aback, I told her that I've never had a gin and tonic without lemon or lime. She then replied, "rude". I proceeded to apologize, and then she acquiesced and gave me a garnish. I thanked her and again apologized. She was having none of it. I was in a great mood because I still tipped her. However, it has been bugging me ever since July 25. Hence, my review. Back to the food. My food was delicious, flavorful, and portion sizes were great. In fact, I am taking my parents there today. However, we are going to go to the one on South of Market--just in case I want a gin and tonic. I will be sure to ask for lime this time. :)
