I booked Kristen for my NYC wedding in May and she was fantastic!!! From the very beginning of the process, from the trial to the wedding day; Kristen was a dream to work with. For the trial, Kristen was super flexible and traveled to my apartment. After explaining the look that I wanted and some more details about my dress and the type of wedding we were having; Kristen did my make--up even better than I could have imagined. My fiancé (now husband) came home later that evening and the look on his face was priceless when he walked through the door! He told Kristen not to change anything for the wedding day. On the day of the wedding, Kristen arrived with plenty of time to do make-up for my mom, sister, mother-in-law and me. Her calming presence helped me relax despite all the commotion with everyone getting ready. I have never felt as beautiful as I did that day and I can't thank Kristen enough! Not only was I extremely happy, but my mom, sister, and mother-in-law loved the way they looked too. Our make-up lasted the entire day and looked great when we got our photos back. I can honestly say I have never felt more beautiful then I did on my wedding day - and a lot of the credit goes to Kristen! I am very low maintenance when it comes to my daily make-up routine and was very concerned about my wedding make-up being too much. Kristen knows how to strike the right balance between making sure you look like yourself, but still stand out. Kristen also did the make-up for my bridal party (including two very picky red-heads) and my make-up phobic mother, and made everyone was happy with their look! In addition to her wonderful work Kristen is just great to work with. She is very organized and always had everything (scheduling etc.) under control. She struck the right balance between relaxed and efficient and kept my maids and me all right on schedule. I'm so glad I booked Kristen to do my wedding makeup. After doing a few makeup trials, I chose Kristen because she totally nailed my skin tone with her makeup application and really listened to me when I described what I wanted to look like. I also felt we were a really good match personality wise, and that I would enjoy being around her on my wedding day. On the day, she did a fantastic job on me, and my mom and sister too. Everyone loved her, she was professional, and a very sweet and calm presence on the morning of my wedding. I thought my makeup look really complemented my features and cool skin tones, and like others have mentioned the normal foundation/ airbrush mixture is pretty genius. She made my skin look perfect. My eyes and lips had a pop of color (as requested) but nothing over the top (as requested!) Lasted all day without ever looking heavy. Would definitely recommend to any brides! read more

As the rating points out, "Woohoo! As good as it gets!" And I couldn't agree more. Kristen did my makeup when I was a bridesmaid in a wedding and I've never looked better. My normally oily skin was flawless and shine free and my usually invisible eyelashes were long and dazzling. I felt absolutely stunning. My makeup lasted all morning and night (and even after not washing my face before going to bed (whoops) it still looked gorgeous in the morning)! Kristen is truly an artist with a makeup brush. Kristen also made me feel extremely comfortable and listened to the bride about how she wanted the bridesmaids' makeup to look. We all looked fabulous, especially the bride herself. I would 100% recommend Kristen to all of my friends and anyone reading this review, and I will obviously be using her for any and all of my own upcoming events/affairs. Kristen did an fantastic job on my make up for my wedding this summer! I had some pictures of contoured/highlighted face makeup with very dramatic eyes which would involve a lot of work and she tweaked the look I showed her in the photos to compliment my face perfectly. I also am allergic to certain preservatives in make up but I didn't have to worry since she thoroughly checked all her products for me in advance. The products Kristen uses look very good and are very high quality. She was great to work with and also has great references which I used for getting my hair done which saved me time, best wedding vendor I worked with and make me look amazing for my big day :) read more

Incredibly talented and sensitive to special needs posted 10/3/2012 I was recently in my sister's wedding, and as a gift to all of the wedding party as well as the mother of the bride, my sister treated us all to makovers! Kristen did a fabulous job on all of us, including Mom, who is in her 70's and sufferring from Alzheimer's disease. Mom asked Kristen repeatedly which make up she was using, how she was applying it, and Kristen patiently answered her each time. Her sweet and caring touch with Mom still chokes me up. I was recently in a wedding where Kristen did the makeup for the bride PLUS four other women, and she was fantastic! She had great energy and patience, and she made us all look like US on our best day.
