But after a major surgery leaving me with severe neuropathy, headaches and pain, I was referred to a neurologist. Finding the technology in place and All the studies, I found they were the neurologist I needed. We quickly were able to access due to the right side handicap of my body it was not a stroke, prompt MRI to discover we could rule out the stroke or such. We went with the ambulatory EEG and discovered I had many issues to resolve. The EMG discovered chronic neuropathy on the right side. Left, minor. Linked to Lumbar 4 and SI along other minor damages from long surgery. We have so much still to do, but the evidence is now clear of my path with referred physical therapy to get me back in the path of recovery. My only complaint is, office isn't very prompt on following up on referrals. Too many hands relying on each other and slips. So you can do your own follow up and allow them to do the neurological work, they are worth it. Staff and doctor are friendly and juggle to get you the test needed. It's just insurance that delays the process so you do the leg work.

I am no longer a patient. The following review is why i changed medical providers…read more....... Attention new patients: when they say you will not be able to see any other doctor than the one you are originally assigned to, they mean NO matter what. This policy is fine, but they don't even cover each other for vacations or other absences! I understand not allowing patients to just see other doctors as a matter of convenience but i am having trouble walking!! My pain is terrible..... I was instructed to go to the ER, which we all know is NOT the answer because I am not dying. That is what an ER is for. Broken, bleeding or dying. An Orthopedic office is for non emergency issues, like this. Here's what happened...... I've been on the cancellation list for a few weeks. I call on occasion to find out if there's been one, just in case. I always ask if it's okay to call back. The staff is super pleasant. But when they told me this morning that my doc is out of town for the next week+, I asked for an exception because I am in genuine and growing pain. I cannot sleep. Which means I'm fatigued. I have multiple sclerosis and that's a life changer for me. I was even OK with continuing to call next week hoping to get a cancellation but knowing that I have no choice but to live like this for the next week+ because of a "rule" is really upsetting. So yes I believe the policy means more to these people than patient care. I'll be changing my orthopedist which is a bummer because I really like Dr Gonsalvez. His first injections worked well. Thing is, my issue came back with a vengeance and in his absence he has no back up. I think I'd rather go to an office where the doctors work together as a team.

Did not get walker until 5 hours before surgery. Did not send script in for anti biotic for teeth cleaning after surgery. He said how was he to know I was to my teeth cleaned. I had to gag down 4 anti biotic horse pills while laying back in dentist chair. When I asked him for different pain pills he ordered 8(eight) pills one every six hours for 7 days. He said he'd send this script to Costco but after 8 hours found out he sent it to Walgreens. The reason he these things was because I cursed. He said I used profanity. When my knee was killing me I spoke colorfully about the pain. Never directed at anyone!!!! He also said I should have called the office about only getting 8 pills which I did not do because I was embarrassed to be in pain.

I am never one to write reviews, but I had an unbelievably negative experience at Camp Lowell…read moreCardiology. I spent four months seeking help for sudden onset of chest pain, palpitations, and shortness of breath only to be dismissed and told it was "just GERD"--even when the medications they prescribed for it provided no relief. I was prescribed multiple cardiac drugs without any clear instructions and without any actual cardiac-specific diagnosis. I primarily saw NP Kelly Majors, who lacked the expertise to differentiate between basic cardiac tests and even prescribed me a drug that was directly contraindicated with my existing medical history. Dr. Goldberg spent less than five minutes with me and dismissed my concerns entirely. Even worse, they refused to order a cardiac MRI after my symptoms worsened, claiming it "wasn't justified." I sought a second opinion from a different cardiologist who ordered the MRI immediately based on my symptoms. That scan found a legitimate issue. This office's refusal to investigate serious symptoms was negligent and their clinical negligence regarding medication management is dangerous. If I could give 0 stars, I would. Seek care elsewhere.

I made an appointment with this office and was sent a link to join their patient portal. I logged…read morein and saw that the provider took it upon herself to diagnose me with a condition I don't have based on medication she saw I was taking. When I sent my new patient paperwork in, I mentioned that this made me disinclined to respect or have confidence in them and that I would be irritated right off the bat. I got a call immediately the next morning and the lady was like, "she wasn't diagnosing you, she was just making a note," (tantamount to the same thing!!). This is apparently appropriate because this nurse practitioner has been "doing this for a long time" (whoop-di-do! good for you!). Riiiiight. Furthermore, she made this diagnosis-note based on "looking at some of [my] previous medications," which is FASCINATING seeing as how I never authorized my primary care to release any such information, so now I also have to go on a HIPAA scavenger hunt. Since when is it appropriate to "note" that someone you've never seen has a condition they have not reported? Despite what 99% of physicians seem to think, it is actually not their right OR their job to determine what a new patient's needs and concerns are--it is their job to say "hello, new patient, tell me what your needs and concerns are." Pre-determining the priorities in my appointment immediately sets me up for maltreatment as a patient, and I'm already at a disadvantage as a woman of color because the medical institution routinely and as a matter of implicit policy (believe me--contemporary medical textbooks are objectively and openly racist and sexist and eugenicist) distrusts and disregards women and people of color. She then told me they were "respectfully going to decline to take me on as a patient" and canceled my appointment for the next day. That's right, I called them out for irresponsibly diagnosing me, a perfect stranger, with a condition I don't have and have never had, and instead of apologizing, they said they don't like dealing with disrespectful patients. lol okay. Guess I'll go have a heart attack now. On the other hand, guess I dodged a bullet. Maybe a different cardiologist will actually understand their job.

He maintains eye contact when I'm talking, I feel he is fully present and attentive, and I never feel like he's impatient for me to just shut up so he can go see the next patient. The office staff, however, is a huge problem, and from what I've heard it's a widespread one. I can typically expect to have to make multiple phone calls to get the right information conveyed to my doctor; and even when they write things down there is often missing information, misinformation, etc. I've left messages requesting a call back and it can be days, weeks, or never. I've finally resorted to only dealing directly with the office manager, who seems more able to make sure things get done correctly -- but she shouldn't be having to do other people's jobs as well, so many things she's playing traffic cop for should be able to get done by the people who've been hired to do them. If I could have found another doctor who is as wonderful as Dr. Lokale, who's covered by my insurance, and who's within a couple of miles further away from my house, I would have left a long time ago, but so far Dr Lokale is worth the incredible hassle.

I scheduled for myself in Feb & my daughter in June. Staff told me told to bring her to my appt. I provided my new insurance card & was reassured again at the counter that Dr. Lokale hadn't been loaded into the system yet. 30 days later we received a $700 bill becasue Dr. Lokale is "out of network". They refuse to take any responsiblity in their error & stated that pateints are always told to "check with their carrier before scheduling". No one ever said that and they assured us they were being loaded into the network. Their own website states they handle insurance billing. I wrote a letter to Dr. Lokale explaining why we are having to leave his care, but they refuse to deliver it to him. When I had shingles I called for an appointment , got in 6 weeks later when hey had gone away. Dr. Lokale asked why I didn't come see him sooner and asked if I told the staff I had shingles. I said yes and eve left a message with the PA, he seemed surpirsed. Every appointment takes months to get in to see anyone. Had a growth in my cervic & took 18 months to get an appointment with an OBGYN to read the sonogram report that Dr. Lokale had ordered the year prior. That's how badly it's administered. If your health is important to you, run away from this practice! The doctors are being underserved by their staff.
