I would STRONGLY recommend no one ever visit this location. After more than 4 visits to this Kroger I have learned the manager Jarod, has no problem looking his customers in the eye and telling unbelievable lies that are very easy to check online or with 1 phone call. Mulk, an Indian lady that works at Kroger in Greenville and Exchange at customer services is extremely arrogant, rude, and it is obvious that she doesn't have any knowledge to what she is doing . I was doing a transaction of Western Union, which I normally do every week, so my information and the recipient information are already there in the system. All I had to give her was my telephone number to be able to be found in the system. When Mulk asked me to review my information if it was correct I told her that it was okay, but when I was about to pay I told her that amount wasn't correct. She immediately started muttering that she had to start all over again, that it was my fault for not correcting the paper when she handled to me. She knew people were already upset in the line because she was taking so long, so she wanted to blame me for taking so long. I can heard people in the line started murmuring I told her to find someone who knew how to do the process because I had been there for almost 15 minutes. Mulk, got pretty upset and decided to cancel my transaction and told me to come back later with no other explanation. I asked her "Are you serious ? I let her know that I would report her . I have never seen a person so rude working for this company. Please train that lady on how to treat her customers and do her job. read more

The people at this store were not helpful today. I left a 10.00 box of dog food at the self check early this morning. I realized it about three hours later and with receipt in hand went back to retrieve it. I was told it wasn't turned in and they couldn't help me!!! I realize it was my fault I left it, but my guess is the guy working the self check had already restocked it. Walmart would have said, go get it and have a great day!!! I will drive the few miles more to Walmart from now on. read more

Do yourself a favor and dont use Kroger click list it's a waist of time and you get your groceries 10x by just walking in the store, plus they never have my items and other customers take up my time by order the whole store, like my goodness do you not have any food at home? read more

I went to pump gas today, and noticed an elderly couple waiting to pay cash at the cash window for the Kroger gas station. By the time I pulled to a different pump and finished pumping, they were still waiting and had been for about 10 to 15 minutes. I called the store and after waiting on hold for several minutes, they came back to let me know that they had no idea how there was nobody out there and apparently there was no one to cover the shift. So, I asked what they intended to do and it was essentially that the gas station would be closed to cash paying customers. I let the elderly couple know that the store had no intention of sending anybody out to collect their money. Kroger should not have a cash pay option, if they don't intend to have someone there to accept cash from customers or should at least have the decency to put a sign up to let customers know, so they don't stand around waiting all day! read more

Well I've been here for a few months now, Kroger is till easiest and best grocery store to go to for me, but man they need some better consistency with customer service. You can read my previous review, I bumped them up a star because probably 90% of the time everyone there is very friendly, even the stockers will say "Hello" and offer help if you need it. My latest issues are with the Deli. I like this type of Italian cold cut called Coppa or Capicola, I got it all the time at central market. It's sliced paper thin, has a salty flavor, melts in your mouth, and can be served on Italian bread or eaten with cheese and crackers. The key here is "Sliced PAPER THIN". If it's not paper thin, it ends up chewy and almost impossible to eat. It takes a lot of time, because they have to slice it a little slower to prevent it from shredding up, and the fact that each slice is a fraction of an ounce, getting to a 1/2 pound takes a while. Central market was happy to do it. Kroger is apparently not so happy to do it. First time I got it, I asked them to slice it as thin as possible, it was too thick. Next time I went I asked them to slice it paper thin, the guy there was all exasperated and said "It's gonna shred up if I do that." I said it was OK if it shredded a little, but he still cut it too thick! So I knew at that point that it was possible to slice thinner, he just didn't feel like it. I just left it in a refrigerated display and didn't pay for it. Third time, same thing, cut it thick again! Again I didn't pay for it. Finally on the fourth time I insisted, very clearly & politely, on paper thin, slowly cut. The girl was very annoyed and short with me, she did finally get it paper thin, but rushed through it as fast as she could, slinging shards of meat everywhere. Of course it was very badly shredded to the point where it all stuck together in a large chunk. Pretty much gave up trying to get it from the Kroger deli at this point. Central market does it no problem no complaint. Maybe they're trained on it better since they have a lot of exotic meats? Maybe, but my feeling is that if you sell it, you should be able to slice it properly! Maybe I'm too picky, especially since 90% of the time, everyone is great at this Kroger. But I shouldn't have to put up with that 10% of rude service & lack of willingness to slice my expensive cold cuts properly! To management: either train your people on how to slice Coppa, Prosciutto, & other cured meats properly, or don't sell it at all! read more

THIS Kroger doesn't take shop kick. So I don't even bother looking that direction. Stupid business decision and that's why i go to the one on Bethany. Love this store however, there's a kid who works there by the name of Chase who has got to be the rudest person I've come in contact with in a long time. I asked him a question last night and instead of saying something like, "I'll check on that for you", he turns away and yells to who looked like a manager, " Hey, this girl wants to know how much this costs". I was highly offended as I am not a girl, I am a grown woman, not just that, I am a customer and that, Chase (you little jerk) is NOT good customer service nor is it how you ask a question to your manager. read more

MY store! I love this place! I'm almost always greeted when I walk in, everyone is always more than helpful. I never have a problem finding an employee when I need assistance, and everyone is knowledgeable about where things are. Cashiers are always nice and courteous. Love love LOVE this store! read more

This is a great store that has smiling faces every time I walk in! The store is neat, tidy, and clean as well. I have not had a bad experience shopping here in 7 years. Run of the mill grocery trying to be high-end. They have a Starbucks, a sushi chef, and a drive-thru pharmacy. This location also has it's own gas station that you can receive fuel discounts from spending on your Kroger card. They best thing they installed recently was a way to order your deli meat and cheeses. They type your order in the touch screen and do the rest of your shopping and it is waiting in a bucket near the prepared foods, next to the deli. Saves lots of time standing in line and having to worry whose turn is next. It's the main reason why I shop their now!! read more

Terrible store. The manager accused me of lying, in front of other customers about writing a check there before. I've been going there since they opened and have written many checks over the years. HORRIBLE! I came home and looked at my checkbook. Thousands of dollars spent there. Will find somewhere else to shop, in the future. read more

I've shopped at Kroger for over two years, today while checking out I was told I couldn't use my credit card to pay for my groceries, when the cashier insisted I asked for a manager. The manager told me they stopped taking credit card payments back in February. I know that's not true because I've shopped at this location numerous times. They insisted that they couldn't take my credit card for payment so I finally gave in and used a debit card, which I don't like to use because they are easier to hack. First I'd like to know if this is true and if it is why? I've never heard of anything so ridiculous is my life! I'll be shopping at another store from here on out! Has anyone out there had the same problem? I was at the store today, Monday, November 28th at 3:00 pm(ish). I will pursue this until it is resolved! read more

This is a good Kroger if you don't need the larger Marketplace footprint (and honestly who would shop for some of that stuff at Kroger). The core grocery store is larger than most standard Kroger locations, and the selection/stock is very good. read more

I shop here for our grocery's on a regular basis and I love the Starbucks. I often will make a stop at this Starbucks even when I am going someplace else just because the staff is friendly and do a great job making my special picky drink. On July 8, 2018: One of the machines didn't count my $10 whenever i was paying and so i put in an extra $5 to see if it wasn't really working or it was just me but it stayed at the same number so i called the self check out attendant over and he made a big deal over $15. I just wanted my transaction to go through and my $5 back. And he basically kept saying how this never happens and blah blah blah when i told him i used to work there and this would happen a lot. And the machine literally said there was an ERROR after me putting in my money. So I just asked for the manager and he told him to give me money back which i appreciate so much and the manager was actually nice. I'm only complaining about the self check out attendant. Oh and also he was about to let me walk out with the money he gave me back for the purchases until i realized i still had it and returned it. Imagine if i had just walked away with it. Next time please believe a customer when they say the machine messed up especially with a error sign on the machine popping up after. Maybe quit replacing cashiers with machines and the customer service would be much better. If anything we don't want more machines just better customer service. When I worked here we always had to keep a customer happy no matter what, but now the employees are rude and treat you like a liar. It's so disappointing having worked for this company for a few years just to come back as a customer and be treated like this. I know nothing is going to be done about this but I just wanted to share my thoughts. On August 5th, 2018: your machine took my money again! It took $20 and proceeded to say unavailable on putting in anymore money. and the total number DID NOT even go down when i put in more money, a $20 and then goes on to error mode are you kidding me! and guess what i didn't say anything because i did not want to get treated like a criminal again. Kroger why update your machine to steal our money and then try to say it's US stealing when the goddamn machine is the one doing so. I'm absolutely done shopping at this store. Absolutely done with all the poorly trained employees who blame the customer and not the damn machine when it specifically shows up a ERROR MESSAGE on the machine. After several bad experiences with Kroger ..I promised myself not to go to Kroger anymore. The cashiers are getting pretty "ugly" and it happened more than one time with different people. I do not understand how this good grocery turn out to be bad in a blink of an eye. I rather go to Market Street, although it is farther away from my house. The cashiers are always nice and they help you with your grocery bags. Too bad about Kroger, cos I think they have good sushi and ok products. read more

BEWARE OF THIS KROGER!! They have been selling spoiled food and bad packaged items. Multiple occasions my mom and I found packaged food and drinks with dates dating back four to five months after expiration. The most recent case a package of agave that had expired in May of 2015. They have sold us sour spoiled chicken that we had to return upon opening once we got home. Spoiled seafood that we had to return that we bought from the seafood area upon opening that smelt of high ammonia contents. The most recent case we got sick off of bad crab meat they sold to us that we weren't able to catch this time before cooking. It seems like they have had multiple switches in management. As well over the past six months and the bakery had gone down in quality as well. I warn everyone now before someone gets severely sick and they have a major lawsuit on their hands. I will not be shopping here any longer. We have inform your employees and management of this problem for many months and it doesn't seem like the word is being spread and problems are being solved. You don't care at all for the well being of your customers consuming these items. read more

This Kroger store knocks the ball out of the park. Shopping at this store is such a delight! The store is ALWAYS well stocked, and just about every imaginable food item and food service is available. Everything is always fresh! The bakery has absolutely delicious offerings. The cakes are to die for. All the aisles are clearly marked, and the store is immaculate. If somehow I'm looking for that rare item that most supermarkets in this area don't carry, I invariably find it at this Kroger. The employees are very friendly, and most go out of their way to greet me and help me. The other day I was looking for a particular food item, and one employee walked me to the exact spot where it was. THEN, another employee appeared out of nowhere, and told me about an equally tempting alternative! I like how the Kroger gas station is not only within the immediate vicinity, but also reasonably priced. The wine selection is fantastic, and the sushi bar is super! I have been shopping at this Kroger since it opened many many years ago. I rarely have had any issues with this store, its employees, or its management until recently. Kroger at times will publish good deals on various items they sell. The majority of the time these items have a limit on the quantities one can purchase at a discounted price. There are other times when the discounted price has a minimum number of items to buy with no upper limit listed on the add or even published in the store. Twice over the past 2 months I have had to get management approval to purchase more than, let's say, 8 12 packs of diet sodas when there were on sale at $2.50 each, minimum 4, no limit listed on shelves or in ad. I had one cashier, same one each time, argue with me that there was a limit. The first time, she did not want to call the manager over but did after I insisted and I got the quantities I had in my basket with no issues. I wrote a complaint into Chris, the manager, and he responded that they had worked with this employee to be better. No dice. She repeated this same poor customer service behavior this last visit, and again I called the manager over for the exact same issue of quantities as before. He approved but afterwards, I called him to the front desk to complain about the cashier again. He then stated to me that he was running low on sodas and had implemented his own limit on quantities so he would not run out. I proceeded to argue with him that nowhere in the store did anything state there was a limit and he stated that because other stores are coming over and buying his drinks in bulk when on sale that he had to limit the numbers so they would have enough for other customers. I do understand supply management and this practice is not only frowned upon by corporate but is false advertising. He said the cashier was acting on his direction which I stated to him that he put her in a bad situation and should defer any discussions to management and that her role should be to help her customers get the best deal possible and provide excellent customer service. I plan to write a letter to corporate complaining about false advertising and continued poor customer service. read more
