This Kroger sits on Franklin Road parallel to 65 and anchors a shopping center that also features Petco and First Watch...and at first glance, you'd assume this is your standard Kroger location, but that assumption would be false! This Kroger is the rich uncle of Nashville area Kroger stores, and I am here for it! From the moment you pull in, the grey painted brick tells you this location is next level, then when you enter you are immediately greeted by the large lit "BRENTWOOD" sign atop the fruits/veggies wall. The store has clearly gotten updated in the past few years, but it doesn't seem like the whole thing was done. The inner aisles and registers look to be in line with other stores, however the outer aisles, specialty counters, fruits/veggies, pharmacy and the exterior all appear to be outfitted with the latest flooring and signage. In addition to the updates, the store is quite expansive. I definitely felt like this location has lots more variety of your standard items than other nearby Krogers. Service was friendly. I didn't encounter anyone on the floor from a service perspective, but did notice several employees stocking and straightening things up. The cashier was friendly and efficient. Overall, this is, hands down, my favorite Kroger in the Nashville metro area! The fresh and semi-upscale look combined with the large layout, nice Starbucks, copious amounts of small double-level carts and overall solid vibes make this location a stellar spot for all your grocery needs! read more

Over the past few years I have tried avoiding this Kroger. Yes- it's clean, fully stocked, and the closest store to my home- yet I try my best to stay away! A couple negative people can ruin the experience. The lady that does the balloons and flowers is miserable, if you ask for help (blowing up balloons) be prepared for puffs and puffs and eye rolling. The gentleman that works the self checkout treats you like you're an idiot and is very condescending. They never have lanes open with someone actually checking you out and if they do, you are bagging yourself. This location could be so much better with more people and more positive people! Maybe that's why they are so angry because there's not enough help!?! read more

While I'm not the world's biggest Kroger fan, I can appreciate when a Kroger location is exceptional, and this one all that and more. For me, the mark of an excellent grocery store is the the appearance and the upkeep of the Produce department. Walking in the door near the Produce department is a very colourful, welcoming experience. The produce is well stocked, nicely arranged, and the area is kept very clean. It's not uncommon to see an employee or two tending to the area, making sure it's not just stocked, but stocked and arranged nicely. In fact, this may be the cleanest, most organized Kroger I've ever seen. I've made over a dozen visits in the last year and I've yet to see a box out of place, a jar of broken (anything) in the middle of the aisle, or a broom randomly resting against a shelf. The staff is seems focused and on-point. Whether behind the meat counter, stock shelves, or cashiering, I've never seen someone standing around scrolling or talking on their phones. While I freaking LOATHE self-checkout, if I've only got 2 or 3 scannable items (read that: items that don't need to be weighed or numbered) I'll use it. The one time I did I had a question and the person minding Self Checkout was on the spot, ready to assist The parking lot is generally kept clean and carts (somehow) end up in the cart corrals instead rolling through the parking lot, denting cars. If this Kroger were closer to home (Louisville) I'd definitely shop here regularly. read more

The Rolls Royce of Krogers, the Beverly Hills of Krogers, lol - I lovvvvve coming to this location. It's not close from Franklin, there are several other Krogers in my area that are much closer... but I seriously love everything in this store. I love the light up BRENTWOOD when you walk in, and the brightness, the newness, the cleanness, they literally feel like they have everything in stock including my regular items that are usually out of stock at the others. Everything looks organized with clear price tags, the lines go quick, there's enough staff always helping out. It's all positive to me (except maybe the parking lot, lol). I've been to this store several times recently and the customer service desk has been closed on each visit. The day of the week or the time of the day seem not to matter, it's always closed. Many mistakes are made at checkout and the only resolution is customer service which is apparently non existent. There appears to be no management at this location so reporting this oddity is impossible. Also, the few Kroger employees on the floor are generally rude, disrespectful and of no assistance in any way. Yet, the parking lot is jammed. The residents of Brentwood seem not to care. read more

I have mostly had bad customer service at this Kroger's but their check out clerk Mara just restored my faith in this store! She was courteous and friendly which for one was shocking considering how most the staff here walk around with a blank stare and dont even respond when you say thanks. That is not an exaggeration folks. But she also helped me with an exchange and made it so easy to swap out a product I accidentally purchased for the correct one. Thank you Mara! One of the cleanest Kroger locations I have ever stepped foot inside! Fantastic location with easy parking, although the lot gets a little crowded sometimes. Great selection of products. Shelves are always stocked well, and very fresh produce! There are one or two people I've encountered who clearly hate their job and are always in a mood, but overall customer service is tops. I guess I'm lucky since this place is walking distance for me, so I'm going back whether I like it or not :) read more

This Kroger location is your typical store with the basic necessities: nothing special but also nothing bad about it at all. The thing that surprised me that I've never seen before is that they have a full bar at this location! Super interesting concept but didn't look too popular: I imagine drunk shopping would be hard to do haha. Post Christmas deals are fabulous here! Chocolates, household appliances and so much more. The grocery store is fully stocked with produce, snack foods, hot foods, floral and more. For you Starbucks-obsessed, you'll be happy to find a Starbucks here that has a seating area for you to kick back in. I was pretty disappointed with the restrooms though. Yuck-ola! Gosh, one would think with many staff members that SOMEONE would be in charge of maintaining the restrooms. Go figure. The store is well organized and things are not in a disarray, so it is easy to find things and the signage is great for simple navigation. If you are looking for eats close by, there are plenty of places too within the plaza: Blaze Pizza, First Watch, etc. read more

Selected a cart load of items. Large heavy bulky items as well as frozen and sundry items. Needed casher services. Was told none were available. This has become the norm here. Deli meat and fish counters close between 4 and 5 Stock is never rotated forcing you to crawl on the floor to look for items. At 65 years old I think it's time to look for a better store. read more

This store has disappointed me several times. Last night the produce entrance was closed at 7:00! The open entrance was the less often used entrance at the other end of the store. I have shopped at three different Williamson Co. Krogers, and this is the worst grocery experience, I've had in a long time. This store looked more like a wearhouse, with products still in cardboard shipping boxes, items in disarray on the shelves, and there were many empty shelves, (maybe due to last weeks' snow storm?). Similar items were located throughout the store, creating an inefficient waste of time for the busy shopper, to search them out, and make the best selections. Cleanliness didn't seem to be a priority at this store as well. The only reason I'll go back to shop at this location, is in hopes management will seek to improve and upgrade, their shopping experience. I wish them luck. read more

This place is pristine. Not surprising given it is in Brentwood. They have an olive bar, full cheese area and a wine bar you can sit and have a drink at in the alcohol aisle. It's laid out different just as each Kroger is, however he checkout lines weren't nearly as atrocious as the ones in Nipper's Corner location. Good selection of produce, beer options and even really well stocked shelves in a Sunday afternoon. I was able to find a cheese that they don't carry at the one near my home, so this is my stop on Sundays after a workout. read more

I'm currently writing this angrily in the parking lot because once again they're closed early. This location used to be open until 11pm, then 10pm. Now I show up at 9:15pm and it's closed. read more

The last time I went in, it was for some last-minute baking stuff. I noticed strawberries on sale 2 for $4 (with Kroger card). When I went to check out, none of my phone numbers linked up with a card. The cashier didn't offer to help. She didn't offer me a card. She didn't offer to get a manager. She just laughed. And charged me full price for the strawberries. It's why I'll shop at Publix. No cards. No games. Kroger lost a customer over $4. I had to fly on an airplane with a cold. Oh, it was painful and miserable. I fly into BNA, my dad picks me up at the airport, I get to my parents' house and realize there is no way I'm going to be able to go to sleep without some NyQuil. My parents don't have any. I grab the car keys and drive over to Kroger. It's around 12:45 AM. The parking lot was pretty empty. Uh oh. I get out of the car and take a few steps. There's a group of Kroger employees sitting outside taking their break. One of them says, "I'm sorry, but we're closed." "Oh no. Is Walgreen's open?" "No, I don't think so. I think Harris-Teeter is closed too. The Kroger over on Edmonson Pike is open." "Edmonson Pike? Where is that?" He starts to give me directions and then he says, "What exactly do you need?" "Cold medicine." "Aw, come on in." Can you believe that?! He got the keys out and opened the door for me. They were busy waxing the floors and he had to turn the self-checkout machines back on for me to use. read more

Kroger's has some great deals & their online app is convenient & easy to use. It's also a great place to grab a beer or glass of wine at the bar. The bartenders are super friendly & helpful. My family loves the Kroger online shopping and drive up pick up. They really do a great job with that and they make sure that the quality of the food that they select is first rate. Alternatively... I ran into the store today and with the butcher's help, selected 2 ribeye steaks that looked fantastic! To my dismay, when we went to eat them, they were some of the toughest steaks I've ever encountered. Not what I would expect from $15/ lb angus ribeye. My wife and I have been coming here for a while now and get okay service. Most of the cashiers have no emotions or are pretty slow. Tonight was the icing on the cake tho. This kid names Isaiah was our cashier tonight and had no emotion on his face, was very slow and would just throw items into bags. When it was our turn he didn't even greet us. He continued to check us out with out speaking. When it came time to bagging our groceries he just let them sit there and expected us to bag them. He acted as if it was an inconvenience to him. I've thought about writing this the last couple times I've been there, then was like, "eh, not worth the time..." but today took the cake so here goes Krappy Kroger. Over the past 6 months I have been there at least once or twice a week for convince sake when I need something "quick" since I started working nearby. I try to tell myself I'll just take a few minutes to pop in and out, and it never ever happens that way. There are a ton of other office buildings and lots of people come here on lunch break so you would think they would jump at that chance to make a decent profit; but they don't seem to care about products or services. They NEVER have enough staff at the lunch counter and it takes over 15 minutes for a sandwich sometimes; I have ordered one and went to the salad bar and produce section and came back just to save time, or take my food to the self checkout at the front. There is normally just 1 very slow person who works as the preparer and cashier If they do occasionally have a dedicated person for prep and another for cashier, both the order and checkout lines get backed up from them moving at a glacial pace. And a couple times in the past I thought if I came after typical lunch hours there wouldn't be a line, so I did... And there was no one at the lunch counter to place an order even though it was open. One time the associates on the other end near the deli meats looked at me, looked around for someone to help, then kept on doing something else. Thanks for the help guys! They also never have sauce packets for anything (ketchup, mustard, etc.), just some weird dipping sauce flavors. They also offer "fresh pizzas" (and bake them in an oven right behind the deli). No, they are not even close to fresh. They either make them, or probably defrost them, and leave them sitting behind a glass pane all day. I regretted ordering one immediately when I realized the ones sitting there in open air unrefrigerated weren't just for display. So you have to chose your bacteria marinated pizza to throw in the oven (not sure why I have to pick which one I want considering I already told them my order). The associate seemed confused when I was like "any one that has the toppings I ordered would be fine" and she replied, "but which one of these 4 from the kind you ordered do you want?" That can't be sanitary to have them reaching over the other people's pizza if someone wants the one in front of it (which is why I picked the one in the very front). The look on my face probably scared her. How could that be safe to eat if you leave them at room temperature? Wouldn't a grocery store know that some types of food must be kept cold and covered to prevent bacteria growth? They don't leave the take and bakes that way, so why would it be different for the others exactly? It was just a bizarre concept. Oh, and it tasted terrible and wasn't heated all the way through. Every time I have to go to the service desk no one is there to be a cashier, or one person that is slow as Christmas and often rude. And there is a line every time. Sometimes just one person in line in front of me takes 5+ minutes to be assisted first because they are doing other things or are just incompetent. They've nailed the deer in headlights look. It's also really unprofessional how associates gather there to chit chat or just stand around not helping anyone... while looking at me crazy if I ask if they could ring me up. I'm guessing they have a break room behind there so they come out to people watch (or hit on each other like what happened today) before getting back in the clock, not sure. I don't do my regular shopping here, but the few times I've went to get a few items they didn't even have them in stock. How shocking. Which brings us to today. I come in to grab a sandwich from the grab-and-go section and ask for Caesar dressing for my Caesar wrap. Of course they have none and I'm directed to the salad bar and get a tiny ramekin of dressing. I go up to the service desk for tobacco and there was one rude lady working that was trying to help another customer and she couldn't find the dip he was looking for so he says "forget it" and leaves. So as she's ringing me up and sees my salad dressing she rudely says I have to weigh it and chuckles about it. Uh... what? I explain they have no packets and was advised to get the dressing at the salad bar. She says, "I don't know who told you it was free but they are totally wrong". Ok... It's a teeny tiny plastic cup with dressing. Then I'm directed to the self checkout where I weigh this cup and surprisingly it even registered on the scale. For SIX CENTS. This place has one redeeming quality. It's close to my work. But you know what else is close? About 50 restaurants, pharmacies, and gas stations to choose from. QUICK AND EASY! This Kroger is absolutely huge and it is evident as soon as it comes into view. It is very long. It started as a basic Kroger but was obviously renovated to become a more efficient and convenient store with a made-to-order pizza station, fresh sushi, salad bar, olive bar, made-to-order sandwiches, the regular selection of prepared foods and seafood, natural and organic offerings, a floral shop, a Starbucks, and the great surprise of all, a Craft Beer Growler Bar. Yes, I said Growler bar, check out the photos. Normally, this is the place where I love to purchase wings. However, since they have downsized to the micro-wing and started sitting their wings in liquid, I no longer purchase from Kroger. As I looked around the store I noticed that the aisles, (particularly the Christmas aisle and produce section) looked well stocked. Today, it was all about the delicious donuts and bottled water. The only redeeming thing about this Kroger was its floral department...until now. Rude doesn't even begin to describe the people working it. I inquired about a corsage the woman said "we don't have the supplies and don't do them." Not true -when I spoke with the floral manager she said they are too much work for her. Lazy and rude. Wow. No surprise, since this is Kroger is in Brentwood - but this store is nice. It's spacious. And clean. And bright. And it has TONS of vegetarian/vegan/gluten-free/otherwise healthy alternative products. And lots of parking. The produce looked great, and the seafood looked really fresh! This store seemed to have everything - and it's really big! I think this Kroger will make it into my normal rotation! read more

Don't ever try to return anything here. Peter would not accept our kroger account and insisted on receipt only. Kroger employees have accepted our kroger account for returns plenty of times. It was only a bag of brand new unopened cat litter. Our beloved cat of 18 years passed and we no longer have need for it. He was incredibly rude and talked down to both me and my sweet mother. I was walking into the store at 10:52pm to grab a quick thing that I needed for the next day, and when I was walking in the employee named Richard asked my friend "What are you doing here" we responded to his rudeness and told him we had to grab one quick thing. He angrily told us that they were closing. I have worked in customer service and I understand that people coming in before closing is extremely irritating, but the way he spoke to us was very unprofessional. We grabbed the bread we needed and were out by 10:57pm. However, while we were checking out, he was huffing and sighing while we scanned our items. We moved and were closest to Publix but now live close to this Kroger. I've tried it several time because of the proximity but it is always dirty and has the worst customer service. Lines are always SO long, cashiers have the worst attitude and are amazingly slow, and, if you can get someone to bag your groceries, consider yourself lucky. Even if they bag them, never expect them to offer to carry them out. The only time I go here now is to run in and grab a few items and go to self check out. We moved here a year ago and always had the best experience with Click list at our old store. It's not just COVID affecting it; I've consistently waited 20+ minutes for my pick up for the last year at the Brentwood location. And there's always several items listed as out of stock on my receipt but if I go inside the store the items are always on the shelf. read more
