Vain people writing these bad review stop blaming the grocery stores employees lack of intelligence for problems you can't fix. When you clearly know its the economy, lack of, and recession causing all this chaos. I'm guessing most the complaints are from people from the x generation who expect change to improve. This krogers feels like heaven compared to others in other towns. There are always baggers at this location. They also carry an organized system where items look stocked on shelves, always friendly smiles, and plenty of help, cashiers, and someone at service desk. On the other hand, the Krogers near me seems to have a negative virus. Its like no one cares. This is why most are being replaced with self checkout robots. Cashiers are mean or grouchy, no one at service desk, and finding old food on shelves expired or wrong tags. There are more workers blocking aisles doing ecart checks causing major traffic jams inside. Grandview location will always be my favorite memory. Some people take freedom for granted. I am grateful that we have workers who continue to push on despite this failing economy. read more

When I got home they only gave me .70 cents off..Kroger has been in investigated for inaccurate pricing and over charging. Do not trust this store. read more

I have shopped at this Kroger, fairly regularly, for 20 years, and it has gone from one of the best locations to one of the worst. There clearly are not enough competent employees about, and the store has done everything possible to make checking out a longer and more agonizing experience. They put in six self-checkout lanes (1-6), but 90% of the time they are not available. They had six others next to those, and made the incomprehensible decision to remove three of them and replace it with one self-checkout with a belt. Every time I have been in this store in the last few years to get just a few things, the checkout lines regularly stretch to the back of the store, all the way down the grocery aisle. Checkout is the main issue but it's not the only one. Their prices are not competitive, the drive-in/pickup process is essentially broken, they removed the handheld "pay as you go" scanners, and the quality and selection are markedly the worst they've ever been. In a word, the fall of the Chambers Road Kroger has been 'meteroic'. I hate this place now. read more

I love shopping and this Kroger since it has the gas available to it and I know a couple of the workers. The word must have got out about this location because it is busier nowadays now the college is in session and a quite a few people moving here. I like the way this Kroger always has everything I need when it comes to almond milk, meat, and vegetables. It's relaxing to shop here since it is a one-stop shop. Ladies and Gets, I am a long time giant Eagle fan living in short north...does anyone else feel the sale price is not worth the harassment. I legit rarely go to Kroger but they had a sale on scallops and I had to take advantage of the price and therefore made three trips...I bought few other things since I was in the presence of a grocery store but worst experience of my life...customers were a bit rude. Never really noticed this one was here. I don't get over here too often, and it is kinda tucked away. Les R. recommended it, and it was handy when I was running errands. Clean, quiet, well-organized. Not too small or too big. We were able to find what we needed easily. It was a quick trip, to restock cold stuff after a power outage, and it was easy and fun. For some reason Kroger lots always have issues, and this isn't bad but has some huge potholes up front. Hopefully fixed when the weather turns. A pleasant trip, easy access to roads and surrounding neighborhoods, not too far from 315. I'll keep this one in mind. read more

This is my usual grocery store, but it's not my favorite. This Kroger's pick-up department is horribly managed. My pick-up orders are almost always late, which throws off dinner plans and agendas. It's frustrating to be given a specific window that then isn't followed, and there's no compensation for their lateness. Most recently I was told my order would be an hour and half late, which set my new pick-up window for a time that I would not be available. I always get the excuse of Kroger being understaffed, but in my experience, workers are less likely to call off if they're satisfied with their work. If you're chronically understaffed, consider upping your staff numbers and treating them better. The staff have generally been really polite and sweet, so I don't blame them for being mismanaged. If Kroger can't afford to hire more workers, then maybe they should put a cap on this service. I don't plan on using it again after today without changes. read more

I have placed pickup orders on back to back weeks and had to have both of them cancelled because they moved them to an entirely different day. This is absolutely beyond unacceptable. After placing the orders around 10am both Sundays, and choosing the 6pm pickup time, they have been unexpectedly delayed to Monday around 30 minutes before I had intended to pick them up. As a busy student, who also works, it is not feasible for me for to pickup in the middle of a weekday, and this has lead to great inconvenience and frustration. Upon calling customer service both weeks, I was meet with extreme rudeness and unprofessionalism. The explanation given was 'you should not order pickup orders on the weekend, we are too busy'. If the option doesn't work, then why is it available on the app? And if this is the case, why are orders 'unexpectedly' delayed only 30 minutes before expected pickup? This is extremely unprofessional and disappointing, and father offering no compensation or apology is absolutely unacceptable. Kroger absolutely needs to do better, and hire better! read more

PickUp Order - This was the first time scheduling and using the Kroger Grocery PickUp. This location is one of my favorite Kroger stores in the city so decided to try this service. It was so easy. I just added to the cart everything I wanted in the app and picked a day and time that was convenient. I did not have any meat, dairy, or produce as those are things I personally don't want anyone else picking out for me. A helpful hint is I chose to not allow any substitutions. I wanted the items I ordered and that was it. If it wasn't in stock and didt want their next best guess as I heave heard mixed reviews on that. When I was heading out for pick up I selected I am leaving now and put an estimated time of arrival on the app. When I got there I followed the signs, parked in one of the 10 designated spaces and checked in on the app with my space number. In less than 5 minutes I had my groceries in the back and headed home. I spent more than $35 so the fee was waived. Easy to spend $35 with current prices and items I choose. Only downside is due to demand I was unable to order for pick up same day but today worked just fine. I love to shop and especially for certain items and to see what else I might pick up, but I see a the value here. It was a great, simple, no contact experience, saved time, and I didn't spend more money than I needed too! read more

I went up to the Customer Service desk and was getting lottery tickets out of my wallet and looking for my receipt on my phone when a lady with long black hair named Eve came up to the desk. I said Hi - I need to cash in some lottery tickets and return a few items. Eve, sighs loudly clearly annoyed that she has to do her job. Following conversation below: Me: I hand her my lottery tickets and continue to look for my receipt for items to return on my phone Eve: "Do you have your receipt?" first thing she says to me after her sigh - no greeting Me: "Yes, I'm looking for it now it's on my phone" Eve: Loudly and slowly, "And you are sure you purchased these items from this store?" Me: "Yes" ( Me thinking to myself, I know where I purchased the items that I have receipt to) Eve: Hands me my lottery money Me: Places my phone down in front of her with my digital receipt, "Here's my receipt" Eve: Scrolls through my phone, then says very condescendingly "Ohhh, this receipt is older than 30 days and we don't take returns past 30 days" Me: "Oh, ok did your policy change recently?" Eve: "Oh no, it's been like that for years" Me: "Ok" I start to gather my stuff to leave Eve: As I'm gathering my stuff - she walks to the back of the customer service desk removes a plaque from the wall and slides it across the desk to me and very rudely points to the policy, "See it says right here 30 days you can't return items past 30 days". Me: In shock that she is being this demeaning to me when I'm not even arguing about the return - "Thanks" Eve: Silent - walks away - no thank you, sorry about that, have a good day - NOTHING I don't know what her problem is but at least she should not be working in customer service. I don't think I have ever been that disrespected before. She was gearing for a fight the moment I stepped up to that counter she had an attitude. I don't even care that I couldn't return the products. I wasn't demanding a refund at all. You can probably watch the cameras to see our interaction - not sure if there is audio, but if there is I would listen to it. I complained to a manager named Alex - I don't know if he did anything - he said would talk to her. Time on receipt 4:46pm date 1/20/25 Transaction #: 942 30 47 469 - receipt attached. I'm still in shock that you have this person with ZERO customer service skills working a customer service desk. Also, a lot of your employees, mainly the front ends, just stand around and do nothing - including Eve. How have I not left a review for this Kroger yet?! It's seriously my go-to! While sitting in an awkward position off Chambers and Northstar roads, it may be weird to get to but it's worth it. The gas station is what I notice first and I LOVE that they have Kroger gas here. This isn't super common at the other Krogers in the area so if I'm in need of gas, I'll make it a priority to come here. Once inside, this Kroger is really nice and it's easy to see that it's been updated recently. Pro tip - They offer the Scanbag Go option, which allows you to skip the checkout line. I tend to work my way around Kroger, starting in the produce section. They tend to always have what I'm looking for and it's rather fresh. As I make my way over to the right of the store, I always check out their selection of Murray's cheese. The little baskets of small portions allow you to experiment with new-to-you cheeses and I love it. They also have a small cafe area near the Starbucks which is great for enjoying coffee, having a meeting, grabbing lunch, etc. For my fellow vegetarian friends, they do have the new Kroger vegetarian meat product and while I haven't tried it yet, I appreciate that they have it here along with the other options. Whenever I get to the check out, it seems to go pretty quickly. Whether I do the self checkout or the normal lanes, I'm never left standing forever. The staff here is also really great and I'm glad to call this my "home" Kroger location. read more

I haven't been inside this location for years and my most recent experiences have been with ordering online and doing curbside pickup. This is the closest location to my house which offers curbside pickup and I've been rather pleased with it. Customers have been polite and haven't jammed up the parking spots all trying to pick up their items at once. When I call to let them know I've arrived they don't sound rushed but they show up fairly quickly. The Kroger employee always comes out with the receipt and notes which items weren't available or were substituted. read more

This is my go-to Kroger as I live in the area. The Krogetto is actually a bit closer but this one has definitely been a better experience...until the past few months. I am devastated to give my previously favorite store a bad review but I could not be any more disappointed. The past few months has not been good to this location. There must be turnover with management or an outside issue as problems seem to plague this store. Usually there are little to no carts when you walk in. Recently they have had an issue with keeping shelves stocked and full of fresh items. There is an employee issue as well, it seems as though they are understaffed and must be stressed out. Lately the service desk has been closed at various hours, way before closing time at 9PM. I have been yelled at and treated disrespectfully at this store as well. I am going to avoid this store as much as I can, as shopping here has become such a stressful experience. You should too. Not only can we give these employees less people to help but you can reduce your stress levels by going elsewhere. DON'T EVER USE KROGER INSTA-CART IT IS A SCAM They added $2.27 to my bill and I called and asked why and they said it was in case I forgot an item and added it later. I asked, what can you buy for $2.27? And they said they usually add $10 to $15, they don't know why it was only $2. They said it usually gets credited back to you in 5-7 business days. They say you can adjust your tip for 24 hours after you get your order but it turns out it's only the first 2 hours AND you can only adjust it higher NOT LOWER. They forgot an item and will not refund the cost - they will only give you a credit to use on your next order with them. read more

Pathetic store. Super long lines, lots of bare shelves, broken registers, and sale prices are often not the scanned prices- always more. Parking lot is weird- it meanders all over the place. The main entrance is the worst- must have been designed by a blind person. Intersection at Northwest Blvd. is beyond bizarre. I was in a pinch this morning and needed balloons for a coworker whose is celebrating their last day. I called this Kroger late last night and the person told me to find Barb this morning. Well I came in and found Barb, and she helped recruit Heather from produce to help me fill up some balloons. They both couldn't have been nicer during the entire experience, keep in mind it's 6am so not everyone is in a great mood. As Barb is helping me check out, I told her Heather couldn't have been nicer this morning. She informed me that Heather had been here all night! And she was still fantastic to work with. I had to take the time to review, based on my experience grocery shopping today. I was blown away at the level of service and friendliness by employees today! Honestly, no less than 5 employees smiled and looked me in the face, offering me a kind hello and/or offering assistance while I poked around the store. The lovely woman working the self check-out happily answered a question I had and was very friendly and courteous. This kind of service is rare and was unexpected in the best way possible. Not happy at all with this Kroger. I pick up orders for a lady that is disabled. On my way to her house she informs me that the order won't be ready until 5:00 pm. After I check in, I am informed it won't be ready until 6:00 pm. This is all automated. Then the lady call me to let me know the order is not going to be ready until the next day. Remember the order was put in two day's ago. Meanwhile I see lots of other people picking up orders all around us. I go inside to enquire. Nice young girl helped us, inside. We were informed that this is all automated and the store has no control over this. So now I direct my attention to the business. Really is this how you run this. COVID started over a year ago. You have had enough time to get the bugs out of the system. The orders are messed up every time. This lady is allergic to berries. It's on the orders. And yet you managed to screw that up as well. Because when it was ordered three days ago what she ordered was in stock, and it was not perishable. It's off the shelf for goodness sake. I did wait until the the order was picked and brought out. Twenty minutes later. For those keeping track that was almost two and a half hours after it was promised. (Not the young ladies fault) Luckily you did not charge her a fee. This is a good Kroger location. There is plentiful parking and a gas station outside, and when you head inside, there are a lot of amenities, including a Starbucks, a bank, the pharmacy, and a nice set-up with the ready-to-eat foods, deli, and bakery. The store is a nice size, allowing for a compromise between having a good selection of items while not being giant. The staff is friendly and helpful. They offer curbside pick-up, in addition to in-store shopping. You can also bring your used plastic grocery shopping bags for recycling - the bins are located near the grocery cart area at the front of the store. They have a nice floral selection too, including some pretty bouquets for only $4-10, which I enjoy getting too. It's worth a stop if you're nearby and need to grab something from a grocery! read more

wow, in the past week we have now found 5 items that were spoiled or rotten that we purchased from this Kroger location, 2 salmon fillets, a pork tenderloin loin, goddess dressing, and a container of macademia nuts, and some gouda with mold spots under the wrapper. We have also had a couple other random things in the past pop up that were past edible from here before, but thought it was just an accident, including a package of pork chops. Update: just when you thought it couldn't get any worse they have implemented a border around the parking lot and once you hit the border your cart becomes inoperable. The problem is they didn't include the entire parking lot lol! So you push your cart full of groceries out and suddenly the wheels lock in the middle of the road and you have to unload your groceries into your car from 20 feet away from your car. It's comical!! Then you can't even push the cart back to the cart corral so there are locked up abandoned carts all over blocking the road and parking spots. WHO RUNS THIS PLACE?!?! read more

As my local kroger i love to come here, produce is always good and wide selection of items. but the long haired brunette girl working the check out -savannah maybe?- have some more patients, i get it's busy and but asking me the same question over and over on top of rushing me to pack my groceries and squishing my produce, and before i'm even done, going about someone else's items down the belt, is not the answer. This is my favorite grocery store in this area. It's always clean, the employees are friendly, and they have a good variety of products. I also appreciate that there is a gas station in the parking lot as well - very convenient! I do agree with other reviewers that sometimes they run out of things - especially when you go during a busy time - which can be a bit frustrating. Still, it's a very popular Kroger so I can understand why that happens and they seem to be very good at restocking within a day. The main thing that takes this from a 5 to 4 star review is their curb side pick up service - I haven't used the service itself but the big carts they have to use in store to gather the items are difficult to navigate around in their narrow aisles. I know the store is limited in space to really expand the width of the aisles, but it can be frustrating to be stuck behind one of the big carts squeezing past other customers. For the location this Kroger is in, it is usually busy. Environment is usually pleasant, and the place is generally well kept! When mask mandates were placed on the door of the store, it was obvious that there were customers blatantly ignoring these mandates. I see customers not complying with the mask mandates, yet there is nothing being done about it. I realize, these conversations are difficult to have; however, non-compliance is that customer's choice. If they are non-compliant, they should be offered a mask, or sent out the door. read more

I tried for the last time to shop at this Kroger location. My blood pressure goes up every time I shop here. Nothing has changed since the last time I attempted to shop here. This visit I attempted early Sat morning around 9:00 am thinking I'd beat the crowd and it would be an enjoyable shopping experience.....WRONG. No carts as usual....back out to the lot to grab a cart. People stocking shelves and shoppers for pickup orders were everywhere. Blocking aisles and just plain rude. Many items not available. Then for the dreaded checkout. One check-out register with an actual employee and 5 self-checkout registers. It was early morning and the self-checkout line was half way to the back of the store. Needless to say several of my items rang up wrong. I ended up at the customer service desk. An experience I'm not even going to go into.
