Here's a sentence I never thought I'd say: "I got my leggings from Kroger." But, you guys! This Kroger in Fishers has a clothing department! And they have some decent athletic wear, from what I saw. And yes, I did buy some leggings from a grocery store, so go ahead and judge me, if you want. But just know that being able to buy leggings and bacon and a gallon of milk all in one trip feels fabulous. This Kroger is relatively new. I actually frequent a different Kroger, and the person ringing me up at the different Kroger told me to visit this Kroger, because she loves it so much. I think its's great, too! If you've been to the Kroger in Carmel, then you'll be familiar with the layout, somewhat. But I think this store goes above and beyond, because of the clothing department and also the toy section. The aisles are wide, the shelves are nicely arranged, and everything is in its right place. I was able to find what I needed quickly, which was nice. The whole point of my trip to this specific Kroger having driven past another Kroger on 116th, and not for the first time, was to get the deliciously decadent raspberry cupcakes in the bakery, I am told they no longer make them. Buy one get one prices are usually adjusted so that they raise the buy one price in order to cover the get one free part of the deal. 2. Prices are frequently mispriced on shelf tags compared to what is being rung up. 3. This location at 116th and Cumberland was not my go to. I would rather go to the 116th and Olio rd up the street but since they renovated it and added on I like this much better. Not too big now, friendly staff, they actually know me by name in the bakery, cheese shop and check out which is either cool or I spend way too much time there. I Love a lot about this location, but their meat department is definitely lacking in the customer service area. I used to go to the Kroger on Binford and they had the most friendly and attentive staff behind their meat counter. However, now that we have moved to this area, we have noticed the staff here seems to be more interested in the behind the counter jobs than serving their customers who come to buy fresh meat from the butcher. You always have to wait for a while and sometimes they just ignore that you're there. Then when they finally notice you, it's like they would rather do any thing else than help you. Kroger is our favorite grocery store, this is our go location. The main reason we like Kroger is the low prices and the Kroger rewards card. If you use the reward card enough, you get discounts on gas prices, as well as mailed top customer coupons. Those savings can really add up, if you pay attention and do things smartly. Overall, the employees are nice at this store, but sometimes with the boom of online shopping and pickup, it has made this store much more difficult to navigate because the employees picking up order push these huge carts that always seem to be in the way. We still enjoy shopping here, but have definitely had a few bad experiences lately, but we will still be coming up for the savings. read more

This particular store has single-handedly restored my faith in Kroger! I have avoided Kroger for the last few months due to poor service. I happened to be near this one having lunch, and stopped in to pick up something. I was completely surprised at how friendly and helpful the employees were! I was greeted when I entered the store, employees smiled at me, and several times I was asked if I needed any help. It sounds silly to say, but this has not been my experience at either of the two Krogers that are closer to my house. I went back today to pick up something and had the exact same experience! People were friendly, they genuinely cared and helped. I will go out of my way to come to this location. The people are great, the store is clean, and it was very well-stocked. After forcing me to work your checkout by only having one lane that was attended, I once again had to wait an extra several minutes for one of your employees to rifle through my purchases to once again find that I had scanned every item. This is the dirtiest store I've been in but the customer service is even worse than the filth. Tried to return unopened vitamins without receipt. I told her it was half price which is the lowest price they sell. She said they don't sell one at a time and I said the other bottle we opened and didn't like. I didn't return since it was opened. She refused and was the front store manager. So I had to leave with the product and return it at my normal store. The rudest person I have ever encountered. The next time I was there, the price was wrong on an item and They wouldn't honor the sale even though the sign was there! Someone needs to fire management and retrain employees. The pharmacy just keeps getting worse! They "follow the law regarding controlled substances" but can not explain the law. The pharmacist Lisa explained to exactly how an insured patient needing an rx for controlled cough syrup would be treated differently than a patient without insurance. Lisa explained with insurance she could get a PA for the rx from the prescriber however an uninsured patient would not be able to get a pa (due to no insurance) and their prescription for controlled cough syrup would not be filled until 30 days is up. When I asked questions to understand the law Lisa said she was done talking to me and HUNG UP ON ME. Very professional Lisa I've been getting prescriptions filled here over 15 years and the service has gone from great!! To terrible!!! However Sandi/Erin techs and another Pharmacist (I don't remember her name long dark hair) are great!! read more

It's a Kroger. You get groceries here. What makes this stand out from other grocery stores. Well..... I'm a tech junkie, and I love the direction Kroger is going with he Scan And Go scanners. I like being able to walk through the isle, scanning what I drop in my cart, hitting the pay button as I'm walking past all the other technophobes. Only issue with I have with this location in particular is that the "pay function" never works. It works fine at the 146th & Hazel Dell, but I always have to do one extra step as I'm trying to leave. The frustrating thing is that any employee doesn't seem to believe me when I say it works at other Kroger. They look at me sideways like I'm making it up. All in all, it's my go to grocery store for general goods. read more

There are a lot of grocery stores near me in Fishers. This Kroger is my favorite big grocery. They newly renovated and added a lot of great things! There is a gas station which is right on 116th and with Kroger points the gas prices get pretty competitive with Costco and are certainly less than the other station nearby. They have a nice cafe area upstairs and have added all kinds of ready to eat foods; street tacos, chicken, freshly made pizza, sushi so it's great that they have more space to sit and eat. There is a Starbucks inside as well as a full service florist with quality, long lasting flowers. Its especially nice that they have some bulk items for those who want to make their own floral arrangement. The store is well laid out and my new favorite grocery thing is scan, bag and go! It's GREAT! I use canvas or thermal reusable bags, get them all ready in the cart and then as I shop everything goes into the correct bag. No one else touches my produce , because how annoying is it that I spend a long time picking perfect apples and avocados only to have the cashier all but throw them down the conveyor belt to the teenager who puts them on the bottom of the bag under the 5 lb bag of flour . Gone are the long lines too, you walk up to the self checkout, scan the bar code on the machine, it reads your order from your handheld device. And even if the Kroger employee in the self checkout is busy they come right away if you need help because the machine will only hold your order for three minutes so they have to prioritize you! Win win!!! The other Kroger in the area doesn't have it yet so I'll be headed to 116th and Cumberland to do my shopping as much as I possibly can in the future. read more

Been coming to this Kroger for a while , purchased baby formula , brought it out through the pick up parking , when I got home I realized the seal was broken and naturally I didn't trust it, took it back to them for an exchange and their policy is that they won't exchange it ! My husband just went to pick up his Rx from this Kroger. While he was getting his Rx, he asked the person if they could also grab some OTC supplements for him. To his surprise, they responded "NO, I can't do that." Any other pharmacy has no problem doing this for their customers. I'm not sure if they were just being lazy or if it's a company policy. Either way, it is an inconvenience and we won't use Kroger's pharmacy again because of this. read more

It's always nice to visit the last of the true grocery stores. This is not a box store like Walmart or Meijer's. I was still able to find items here not available in the box stores. Don't know if it's because there's a "Fresh Market" across the street so they've had to step up their game or what, but I finally found a grocery store in Indy that I can get behind. The people there were so helpful. Saw someone helping a lady with wine pairings. Saw someone getting fresh sushi made to order. Heard someone being asked if they needed help. And I was helped in the bakery swiftly and by the sweetest lady. While waiting for her to print out the price label another person asked me if I was being helped. SO great. Also despite being in the midst of Fishers no rudeness about my hair color or dress. Marsh, please take note! Also the prices are cheaper than Marsh and I am not compromising my morals/ethics by going to Wal-Mart. Wins all around. I used to shop at the Fresh Market across the street. I'm just shopping for me, and I don't buy many prepared/packaged food, so Fresh Market was a good fit, though I always knew it was struggling. When it closed, I jumped to this Kroger as, like Fresh Market, was only 5 minutes from my house. At first I was pleasantly surprised at the cheaper prices, and surprised by the things I could find. That's long since changed. I hate this place. NOTHING is ever stocked, across every department, and across multiple days. I hate wasting my time, it should not take multiple trips or different stops to get what I need. Stocking only appears to happen at night. Quality. I'm usually buying organic if I can. When produce is stocked, I've found old organic potatoes and moldy limes. Whoever runs this store just needs fired. Horrible. read more

This is a great Kroger! I often go here for lunch because of their huge selection! Their salad bar is really good and I have always enjoyed the premade sandwiches that they offer in the deli. I have had these multiple time and they are fresh and full of meat! If I ever had leftovers my family also enjoys it! They offer sushi, hot bar, multiple soups, fried chicken, pizza, Starbucks and so much more that I can't even remember! These are all ready to go warm and fresh or you can prepare your own to go container. I love the cheese bar where they always have samples! I have gotten a few great ideas for appetizers that I have actually used when I had company. They have a great selection of fresh vegetables and fruit. They are constantly restocking their shelves throughout the store which makes me feel like they are always putting out the newest items even if it is canned or processed. My husband and I went to this Kroger to pick up items for dinner. It was about ten minutes until six in the evening when we approached the meat counter and found Courtney in the process of un-stocking the meat counter, so my husband says "are you guys closing already?" and Courtney's reply was "that's a stupid question, what does it look like I'm doing!" My husband was shocked and said "are you serious?" and her reply again was "that's a stupid question." He was so upset that he was shaking. I was also shocked I'd never heard any employee speak with a customer like that and I couldn't believe it was happening at a reputable store like Kroger. We looked for a manager and there was a young man that seemed to not really know how to deal with the situation and advised us to call the manager in the morning. If your looking to get a money order from this location, or go into the customer service line.. just don't , I was told "we don't do money orders". After standing in the customer service line for over 30 mins with no one at the desk, multiple employees walking past just looking at me.. asked 2 different employees if I can get some help over here& still stood there for another 15 mins waiting. Finally once a manager came over , I nicely told the manager on duty .."well online it's a listed service you offer" after she told me they don't do them. She replied with, "is there anything else you need?" So I said "yes I need a money order since it's a service you offer" she then got very rude & told me "we are understaffed so I can NOT get you a money order" after that I started to walk away & she mumbled something under her breathe. That's fine , I called corporate which I've never done before with a business.. well known or not. Never had to go the corporate route. Reported the "lady" to corporate & that's that. If your to "understaffed" to provide a service you are supposed to offer, put up signs, post it online etc. Hell my job is understaffed just like the rest of America & we don't decline services that we OFFER. I've had nothing but issues with this location since moving out here a few years ago. I'd rather travel down to Oilo location or Allisonville than deal with rude ass employees. read more

Kroger is a very community friendly place. Kroger is a big grocery store, there is a eating lounge, a Starbucks, a pharmacy, a flower shop, a bakery, and a deli. Just recently, they added a fast food restaurant called Cluster Truck. Although I have not eaten there yet, I know that they added iPads so you can order yourself. I appreciate them for doing this because it shows that they care for their customers and want them to remain social distanced. They also provide free pick up during this pandemic. I have been to Kroger many times and every time I go the store is clean. There is always workers making sure the shelves are stocked up and the customers are happy. Every time I've had issues, the workers are kind and helpful. They maintain a smile on their face even when the place is full and everyone is busy. Many of the times they have a good offers on their products; in addition to the coupons they give you when you pay. Also they have rewards that can be linked to your card to receive discounts on gas. This location has really stepped up after this years renovation. The vegetable section is well stocked and attended to. They did however lose a lot of parking spots it seems putting in more handicap spot more cart retun spots and far too many online order pick up your grocery spots that people do not seem to be using. I also would have to say that when I observe the employees doing to click and shop shopping for people they way they handle the groceries tossing them in the bins I wouldn't want them doing my shopping either. The overall selection is very good with a huge health food section! Most all employees seem very helpful if you have a question. I wish they would go back to the previous version software in the self check out lanes as the new software is awful and takes for ever to check out! Still a five star store! read more

This is my go to store for grocery shopping. They honestly have it all! Lately I've seen it transform to being almost double in size, so that just makes the food options even better. They've recently added in a Starbucks, larger bakery section and a area where you can purchase pre made meals - which I've yet to try out. As far as them being involved in the community, I think they do a great job of giving back. I've asked for donations for charity events in the past and they've been more than willing to donate gift cards. Super nice. The only thing that drives me absolutely bonkers is the parking. I realize it's been a mess because of the construction, but it does cause a bit of chaos trying to finding a place to park. Hoping that clears up soon. read more

Don't like this Kroger on 116th and Cumberland but love love the one on Olio. Their selection is lacking in the gluten free. The service people are usually rude except for the deli section. Rather drive the extra time to go to the one on Olio and 116th. What a huge difference. The service people are awesome at the olio and 116th street store. The deli people always helpful. The cashiers always super nice. The guys at the Starbucks in the store are awesome too. Honestly no consistency between the stores quality. You think major chain grocery store you find better consistency in service and quality but not the case. This Kroger needs a lot of help. Very short staffed. We come here to be serviced and half the time we are bagging our own groceries. There was one lane opened and a long line. The guy scanning was very sweet but you could tell he was flustered. He wasn't scanning things correctly and had to rescan many items. Oddly enough, I don't really shop here for groceries! I'm often here for the sushi and/or bistro area in the deli/produce section. They have a seating area and lots of yummy options for lunch! As the store goes through a remodel, I can see the improvements bit by bit when I stop in. It's nice that I can enter through a door that goes straight to the deli area and avoid most of the hustle and bustle of the main grocery. read more

I used this Kroger because it was very close to my residence. Today I had an issue with the pharmacy; specifically the pharmacy manager. My physician electronically sent in prescription for a medication that is a controlled substance. I had been directed to take half a tablet/day. Unfortunately when I arrived home I saw I had capsules and could not take half. My physician called the prescription again in tablet form. The pharmacy would not release it; understandable. I explained the situation nd was told I needed to tell my "physician to get it together." I was optimistic and went in, thinking if they saw I had the original bottle we might be able to work it out. I was curtly shut down. I responded with you don't have be ugly. At that point I was accused of calling the pharmacy manager names and informed that she would no longer allow any of my prescriptions to be filled there. I was upset. Now in retrospect, I realize I do not want to do business in this hostile environment. I recommend to Kroger customers in the area that use the store at 116th and Olio. It is cleaner, has larger selection and I am cautiously optimistic a pharmacy that understand that sick people can be a tad grumpy. read more
