Great Kroger store!!! As a former Big Bear grocery store employee I love this Kroger store. It reminds me of the old Big Bear stores. Awesome deli in this store featuring Boar's Head meats and cheeses. The bakery and meat departments are also top notch. My wife and I enjoy shopping here because we can load up 2 carts and roll right through the checkout line. Please don't change this store. read more

This used to be a very good Kroger, I prefer it more than Kroger's closer to home. But now it' seems to be low on staff, flies are everywhere, and the floors look as if it haven't been cleaned. I also saw boxes of chicken just sit on the ground. They might've been in the freezer section, but they were not in the freezer. Sure they would've been cold, but I prefer my chicken in the freezer. read more

I've come here for drive through pickups a handful of times, and have half and half experiences with the kindness of employees but almost every time I'm missing something and have to request a refund, today they noticed a massive hole in our water bottle case and refused to tell us or ask if we wanted a new one so when we got home they all spilled out onto our feet, We also found out they knew about the hole based on the fact 3 water bottles were already placed in our other bags. no it wasn't a tiny hole either it was massive. Come on, yall gotta get stricter with your employees I genuinely wouldn't have cared if they just told us about the hole. read more

This Kroger has had a total turn around in the past few months. First time I went the deli was empty and filthy, produce rotten or non existent, the store was awful. Now the store is clean and well stocked! Lots of good sale items easy to find too! I will drive further to go to this store than the Kroger stores closer to me. read more

This place has gone downhill since the 90s when it had carried so much more and even had police watching the doors. Now no one cares. Cashiers go way to fast ringing up stuff and constantly forgetting coupons, krogercards and even no time for eye contact. HARDLY HAVE A CHANCE TO MAKE SURE NO MISTAKES. But every time there is a mistake! We as customers should come first. We should not have to constantly run around online shop workers taking up aisles, have to bag our own, or come back the next day for a refund because of price in ad rung up wrong. I noticed busy workers working hard doing other things but seeing missing labels and invisible prices on shelves. Items in wrong places and even expired items behind empty shelves. No time to ask them a question to busy doing something else... Where is this item at? This does not happen where I lived in other states. Most of us are barely surviving on a budget and cannot afford to miss the mark. Please get a new system to fix these problems or replace your employees with robots! read more

The store is very nice, but the people.. both the patrons and the workers are like an episode of Jerry Springer, it's a place I avoid unless i want to see drama. Every time I have been in this Kroger, I end up seeing some extremely weird family dynamic or people fighting. read more

Easy and convenient Kroger to get to since it's close to our house. Sometimes during the pandemic they have been out of items I like, such as chipotle ranch dressing, certain vegetables etc. One thing I do like is that they have flowers on clearance ($2-$5) usually in the back of the flower section so that is a nice pick me up when shopping. I recommend going here during off hours because it tends to get crowded. read more

I purchased some cooked shrimp sushi the other day at Kroger Hilliard on Cemetary Rd. The cucumbers in these rolls was so BITTER that I could barely eat several of the pieces. Modern varieties of cucumbers shouldn't be bitter. The stem end of the cucumber shouldn't be used because that's where the bitterness is concentrated if any. Don't buy their sushi until they learn how to prepare their god-awful cucumbers. read more

The store was clean enough. The produce was not well stocked, even at 1 pm, in the afternoon. What produce was out had been heavily picked over. Many of the older people working in the store were quite nice, and polite. The younger ones were quite rude. I darn near got run over by one of them who was to busy discussing football with another young worker to pay attention to where he was going. A very strange store. I will not go back. There isn't much to say about a Kroger. Yet, this location does sell liquor in a separate "room" near the pharmacy, so this is convenient and different than most. Okay selection of basics. I left with Makers Mark and Russian Standard Vodka. Like most the department has it's own cashier Also, their produce is always well stocked, especially sale items. Today the greens looked empty during lunch but I'm guessing it was due to the national ice storms interrupting deliveries. Dont get me wrong, but they've sure cleaned up this Kroger store over the past year. Pretty much to where its more current and it looks like the other 'up to date' stores in the area. Even though we do most of our grocery shopping here, I will have to say that I've experienced two problems with this store: 1) On St. Patrick's Day this year, I went into the store to get some margarita mix and a couple of limes. I walked around the produce area and you normally find the limes beside the lemons. They were no where to be found. I asked the guy that was working in the department if they had any, he went into the back, came back out a few minutes and said that they didnt have any. ON ST. PATRICK'S DAY WHEN PEOPLE ARE DRINKING? REALLY? 2) This past Monday I called to order a 2-layer chocolate birthday cake for my Mom's birthday. I could hear the woman in the bakery ask the other clerk if they had chocolate cake. From what I heard of their conversation, they only had white cake. Again, HOW does a bakery NOT have chocolate cake when its what most people ask for when ordering a birthday cake of some kind? And HOW DOES A GROCERY store not have chocolate cake???? To solve the last problem, I had to call over to another Kroger store in the area to order the cake. Talk about a disappointment! Luckily I work close to the other store and I picked up the cake on my lunch break. I dont think I'll be heading to Kroger anytime soon for cakes - at least not from the bakery dept. read more

Ten things on my list and only can get two of the items. My products I wanted are not products imported but items made in the state's. No excuse why the continued outage of products. Beware, Kroger WILL NOT HONOR CLICKLIST RESERVATIONS. I reserved a time and then went back to complete my order and my time was no longer available. Since this has happened multiple times, I called to complain. They told me that a reservation only is held until someone else requests the time slot. The only way to secure the time is to complete your purchase. What is the point of a reservation then. So, I go to Walmart. U get treated like crap there as well but at least it is refected in the prices. read more

I was looking for a few specific items for a recipe. Nothing exotic. So, I grabbed a plastic hand basket and strutted into the boutique spotlighting like a guy who just sank a long putt on the 18th hole to beat his arrogant brother-in-law the weekend after the wedding. Wow. Spent a lot of time looking for foodstuffs among the non-foodstuffs scattered about. And, the depth & breadth of food items turned out to be limited. I'm not a Walmart fan, but frankly, there is a better selection there. So, I picked up a few items here to pad my fuel points and went to Walmart to get most of the recipe ingredients. After having a couple of beers, of course. Shopping Walmart 100% sober will shorten your life. But, that's best expanded upon in another review.... This Kroger is especially lacking in ethnic food choices commonly found in most grocery stores. But, it did have throw pillows a little bigger than the size of a dishwasher. I think they were in the frozen food section. I couldn't make the connection at first. But when I found exercise equipment near the baked goods section and crock pots anchoring the health & beauty section, the logic became crystal clear. It's all about options. And options is what we work most of our lives to attain. So, I suppose I should thank this Kroger for providing options no matter where I might roam. Next time I'll get a cart. read more

I enjoy krogering. I do not enjoy their lame attempt at fuel points. On to the actual store. The staff is always friendly and ready to help. They always know where to locate that one product you have been searching for and have been up and down every isle 3 times. Fun Fact, if you know an item is available but Kroger does not carry it, you can put in a request for that specific item. Example, visiting the east coast many times they have "crab chips" which are basically chips covered in Old Bay (if you don't know what Old Bay is, you clearly have not lived! ), well they do not sell those chips in Columbus or even the Mid-West. I asked the Manager is they were able to get them and 2 weeks later they called me and had some available. I am currently working on getting some Adam Carolla's Mangreia... we will see how that goes. read more

Manager, CJ needs remedial training. Walked in and no wipes for the carts (frequent issue at this store). I asked a young man that was finishing carts if he could get me some. He went to check. Five minutes later I walk toward the customer service counter to ask and encounter the young man bagging. I asked him what happened and he said he asked and the MANAGER TOLD HIM "NOT TO WORRY ABOUT IT". He directed me to said manager, CJ. I spoke with CJ and he said they don't have any wipes for the carts. I told him I didn't appreciate being left standing in the lobby waiting for someone to return. He said that he could offer me a spray bottle and paper towels. NO APOLOGY. NO CUSTOMER SERVICE. I told him that I would just go somewhere else, thanks. CJ suddenly found his manners and responded with a cheery "You're Welcome!" This is not the first time the staff at this store have been unhelpful and/or rude. I generally like Kroger. I've shopped at Kroger my whole life and my experiences have generally been good. But management at THIS location needs to rein in their baggers. Customers don't need an item-by-item commentary on whether the food is to the baggers' liking. I would like to thank the folks at the Northshore Kroger Pharmacy for their gross inefficiencies and complete lack of empathy for the customers they serve. As a result, I have moved all of our prescriptions to Walgreen's, and immediately saved money - over $200 on one prescription alone - as well as valuable time. When Walgreen's notifies me that a prescription is ready for pickup, it really is. So thanks Kroger's - if you hadn't lied to me so many times, I'd still be overpaying for prescriptions. read more

I like this location better than the Cemetery location and it is an improvement over a few years ago. I remember this place used to be dirty and unorganized. Now it is nicely laid out and I enjoy stopping in here. They have a small sushi area with fresh sushi with free samples. Free samples always wins me over. They also have a cart with day old bakery items that sell for 40-50% off normal price. They have good prices which are better than Giant Eagle and they have started to be very competitive with Meijer and Aldis. It is a nice place to stop on my way home and provides the services I need. i have also used the Little Clinic here and I have found it to be efficient. read more

I would never buy anything from the bakery and/or fresh food section here. I went in over the summer and found gnats flying in their display cases. I mentioned it to the staff and they stated "Yeah, that happens". I go there when I need to, for essentials. But for anything else, run as fast as you can. read more

I really love shopping at this store but the pharmacy is full of rude techs that don't want to help you at all I'm always polite with service people, but I've had several poor experiences with this pharmacy. The second you have questions or problems with your insurance they get a major attitude, raise their voice and talk to you like you are stupid. At first she gave me attitude and tried to tell me my secondary insurance didn't work then when, I asked to try again it went through and cut the price in half. I tried to use the discount card for my medication that you can uses at any pharmacy, and my other family members have no problem using at Giant eagle with their insurance. She raised her voice telling me I couldn't use "4 different insurances" , when I am well aware that you can only use one and I told her it was a discount card for my medication she told me I still couldn't use both without even looking at what it was. I've had poor experiences with other techs at this location, and I've never experienced service like this anywhere else. I will be switching to another pharmacy. The 2 stars I did give were for the grocery part of the store being great. read more

Produce selection is hit or miss as far as fresh or moldy. Have found several expired items in the center aisles, the worst being two years past expiration date, as well as expired meat products (such as packaged bacon). My suggestion would be to put more emphasis/effort into rotating products when stocking shelves, and discarding expired products at the same time. This isn't rocket science, and leaves a negative impression on a customer's shopping experience. I will actually go out of my way to avoid this location. read more

Not many stores for which I have no complaints. The produce and bakery goods are fresh. The shelves are well-stocked. Most importantly, I suggested that they add two popular items to their inventory and they did it. Now it is a race to buy items other stores don't carry. For the most part, much more enjoyable shopping here as the clientele is much less weird than Walmart and Meier. Also appreciate so many sale items and gas points. ClickList is a savior. read more

Normally, I'd be giving Kroger high marks, which I actually have in the past.. But yesterday changed all that forever. I was leaving after having purchased well over $100 worth of groceries and prescription drugs when I was stopped by a large man flashing a police officer's badge. He wanted to see my receipt for the $4 prescription I'd purchased. He made a big production of it and moved me into the center of the grocery store, completely humiliating me. I pulled out the drugs and receipts were attached to each of two bags. He looked at me with a slightly embarrassed expression.. Then he looked at a blonde heavy set woman in customer service and said, "She paid for them." No apology. No "I'm sorry for our mistake."The the officer said to me, "She's the one that said you'd stolen." pointing to the blonde heavy set woman. I was sent on my way without any kind of apology from anyone. I previously liked Kroger, but with this experience, I am disgusted by Kroger's ineptitude, rudeness, and bullying attitude. The hell of it is... It turned out I was overcharged by the pharmacy! With my insurance, I should have paid NOTHING for my copay... Instead, the pharmacy tech accidentally ran it thru as a cash payment, without insurance, and therefore overcharged me. SO... I should have paid NOTHING for the prescription... And he was ready to arrest me as if I'd stolen one of their "valuable" prescriptions (worth $4)! I'm angry and insulted by the Kroger police officer and staff. They should have apologized profusely when they realized their error. Apparently, Kroger doesn't care that I spend hundreds of dollars there every month, that I've been a good customer. I'm not shopping there again. You've displayed terrible behavior, Kroger, and your staff as well as your undercover police officer need some serious training. read more

The funny thing is that this is my local Kroger I go to buy grocery. Before I would use my passport card to show proof of age countless times to purchase alcohol. They refused to sell to me this time and said I need to have a state issued card. So I went to another Kroger and used my passport card and bought it without hassle, just to see if this was the rule for every other Kroger. It sucks that I had to drive a little father out of my way for convenience. I guess a U.S. Government issued passport card is not good enough for this Kroger. read more

This Kroger never fails to let me down. Always long lines, almost no lanes open. The only pro for me is that it's less than a mile from where I live. AMY in Store Management at RHH Kroger IS A VERY NASTY INDIVIDUAL. AND WILL NEVER MAKE IT AS MANAGEMENT. Her customer service lacks any class, plus she is RUDE. It is CoVid-19 social distancing and I was in the back of the store at exactly 9pm (Store phone recording states the store closed at 10pm) and so did online. I was turning to leave as I had just heard announcement that store closed at 9pm. as I was turning away she comes up to me and catches me off guard and grabs my cart (Also within 2 feet of my face) and says the store closed 2 minutes ago YOU NEED TO LEAVE. I tell her I am, but I need on more thing (which was on the way out) and she kept grabbing my cart pushing it (it was one of the little top and bottom ones) she was practically knocking it over and was remained within 2 ft of me as she was pushing me violating my personal space. She is Crazy and has no business in customer service! Everyone is stressed about being quarantined AND she does not need to be in customer service management if she can't handle her emotions. Having previously lived in Cincinnati I was partial to Kroger. Having said this after shopping here for about two months I will never go into another Kroger again. It's dirty and the staff is among the rudest there is. I was trying to purchase an advertised special that would not ring up properly and was essentially told too bad by the cashier. When I asked to speak with a manager about it she also said it rings up how it rings up and that I was out of luck essentially. The manager woman then glanced in my cart and saw my groceries, laughed and remarked that I didn't look like the type of person to be buying fruit. I was extremely embarrassed by this as other shoppers heard and I do struggle with a weight issue. I don't like being treated this way and will be shopping elsewhere from now on. Giant Eagle, Wal-Mart, Meijer, and others are all very close by so I have plenty of choices to shop for me and my roommates, our friends, and families. read more
