I ordered a bunch of things from Santiago recently including tamales, birria tacos, birria ramen, al pastor tacos, and chips and queso. The tamales were tasty-- they have 3 diferent types and I got one of each. They were all a bit spicy so that's something to beware of because it wasn't expected. The queso was warm and creamy, it was a queso blanco, but there wasn't a large portion. I liked the tacos, but the birria tacos were served open face and without a side of consomme, definitely a little disappointing. The birria ramen was super rich, delicious, and cheesy, but very oily. The noodles themselves were cooked so much that they were quite mushy. I also wished that it came with some cilantro and onions or other veggies in it. I might order from here again, but it probably won't be my go-to if I'm craving birria. read more

Came in to order take out. You order at the register where you can access their menu by scanning the qr code. I ordered the birria pizza and was surprised that it was done in under 5 minutes. When I opened it at home and ate my first bite. I noticed it was really cold and didn't even have a cheese stretch that usually comes with birria Tacos. I felt like they just gave me a order that was already sitting in the back that no one picked up. The flavors were there and I don't want to come off as a Karen but it I think it was barely room temperature just take a look at the pictures. I've been here before the menu changed and really liked it and hope this is just a one off. Move to Columbus 10 months ago from Los Angeles and so far I have tried easily 50 different taco spots in Columbus area and this one so far has been the overall best. Quality products, food was hot made to order but I will say they are slow but that's because the kitchen is small and they stay pretty busy. Now I will say their chorizo is really good. Really wanted to like their food, but it was way too salty and greasy for me. I ordered the birria "pizza" and the birria ramen. The "pizza" was basically just a big quesadilla. It came with cilantro and onions, which helped with the saltiness a little bit, but their birria is just WAY over-seasoned. The consommé made things worse because it's even saltier than the birria itself. Keep in mind that I'm somebody who typically likes more salt on my food than the average person. The food was SO salty it was almost sickening to eat. I will praise them on the fact that they gave me four free 1 oz salsa containers (2 green and 2 red), and I actually liked the green one, but the red one just tasted like tomato juice with barely any flavor. Overall, the food was just not enjoyable for me. I don't know if this is just how birria normally tastes, or if it's just this location, but I don't recommend unless you have an inhuman salt tolerance. I think the flavor has potential if they just added less sodium. read more

Assuming Su Taco Kitchen is part of Santiago, this is for them. Legitimately one of, if not the best birria taco experiences I've had in Columbus. The tortillas were crispy and cheesy, the meat was tender and full of flavor. Their consommé added a depth to the flavor. And their rojo y verde sauces were fantastic. And this is all over a delivery order that took 20 minutes to get to me. I can't wait to try it fresh and explore more of the menu. read more

This review is for take out from Su Taco Kitchen, located inside this store. I've never shopped here, but I ordered delivery through Grubhub with a couple of friends. Everyone needs to know about this place, because it is, by far, the best Mexican food I've had in Columbus. The Pizza Birria in the center of the attached picture was basically a giant quesadilla, and it was delicious. The other stand-out item was the Ramen Birria (marked with an arrow in the picture because it's hard to see in the back there). I only got one bite of it before the rest was eaten, but from what I tasted, and what the people who ate it said, it was amazing. Everything else was really good, too. (Next time I'd skip the queso and the churros, though, and try a couple more things.) Simply put, some of the best Mexican food I have ever eaten. It's a small grocery market with a meat counter and dine-in seating in the back. Just order from the menu at the front register, and head on back to await the amazing meal you are about to have! We went for a weekend lunch and enjoyed trying lots of different things. We started with the guacamole and chips, then dug into several kinds of tacos (we loved the fish) and finished with two beautiful tamales (one pork and one chicken). They serve the food with fresh lime and fresh homemade salsas. As others have said, a true hidden gem. I am looking forward to many more delicious meals here. read more

We decided to try this place because of the great reviews. HOWEVER, after we placed an order for 6 tacos through DoorDash, there somehow was a triple charge on our card. We called the place to ask about it and they said it must have been a mistake but they had already made the food, so they could not offer a refund for the tacos we did not order. Not fully blaming the situation on the place because DoorDash seemed to mess up, but their way of handling a situation like this rubbed us wrong. read more

The ordering process is very confusing and inefficient, but the food is terrific. Making the ordering difficult is kinda the thing there, I Guess. Multiple customers came in as I was waiting for my food and couldn't figure out how to be serviced. Maybe that's what they're known for? Based second? What a hidden gem! This is a supermarket that serves food- breakfast lunch and dinner! We stopped here for breakfast. You order at the cash register and get your food by the meat department in the back. I had a breakfast burrito- chorizo, eggs, cheese, lettuce, tomato, beans and sour cream. The barbacoa taco was the best barbacoa I've ever had in my life. Crave-worthy and spectacular. The carnitas are delicious. The tamales and pozole soup (both only available on weekends) are both outstanding. And the carneceria (butcher shop) has really nice meat at really low prices. This is one of my new favorite places. Super friendly guy rang me up. The tables and pickup are in the back of the market where the meat is. It's a total hidden gem. I ordered chips and guacamole thanks to the Yelpers. They make the chips fresh and they're the best around. Same goes for the guacamole. I ordered 3 tacos. They come on double corn tortillas. I got a chorizo, al pastor, and carne asada. They were all fantastic, but I would rank them in that order. The chorizo will have me craving tacos for quite awhile. Prices are very reasonable. Super small Latinx market in Hilliard but is bursting the seams with as amazing product. Very clean, well-organized, and incredibly well-stocked. They had everything on my list from posole and maseca to avocado leaves and tender chuletas. The meat is fresh and reasonably priced and the modest produce department carries a really nice variety. I did not have time to order food from the onsite restaurant, but definitely plan on it during my next trip. It smelled so good. Will be adding it to my list of regular grocery stores. read more

Stumbled upon this place on yelp while trying to find some Mexican food. So unassuming, and never would have known it existed otherwise. The restaurant is located in the back of a supermarket, but the menus are up front (at the cash register) and you order here too. First of all---the chips are must try. They are delicious, warm pockets of greasy goodness. Seriously, the best tortilla chips I've had at a Mexican restaurant. The guac was good too! We tried a few different tacos, and the chorizo and al pastor were the winners. We also got a quesadilla, which was delicious. I can't wait to come back and try more items on the menu. Wonderful! This place is tucked right in the middle of a little grocery store. You order at the check-out register, immediately to your right when you walk in. We ordered the al pastor tacos with guacamole and a chorizo quesadilla with rice and beans. The al pastor was incredibly flavorful and tender. There was the perfect amount of accompaniments. The guacamole was fresh and chunky (just how I like it!). The chorizo was legitimate; the tortilla oozed with the oils from the chorizo--which I think is a sign of true quality chorizo. The servings were plentiful. We grabbed a bottled drink from the grocery store to drink with our meal. The owner came out and talked to us. He was extremely friendly and was very proud of his restaurant (as he should be!). I'll definitely be coming back again. read more

This little supermarket has the best tacos it's a little supermarket but in the back is a little restaurant area we have always got are food to go and there tacos are as good as anyplace in town very authentic, the steak is delicious, the el pastor , and linqua also delicious.
