I was discriminated at this Kroger by the manager named Chris. I purchased a ham 2 days ago and went to return it but I didn't have the physical receipt but I had a digital receipt. They never even looked at my digital receipt they said it's policy that they can't accept digital receipts. It didn't say it anywhere listed in the store that they couldn't. I even pulled up the policy online I have attached it to this post for review. Once I showed her she asked a co worker who told her it's up to the manager. So she called the manager over and asked him what the policy was and he said it was up to him to make the decision. Chris didn't ask me anything he just looked at me and told her to give me a gift card. I was extremely frustrated. I give Krogers between $400-600 dollars monthly between buying groceries and going to there gas stations so I was upset I asked the lady at guest services why and she said cuz you could act like you didn't return it than try to return it again or steal it from somewhere when I say I couldn't possible begin to understand what she was saying because what who is doing that not me but because I'm black yall assume I'm or would do something like that all over $19.02. Chris was extremely nonchalant and kept talking to his co worker he was extremely dismissive. I literally had to interrupt him and ask him what his name was because his behavior is unacceptable especially as a manager. I just took the gift card because I wasn't going to argue with them I couldn't not after being discriminated against. Why didn't Chris ask to see my digital receipt? Why didn't he ask me for my rewards number? Why didn't he engage in conversation with me? Why was it more important for him to dismiss what I'm talking about and talk to his colleague? Why did he look at me and than tell the lady to refund on a gift card? What encouraged his decision or should we say his bias. What discretion did he use besides a racist one. It's sad it's 2026 and we are still dealing with racism. I can easily dispute the transaction with my credit card company but I didn't and I'm not they can keep the ham which they have and my money. To make things worse I lost the gift card. This is the price they will have to pay to lose a customer. I've been shopping at Krogers for over 15 years I'm originally from Michigan and moved to Texas 3 years ago. A lot of these businesses wonder why they are struggling to keep the doors open. It's 2025 Krogers systems should be able to detect when something has been returned. No one is keep paper receipts everything is digital so a digital receipt should be fine. The lady told me she needs the physical copy so she and scratch off the item I returned it was only 1 item on the receipt and she would have known that if they looked at my digital receipt and returned my money back to my credit card. This location needs help. It appears to have been forgotten in time. The store has a decent selection but not what you would see at other large retailers. The staff is always friendly which is so nice to see. I think the store could just use an update and a good clean and would be back on top. read more

So I'm walking through the main area near the cash registers and looking at shopping list and the signs overhead. I stopped to look at the signs and this CART PUSHER asks ME if I can read. He had two signs on the floor that said "wet floor". I said, "excuse me? I know you didn't just ask me that" I said, "what's with the attitude" he asked me again if I could read the sign. I placed an order online for the bakery a week in advance where I received a confirmation text and an order number. When I arrived to pick up my order the ladies at the bakery told me there was nothing in their system for me. They told me this 3 hours before my gathering. Racist assistant store manager Ray, wouldn't let me check out even though I came in store before 11 pm. Came up to register at 11:05 and yells leave you stuff there I'm not checking no more shit out, then lies about calling the store closing, Run the camera Ray I was there before close. Just cause you are rushing up., doesn't give you the right to kick people out, you signed up for this job. 5 min after close is crazy when I'm sure you get more then a 5 min grace period to show up to work. Store is crappy every time I walk-in. I even heard a cashier ask a Asian man " does your culture eat American chicken " Someone from HR needs to step in. The produce is never fresh and you have to be careful about the expiration dates with anything in the frozen aisle. ( I never had to check frozen food before). I went to this location multiple times only to wind up with expired ice cream. I was being very careful about avoiding the expired condiments on the shelf and the expired yogurt in the dairy department. I now travel 20 minutes out of the way to go to a different Kroger than to stop at this location. read more

I'm writing this review because today my father told me a "bagger" noticed him pulling in the handicap spot and thought enough to bring my dad an electric shopping cart! They sell way expired stuff. Bought some macarons from the frozen section. Didnt think to check the date. Expired 6 months ago. Bought some chocolate soy milk some other time and it had expired way long ago.. Quite upsetting. I do not like this store. The prices suck too. It's so typical of this store to be out of an essential item. I wanted to make salmon for dinner. After picking all the vegetables sides I went to the meat department to find out that they were out of salmon. This is very irritating and a waste of time. I live very close to this Kroger, hence I choose to shop here for convenience. The store really has a great selection of products and I find things easily due to organization. Products are well priced for the consumer. However on the negative I have to comment on the outside appearance, which could be cleaner. Walking in this evening by the front doors close to the Redbox kiosk machines, there is a strong smell of urine. Usually plants cover the area, but are probably removed for Christmas tree delivery. Just a small examination of the ground, cigarette butts and trash and the odor of urine smell in the air. May I suggest management hire a company to come powerwash and clean the grounds. read more

I like the convenience of this Kroger and my familiarity of isles when shopping. Majority of the time I find everything on my list. Except for this past Mother's day weekend. I was in the mood to try DOSXX beer, I think that's how you spell it. : ) low and behold it was out of stock to my surprise. I'm sure I've seen it in stock before hand. Due to the fact the managers don't grasp the concept of customer service they received 3 stars. I understand it's all about their census and associate hours, but people lead by example. I come here all the time... but, if I give this place only two stars, why do I, right?? Well, it's actually located in my neighborhood (not many things are) and the convenience factor alone is sometimes all you need. So, it's more of an emergency / last resort stop for me... Not my weekly grocery trip. I would actually rather go to Walmart than to this Kroger (btw, Kroger people - whenever someone says that Walmart is more appealing than you, you should think about that... think hard...) Anyway, here are my issues; 1. Produce section - small & super crappy. Ex: I needed to buy cabbage; came here on a Saturday morning, there were 3 beat up cabbages... really, Kroger? Really?!! This place is always out of something though (spinach, kale, lettuce, etc...) or they're low on stock and thus the available selection is crap. 2. Meat section - Eh... OK. 3. Bread - Eh... OK. I will be driving 20 minutes to the Krogers that carried Sushi. I was so excited that this Krogers was only 9 minutes from the house. I ask the deli woman if they have Sushi she said no try another Krogers. I purchased 2 fish sandwiches and they were soggy and tasted frozen, the cheese tasted weird as well. Poor customer service. The cashiers and customer service workers spend too much time talking amongst themselves then helping customers. If you ask for help they are rude, especially the "account manager" who represented herself as the Store Manager and would not help me return two items without a receipt even though I have a Kroger's card. read more

This Kroger pharmacy is a joke! They don't know what they are doing. I was told my prescription for my newborn was put back on the shelf due to the fact it's been in their system for 12 days. My child isn't even 12 days old. The prescription was sent 4 days ago so now they have to order it. Now it's not covered and mine isn't covered and instead of calling me to tell me my prescriptions are ready or not ready or there is an issue... This is a relatively small Kroger compared to the newer ones. It is always clean inside, however it does have that outdated look that can make it look "dirty" at times. I've never had a bad interaction with staff, but I've also never had a great one. The cashiers always seem too have that "blah" look in their face like they don't want to be there. I'd much rather go to HEB or Whole Foods where the employees seem like they're happy to be at work. I do have to say though, Kroger is starting to be more competitive with pricing than they were a couple of years ago! read more

I go here several times a week since it's only a few minutes away. Perfect neighborhood grocery store and I always shop the promos from their mailers. Great meat sale prices! The only problem is the produce section: sometimes fruit is moldy or not a good selection of avocados, spinach or they will completely sell out of their promos during the peak hours (e.g after 5pm). Overall, they have everything I need and have a nice loyalty program. Definitely better than Heb on Aldine-Westfield! read more
