Kroger is a large supermarket chain with deli, bakery departments, plus health and beauty aids. I like this Kroger, it is just a 10 minute walk from my home or 2 minutes drive. It may be on the smaller side when compared to their super, supermarkets, but I find more branded name products here without having to pay a premium price. The larger stores have converted to mostly Kroger-generic brands to advertise lower cost, but in my opinion, they sacrifice quality and you get what you pay for. There are brand-name products I demand, even if I have to go to Costco, Sams Club, Publix or a smaller Kroger like this one. Super convenient location just off the highway. Very well maintained and clean store. They have the freshest seafood. The deli is clean and the fried chicken is always good. Beautiful desserts and yummy to taste. Great prices and there is always sales going on. Lines always have a little wait but it's okay for me. Could be better if they hired more workers, especially for checkout. Has all the basics and a decent produce section. Parking lot is little small and crowded, but you have other spots little faraway. I would recommend this store if you are in and around it. read more

My event has been ruined all because an employee made a decision about my order without consulting with me first. They didn't try to offer me anything. I have spent months planning this and now I will have to cancel because Kroger decided to do what they wanted to do with my order. Just stopped by this Kroger yesterday after picking my fiancé up from work. I like the layout of the one on Singleton Road in Norcross better, because it's familiar. However, this one is still very well stocked and had a lot of great sales that the Norcross one didn't seem to have when we went last. This location had a certain Japanese curry paste that I was looking for, as well as lots of healthy snack and meal ingredients that I needed. I tried a crab dip they were selling for the first time with some pita and sweet potato chips. I really liked it. It reminded me of a Cajun crab dip they sell back home on Maui at the Foodland Pukalani store. There definitely was nothing wrong with this Kroger in my eyes. The cashier was sweet and very speedy. No complaints here. I'd come again when in the area. read more

Not the best Kroger to start with. But to make things a thousand times worse, Dekalb county is currently in a boil water advisory due to a water main break yesterday. While other surrounding businesses are taking proper precautions and protecting their customers, this place decides to keep the Primo/Glacier water dispenser functioning. The Publix across the street has a Do Not Use sign on theirs. Therefore, I called the 1800 number on the machine and asked them if it was safe to consume water from this machine. They told me no, not if the county has a boiled water advisory. I informed them that the machine is still functioning and there is no note to warn customers. (I know it's working because I didn't think about the error of my ways until after I bought a gallon's worth of water). The Primo customer service representative said that the store is responsible for turning off the water and putting up a sign. I went inside to Kroger customer service desk and was told quite rudely that they are not in charge of that machine and have nothing to do with it. I then called Primo again and reported that Kroger to them. They said that Kroger's manager should have turned it off, but they will contact the manager and escalate. When I hung up the phone, another customer was pulling up to fill her container. Thank goodness I was there to warn her not to fill up. Shame on you Kroger! read more

This Kroger is clearly an embarrassment to the entire corporation. About a mile from a Kroger company southern regional office, you'd think they'd put a bit more effort into making this location look and operate as anything but the dilapidated dumpster fire that it is, but nah. You got your regional big wigs across the street and around the corner and they're pretending like they don't even know you. It's small. It hasn't been updated in years. It's missing a lot of the departments that other stores have. The bathrooms smell funny. I really hate it that this is the closest store to me and it seems to be perpetually understocked and low on produce. Out of large eggs on a weekend, only a few flimsy broccoli crowns starting to rot already. And let me tell you, I used to LOVE the Private Selection label. The breads were amazing at a reasonable price.. until they started going bad well before the expiration date and before you even opened them. read more

This place is in need of some serious upkeep. I stepped in a huge puddle and got something sticky all over my feet. I guess they think has they throw on cone near it and just let it sit all day. I have found the grumpy reviews of this Kroger to be false. This is an average Kroger. The employees here were very nice to me. I was greeted and told to have a nice day by a cashier, I was winked at by a grocery bagger, and another employee stocking meat went out of his way to say hello to me and complimented my natty locs. They made me feel like Special and like they were glad to have me shop with them. Also the store smelled perfectly fine. It's definitely not a dangerous area, that's an insane assertion. Not my usual Kroger. Which probably would have been evident to anyone since I was wandering around lost. The product placement is just weird. I found some of things that they put together in aisles was odd. And why is bakery over by the frozen foods? When produce is on the complete opposite side of the store? That is not typical. They need to make sure to be attentive to pulling items to the front of the shelf throughout the day. I didn't buy one item because I couldn't reach it and no one was around to help. I decided not to bother. They had most of the items I was looking for in stock. Kroger always has some good sales - regardless of location. Cashier was nice and no issues with using all of my coupons. However, she was in a regular lane and had no one to help her bag. I ended up bagging all of my items- which was fine. read more

I would rate this place a ZERO if allowed. This is the worst store. It's a dark, creepy little place transported to Tucker from a Stephen King novel. Watching for tendrils of fog to roll in as you check out. Only go in an absolute emergency. The employees are the best example of the lousy service having a union provides. Example: Waiting at the deli for 3 minutes while the "gurls" carry on about their personal lives. When you ask if anyone is working the deli you get attitude. I was so pissed I ran into a table of pies while storming out. Think I took a few out...sorry. Example: The cashiers are so sour faced and appear angry...all the time. Example: Cashier moving so slow that I want to take a nap just watching him. Wish Trader Joe's would come to the area as with them and Publix across the street I could get by just fine. read more

Store layout is terrible and it has a funky smell. Employees are awful and there is a general "I don't give a f*ck" attitude that permeates the air. This is not my nicest review. Simply because this is the third or fourth Kroger I have been to this week and the water that is on sale is out of stock. I go to stand in the long line at customer service only to be told Kroger is no rain checks be given on Evian water. Well when I drive to three Kroger's I find this to be a problem. Either, Kroger is not doing their due diligence in planning for the sales or they are not limiting the number of items bought. I was personally stopped from buy detergent at a closing store last week. I don't have a problem with limiting purchases I have an issue with items simply being out of stock at every store. This is a Kroger issue not Publix, Whole Foods, Spouts or evening the farmers market. I need the employees to stop blaming the pandemic for everything. Corporate office needs to set a standard or step in and look closer at what is going on in the stores in Atlanta. It's a problem. I can't even put it in words. I go into a store on a particular side of town and I buy fruit that spoils in a day and shelves barley stocked or empty. Then I go into other neighborhood store and they are fully stocked. This krogers is right across the street from Publix and Northlake mall, so in fairness, i'll usually go to the Publix, but I was on kroger's side of the street this time so I went in. When i've gone in it's only been for one or two items, so I can't speak for the other reviewers. For my experience however, it was just like any kroger. Zero stars. Went to this location to purchase an Amazon gift card. Was told by the cashier that she could not ring me up for my desired sum, and that I'd have to go to customer service, which had 5+ people in line. Obviously this is unfriendly to the customer to the point that I was unable to give kroger my business. I instead went to the Publix Supermarket, where they happily accepted my American currency. Will kroger ever contact me to apologize or compensate me for my wasted time? Doubtful. I will also be contacting Amazon, to let them know they should no longer allow kroger to sell their gift cards. This is the only Kroger that has moved all of the liquor isles to the front of the store and the whole layout is a mess. Kroger is not a liquor store, it is a grocery store! There isn't another Kroger in area that has this upfront liquor layout. For senior citizens and others with afflictions, there's a long walk to get to the actual groceries. I've been a loyal Kroger shopper since I was eight-years-old in Detroit, Michigan. I'm 78 now. It has prompted me to do most of my shopping at Publix as have most of my friends. I don't know whose genius idea this was, but it is not working for your customers. The profits you think you're making by putting liquor in the front, are being far outweighed by customer loss. The change that's needed is one of overall attitude. Because you are open 24 hrs, I occasionally shop at night when I'm cooking and need a last minute item. I've found the night time help to be rude, unhelpful and discourteous. (Another reason not to shop at Kroger at all.) What happened to friendly Kroger values? Where you are turning your back on your original reputation, Publix is picking up the gap. I've tried to talk to the manager about this; he was rude and disinterested. Some of the older employees who are cashiers are still very nice, but the newer employees are a reflection of this manager's indifferent attitude. They just don't seem to give a damn. read more

Gotta love the lower prices than Publix and their sales. This is a small Kroger so it's easy to find everything after you've gone a couple times. I had to return some rotten beverages (they weren't expired probably got hot in a warehouse) and they let me exchange it no problem. All the employees I've encountered weekly for 4 years have always been polite to me. No complaints, I prefer a smaller store for my everyday shopping and this one is it. read more

This store is near the Publix where I normally shop so the only time I EVER go here is on a holiday like Thanksgiving when Publix is closed and we need something or when I need something after Publix is closed or before they are open (this store used to be 24 hours not sure if it still is). The other day, I went to Publix for some Christmas baking items and Publix was out so I ventured to Kroger. They had what I needed but DAMN! this store has had the same problems for years... 1) The layout SUCKS, though it seems most Krogers have the same issue. 2) The place looks rundown. 3) Produce and meat look bad, but thankfully, I wasn't there for that kind of stuff. 4) I REALLY abhor how you need a card to get a deal. I hate, hate, hate, hate this. Everyone should get the deal like at Publix. When the cashiers ask you if you have a card and you say no, they treat you like an idiot. One time, I actually got into it with a cashier here because she was so adamant about me having a card and wouldn't shut up about it. Gah! Overall, the staff here acts like they hate their lives and certainly don't act like they want to be there (who can blame them??). I hate this Kroger. I'm really going to try to not need any last minute things on a holiday from now on and if we do need something from there, I'm sending someone else. The only good thing about this store is that there is a Red Box outside now, so no having to go to a Walgreens that's a little bit out of the way. Only go here because it's right up the street from home. They never have what the commerical adverstises, all open no waiting in line registers. The deli group are nice people but do not know how to cut/serve meat or cheese. This is my normal Kroger, and I can't go anywhere else. It's clean, it looks great after the recent remodel, and the staff is all very friendly. I go here a few times a week, so they all know me and my kids at this point. They have a decent selection of health food and organic stuff without totally dominating (I don't have enough money to shop at Whole Foods, I need normal people food!) I switched for a brief time to Publix, but after tracking my grocery bills, I save about 10 - 20% buying the same groceries at Kroger. read more

This is my Kroger I go to a few times each week. I like it just fine. The prices are great. I have a Value Customer Card and get online and mailed coupons that are terrific and specific to what I buy. I have had outstanding customer service. There are two young-ish male cashiers who are usually working when I go in and they are polite, friendly, and kind. The Customer Service counter is wonderful. In fact, one time, I needed a few copies made and the UPS store wasn't open yet. The woman working customer service took my papers to the office and made copies free of charge (it's not one of their usual services). It's appearance wasn't great in the past but a recent low-key remodel has helped. Our socio-economic diversity in this area can't support a store as nice as one would find in Dunwoody. I shop for food, price, and convenience, not expensive surroundings. I'd rather save money at Kroger and use it to make my home nicer than pay more to have nicer grocery store! read more
