    Smores cookie oozing

Perfect it is. Stumbled upon this super fresh place. Baked on-premises and columbe coffee was smooth. The coconut ube looked so good but my kiddo had the smores cookie and the cheesecake. Both amazingly fresh and delish. Around the corner from the LIRR on the south side of the tracks. Somehow I've never noticed it til now.

Just stopped by for the soft opening and was excited. A new nice sweets spot right by me with fresh baked goods. They bake everything in house and Cookies!! Everything look delicious! I got some cookies and they were very good. The place was brand new and fully remodeled and looking good and clean. The staff was very friendly and explain what was being offered. They will also be making custom cakes. I can't wait until they have more things to try. Will review again once I get a chance to try more items.

This is a true hidden gem in Auburndale. It's conveniently located next to the Long Island Railroad. Unlike the other cafes nearby, Perfect Sweets is very cozy and bright. The music is set at just the right volume, so I don't need headphones to study. I can also converse with my friends without yelling. I recently tried their chocolate cake, which I was told is Chef Soo's specialty. It definitely didn't disappoint! The cake was rich in chocolate yet not too sweet, pairing perfectly with my coffee. Update: Since the 14-layer chocolate cake was so good, I'm now determined to try all of Chef Soo's cakes. Today, I had the vanilla cheesecake, and wow, I was impressed. The bottom layer crumbled perfectly in my mouth. The cheesecake itself was not too sweet and not too cheesy--it was just the perfect blend. I ended up eating the whole thing by myself in one sitting. I paired it with a cold brew and it was delicious.

Adorable little place with in house made bake goods that just opened! I was attracted by the pumpkin pie but pleased by the friendly service and home feel the baked goodness I encountered. I had my pumpkin pie though it was more of a tart, the lady behind the counter explained the pastry and though it was not what I am accustomed, I really enjoyed it. I got the a few cookies to try as well, I got the Coconut Ube, Cheese and Raspberry Thumbprint and they were all very good, soft and fresh! I would certainly be back to try the other items or just to take a coffee break!

Probably my go to cafe these days! It is right by the lirr station so I usually stop by and get a quick coffee & snack before getting on the train. It is def a hidden gem that more ppl need to know about~~ every dessert that I gotten from here is good! And the owner is so sweet!!

Everything we got was delicious!! Carrot cake, banana walnut bread and earl gray cookie.

Super cute dessert shop! The service was great but the pastries and the cake!!!!! ‍ I got the 7 layer chocolate cake, rainbow cheesecake, chocolate croissant, cheese danish, almond croissant, and one of each cookies. (And they had complimentary welcome cookies for their grand opening) They were all scrumptious! I shared them with my coworkers and everyone devoured it I think I found my go to dessert spot. Def will return for sure

Drinks are fine. Handmade cookies were delicious. We ordered earl gray, cookie monster, and yellow cheese cookies. They were all great (Earl gray cookie recommended). It was a bit pricey but worth it compared to the quality of the handmade cookies. Staff (prolly boss) was really friendly.

This place is awesome! Their coffee is amazing and their sweets are beautiful. The owners and workers there are also really kind and I've been there often to get some to-go coffee on walks with my pup! :)

It took us a while to decide on what to buy partly because we were buying also for our friends. Naturally, we were asked relatedly by at least the different staff if we needed help or if we were ready to order. Each time, they seemed genuinely want to help, and made us feel welcome with their smiles and gentle demeanor. For myself, the pistachio muffin was totally satisfying and I confirm they did not slump on the nuts. The crunchy eclair was a BIG hit with our friends, and the rest is kind of a blur but I know we enjoyed everything we tried. We'd go back without hesitation. I hope they keep up the great work.

The restaurant/bakery is big with lot of seating. Great display of cakes, pastries and breads. Street parking is available. Service: the nicest people. Food: all of their cakes, pastries and breads aew amazing. But two of my favorites are: DUKE: definitely a must! Its chocolate cake with I believe a cookie crust inside. It comes in cubes so definitely easier to share. CRUNCHY: this is the very must!! It's chocolate mouse inside with layers of other chocolates. Plus with nuts on it. It's like a ferrero but bigger! Price rating: 7/10. It was not expensive a good cake. I always buy cake here for special occasions or even if I am craving cakes. Visit this, its worth it!

There's usually a line of some length during peak hours and especially around the holidays. You can tell by the sheer volume of baked goods and cakes available in their window displays that they sell a lot daily. This location is on the main drag of the little downtown section of Forest Hills, the baked goods in the front window display connect to a tall and long glass counter along the left side of the store that extends almost to the back. At the back middle and along the right side of the wall there's seating for about two dozen people at small cafe tables. They carry an assortment of traditional cakes (full and sliced), pies, cookies, pastries, cheesecakes, cupcakes, ice cream and coffee/tea drinks. A wide variety of flavors in each, so you're bound to find something sweet to satisfy most here. They are a classic bakery so from what I can tell, they don't carry items that are gluten, dairy or nut free. I've purchased their apple pie, fruit tart, berry napoleon, red velvet and chocolate fudge cakes from this or other locations in the past and they're all solid choices for desserts to share with a larger group, though I find a lot of their cake options to be on the richer side. My most recent encounter with their cakes came in the form of a slice of their seven layer cake $9.95 which is thin layers of yellow cake alternating with chocolate cream mmm pretty tasty, and their caramel cake $9.95 which had a layer of chocolate cake in the middle, sandwiched by caramel cream and white cake on either side. The latter had a pronounced caramel flavor that was enjoyable though a bit too much cream for me. My preference would be for their chocolate cakes over other cake flavors here. Their apple pie is one of my favorite apple pies anywhere tho!

Over the years, as many of those bakers retired, the number of quality bakeries slowly dwindled. One by one, many of the old favorites disappeared. So when Aphrodite's opened, I was eager--and a bit skeptical--to see if it would be worth the trip. Then I tried their mini cheese empanadas, and that settled it. These little sweet treats are unbelievably addictive. I've brought them to gatherings and shared them with friends and family, and without fail they disappear almost instantly. I honestly can't think of another baked item I've purchased that has been so universally loved. Since then, I've started exploring more of their pastries and baked goods, and each visit has been a pleasant surprise. One item seems better than the next. No, the prices are not cheap--but the quality absolutely justifies it. In this case, you really do get what you pay for. If you stop in, do yourself a favor and try the mini cheese empanadas--you'll understand why they've become my go-to order.
