Hands down the best Soft Serve Ice Cream and Ice Cream Cakes! I've been visiting this Carvel ever since I was a child. And now if I'm ever back in the neighborhood, I definitely got this place up! They've been running a special: but one large sundae, get one free! Pretty awesome! The classics are great: Chocolate, Vanilla, or Swirl...but now there are bunch of new flavors, including Biscoff! Yes, Biscoff, Europe"s favorite cookie with coffee! Tip: get the Biscoff and Chocolate together...insanely good! Carvel--America's freshest Ice Cream!

Although there are several closer Carvel locations, this is the location that I frequently visit (less nowadays... Summer is only 6 months away!). The service is always friendly and accurate. Since the recent change in management, it is running even smoother! I think most of us have fond memories of Carvel ice cream. On my last visit I was curious about their new product, butter cream. The nice young lady (I'm sorry I didn't catch her name, as she did a great job) offered me a free sample of the soft serve, and I knew then that I had found the flavor of my small milkshake. Butter cream is a delightful slice of fall fun! (There is a sentence I never thought I'd write, but I stand by it!!) The soft serve at this location is always perfect, no ice crystals, and great texture! Another favorite, which this location always seems to have on tap is the pistachio flavored soft serve. I recommend you pair this flavor with i a fudge brownie Sundae Dasher, you can thank me later. Don't forget a pack of the iconic Flying Saucers which they always have in stock and freshly made with associated flavors and add ons to choice from. Head on over for a treat, even at peak times, the line moves fast and they have a cupple of outdoor tables for when the weather is nice. I love pumpkin pie, but whomever shows up with a Fudgie the Whale is automatically the HERO of Thanksgiving dinner, he's not dubbed "The King of All Ice Cream Whales" for nothing!

Old fashioned Ice Cream shops are hard to find in this day and age of hyped up frozen yogurt treats. This place is right on Hillside Ave, a very busy street which I drive past pretty often. The place is very spaced out with a variety of ice cream pints, sandwiches, and ice cream bars placed around the wall. The ice cream cakes are placed in the center of the store. There are a few tables if you're going to be bringing your family and friends to hang out on a hot summer day or during the winter, it's never too cold for ice cream! They have special sometimes, like Wednesdays buy one pint of low fat ice cream get one free. Deals might change every so often. Master and Visa only, no Amex cards are accepted. Staff is fast, friendly and efficient. Parking in the rear of the building.

I've been visiting this Carvel location for years now. However, when I stopped in to purchase a cake recently, I was extremely disappointed by the lack of options. The freezers that were once full, had only a handful of cakes in them. The customer service I experienced that day was also terrible. My questions were met with one word responses & the girl who wrote the birthday message on my cake looked like she could've cared less about being there. In addition to that, when I cut into the cake in the evening, expecting to find even layers of chocolate and vanilla ice cream, I found that most of the cake was chocolate with only a thin layer of vanilla on top, and there were barely any crunchies. It's safe to say I won't be coming to this Carvel location again.

I just came here to get an ice cream cone. My husband got a sundae dasher. My first impression of the store it. needs a little update , I have been to other carvel much more cleaner . There was a garbage odor there maybe something leaked and they didn't notice it bother me so much I left the store after we got our dessert.

Super clean and lots of soft serve!

TOTAL UPGRADE!! It's too bad they can't start the star ratings over when a place changes ownership. This Carvel has had a complete makeover. The service is great and they have a huge selection of flavors, novelties and cakes (ones I've never even seen before) Cleaner, brighter and friendlier. If you had a bad experience before or just looking for a delicious Carvel treat they're worth a visit!

Stepping inside of this magnificent dessert emporium I became perplexed by the variety of desserts and pastries that were very desirable and readily available. In the words of Vinnie Barbarino, I'm so confused (IYKYK). It's a different setup that causes the line to move faster than it used to, I see the improvement. The ordering is done in one place and cashing out is next to it, in the same area. You still walk in and head straight to the display cases where you pick you pleasure. I did not pick my names sake only because it slipped my mind due to me being focused on breakfast. No, I don't eat cakes for breakfast. I picked up a couple croissants, apple turnover, a couple of cheese Danishes, and an almond croissant. Service was prompt and the employees were attentive as well as pleasant. I like how they approach the counter and inquire about your status versus staring at you letting you try to figure out if someone is going to help you or not. At the check out, there's the coffee station or tea. I ordered 2 French Vanilla coffees, to say the least the French vanilla flavor seemed distant to none. On the second trip it was exact same coffee request with the same results. An improvement needed is to have different sweetners for the coffee. Not everyone wants white sugar or sweet n low. Since the vanilla syrup is not sweet enough, another liquid sweetener can work. Nonetheless this was such a sweet experience! Inspire more, Yelp more!

It took us a while to decide on what to buy partly because we were buying also for our friends. Each time, they seemed genuinely want to help, and made us feel welcome with their smiles and gentle demeanor. For myself, the pistachio muffin was totally satisfying and I confirm they did not slump on the nuts. The crunchy eclair was a BIG hit with our friends, and the rest is kind of a blur but I know we enjoyed everything we tried. We'd go back without hesitation. I hope they keep up the great work.

The cold brew was just okay; it had a very strong black coffee flavor with a surprisingly small amount of the ube cold foam. I would have loved to have much more of the cold foam to add sweetness, flavor, and offset the bitter notes of the black cold brew. The butter mochi was absolutely fantastic. Crunchy edges and outside and a creamy ube forward center. The croissant was delicious too. Both were no overly sweet, which is appreciated. I would definitely get them again and I look forward to going back!
