Went in for lunch on the 26 of December, very cool building with I think 3 separate areas. Was approached by no fewer than 3 people, waiter and a few others, ( one I believed to be a Manager) all super nice and made the experience awesome. I had a blond ale which was excellent, burger as well- asked for medium rare, and came out that way- Very good! Grandkids had some nuggets and fries which they enjoyed( fries here are very good!) Next time I'm in , I'll try some other beers, and hang out awhile. They have live music as well. Breweries are a tough market; this one hits the mark! read more

Read on yelp that the food was made from scratch and being a food snob, I had to give it a try. Staff was very welcoming and friendly on arrival. The mule that I had was to die for! As well, the pretzel appetizer and Reuben sandwich, made from scratch and locally sourced ingredients, were mouth watering. Overall a wonderful meal and experience!! So glad we decided to stop here on our way from Tulsa to Austin. Conveniently located a few blocks off I-35. Don't judge the outside warehouse. Great food. Burgers are huge on a homemade bun. Beer flight with recommendations from the owner. The pies looked amazing but I barely ate half of my chicken & waffles. Service was great. We never had to ask for anything. I had been in town for a work trip and noticed that this place was getting lots of great reviews. One of the only "downfalls" is that it is inside of a bar. Now the location I sat at was nice, a little loud but I can't be upset since it was technically a bar setting. The service was good, the waitress helped me as much as they can with the menu and sought after foods. The food came out quick after I ordered and it wasn't too bad, the patty melt panini wasn't too bad, the gravy on the side made it much better. The Mac n cheese was a little dry but nothing to mark the establishment for 4 stars for. The beeer batter ice cream with apple crisps was excellent, you can taste every flavor of the beer in the ice cream and it all meshed well with the warm apple dessert. I would recommend coming and trying a cheeseburger. read more

Krootz is a decent place! Nothing over the top, but it's pretty consistent. The ambiance is mediocre as there's not really any decor or anything to invite you. The kitchen is the size of a closet so the wait tike for food is pretty long. However most of the food is very food and their beer selection has something for everyone. The cons listed aren't that big of a deal, but the biggest issue is the cost. You can easily spend $30+ per person especially with just one beer and food. At that price you'd expect a little more out of every aspect. read more

One of the few breweries we've visited that serves food with very friendly staff. We just had dinner so we just stopped by for some beer. The bar area wasn't busy so we sat there and had a chat with a nice young man. He had me try his Krootz-A-Rita Key Lime Pie and it was divine! However, if you are a chocolate lover like me, the Double Pumper Chocolate Cheesecake is to die for! It was a deliciously rich, generous slice of heaven! Really REALLY good beers in a cool atmosphere in a hot day brought us to Kootz Brewing Company - and we will DEFINITELY be back! We did not have food, but what we saw coming out to other tables looked delicious. We had just come in for a break from the heat and a place to kill some time before heading back to Dallas. We were greeted warmly and our wait read was very professional and knowledgeable about the various types and styles of beers. I had the prickly pear special brew, and it was everything you want on a hot summer day: cool, crisp, refreshing and delicious! My husband had the brown ale, which he e joyed so much he bought a 6-pack to go. They have a good selection of their beers in cans and the smaller batches are canned in growlers so you can take them home to enjoy later. 5 great beer place in downtown Gainesville stars!! read more

We went for the Gravy covered Breakfast burrito, they only serve it on Sunday during Brunch so we made a special trip back and let me tell you, it was very much worth it!! Giant burrito stuffed with cheese and all the breakfast favorites then it's grilled so the cheese is gooey and melty. The outside is then grilled so the burrito shell gets the perfect crispy texture and cover it with sausage gravy. Honestly the best breakfast burrito either of us has ever tried!! We also tried the bacon marmalade pizza, it was good but I found myself wishing I'd asked them to hold the butter garlic sauce and just spread a bit of olive oil on, then cheese, then put the dollops of marmalade on top once it comes out of the oven. It would bring out the true flavor of the bacon marmalade, which is supposed to be the star of the pizza. The way they make it, the marmalade melts and gets lost between the butter and cheese. Went there today with a large group (11). They knew the day before that we were coming. When we arrived at noon there were only 3 other customers. We were seated and had orders in by 12:15...good start. At 1:10 we had only seen the waiter once, and still had not received appetizers or any meals. I spoke plainly to the waiter that an hour wait was ridiculous. "....they're making it now"... I asked him to check. Right away my BLT came out and one salad. Over the next 10+ minutes the rest of the food came out. Speaking only for myself... BLT with Texas toast was more aptly name BLT with Texas crouton....over toasted to the point of cardboard. Cutting (sawing) the sandwich in two didn't help at all..basically inedible. Then the appetizer 1/2 order of onion rings showed up as "left over".... cold and greasy. I do know that that most plates had more than half the food left. I sent everything back...they said they would remake it..."No, it took an hour to get this version I don't have time for round 2". Spoke with the manager and told him what was wrong and that I just wanted the bill. One might think he would have knocked the price down for a meal that had one bite and was sent back..but then you might also be wrong.... $28 for the mess. Won't be back read more

Visited on a Wednesday during lunch. Definitely a local, small-town dive bar vibe. The outside and interior are pretty unassuming. It was a hot day and their bar area was a little warm, there was a big industrial fan running near us that we got used to talking over, but it definitely made it a little loud and breezy. The beer menu has something for all tastes, my friend and I tried two flights to experience a little of everything. While I wouldn't order a pint of most of them, they were all interesting to sample, and I found a couple I enjoyed. The burger and onion rings were good and the portions were huge! This place was such a nice surprise to find. I was looking for a place to burn some time and stumbled upon this brewery. The staff were very helpful and friendly. I was greeted by Kyle and presented a menu. He let me know what I could sample and informed me on one beer they were out of. I had the apple soft shine and the coffee rita. Alex also helped me out and put in a pizza order for me. Two other staff members were also attentive and walking the bar assisting customers and checking on me. I didn't get their names but it was a tall guy with dark blonde hair and facial hair and a shorter lady with dark blonde/brown hair as well. I got a flight and a pepperoni pizza with bacon well done. The food was delicious and exactly as I ordered. I was surprised at the wide variety of food and beer options. The styles of drinks definitely impressed me. It has a rustic atmosphere and doesn't look like a lot from the outside but they have lots of space if you have a larger party. Fun place. Cold day so they were busy inside. The food is way better than any pub food. Large menu. Don't know how to improve on a burger but mission accomplished. The place looks like a greasy spoon type of place which I like. Often the food is great in those places. It was here too. Worth the trip for certain. Great wait staff. The only knock was they were out of 4 of the beers I wanted to taste. Rats. As a home brewer myself, I like to try others' products. But still found 2 terrific beers. I love this place service is amazing. But that's as far as it goes. You're better off eating at sonic across the street and grabbing a 12 pack down the road. Tried 2 different flights. 8 different beers to find a good one and couldn't. I wish I could. Tried some wings( way over cooked. And some Mac and cheese for the kids didn't amount to much. Sadly the beer all taste watered down. And for the lake trash that's exactly what it was. Trash. It gets a 2 star because the service here was amazing.
