My brothers and I came here after stuffing ourselves at Hutchins BBQ. We were nearly in a food coma but had committed to visiting a brewery after lunch. Such a massive selection of brews on tap! I love that the menu shows how full or empty the kegs are, but the font is so tiny, it's nearly impossible to read unless you're sitting at the bar. Got a flight and enjoyed most of the beer I got. From Matt's interactions with guests you could tell that the Thirsty Growler definitely has its fair share of regulars. Brilliant idea with the pretzel oven behind the bar. The Thirsty Growler doesn't have a full service kitchen, but I love that they still incorporated a snack option. He's super patient and kind but outgoing and fun too--what a great mix! I'm a sours and not-beer kinda beer drinker, and this place always has something for me with so many beers on tap! On the second visit, my husband and his dad communicated the beers they liked, ordered a flight each and the guy got them perfect flights (I'm so sorry I can't remember your name, man, he works Saturday around 4-5pm). This place just opened and my husband and I decided to check it out. We came in on a Friday night and it was semi busy. The guy pouring the beers was friendly and knowledgable about the wide variety of beers they have. We came during a "tap takeover" and we had two flights of about 6 different types of beers. One thing I thought that was cool is that if you have the "untappd" app to check in beers and get badges, if you check into this spot your name scrolls across the TV in front of the bar and the same if you tweet them. It was pretty cool to see our names scroll across while we enjoyed a beer! It totally encourages people to use social media and shout them out. The inside is extremely modern with wood and bricks walls and slick and shiny cement looking floors. The bar is open, bright and clean. On all my visits, I've met a variety of interesting people that aren't bragging about every elusive beer they have sampled. After picking up some yummy dinner at Shaka around the corner, we went to Thirsty Growler and ate our dinner with some beers. I love it when brewpubs allow outside food! The brewpub is clean, bright, and casual. There is a sense of community here, with many local businesses and events that are promoted in this establishment. The beers that are offered here are plenty; there is something for everyone. I got a regular wheat ale (unfortunately I forgot the name) which was good. For a Thursday night, there were a good amount of people, as well as dogs (service dogs, I'm assuming?). This is definitely a good place to chill with family and friends. Nothing pretentious or swanky about this place - overall just a cool and casual neighborhood pub. The staff is very friendly too! I'd definitely like to come back with a group of friends, and more Shaka and maybe ice cream from Creamistry that are both just around the corner from this spot.
