There were 7 of us on the trip, and everyone had a fantastic time in no small part due to the effort that Joaquin, Marleny, and our drivers (Abel, Edgar, and Carlos) put into making our experience very special. Working with Joaquin to plan the trip was seamless and straightforward. He provided extremely useful information, and when our trip approached he and Marleny finalized the itinerary and provided us with concise yet very important information on how to cross the border and meet our driver. I had never crossed the border on foot, but it was pretty seamless. It's about a 1.5 - 2 hour drive from the border to Ensenada, and I didn't feel comfortable doing that drive on my own, so having Baja Winery Tours provide transportation was essential and eliminated the stress of getting around. Baja Winery Tours set up all the reservations at wineries and restaurants in Valle de Guadalupe. The wineries we visited were on point, and the food was absolutely spectacular. I was glad that we were able to have everything arranged, and be high quality, without having to do a ton of research. On our last full day, our dinner ran a little long and then we hit a bit of traffic getting back to the hotel. Our driver handled these issues with grace and full understanding. I would highly recommend having Baja Winery Tours provide all the logistics and travel if you're planning on visiting the area. Everyone there worked really hard to make sure we have a blast, and I look forward to coming back soon.

The pricing was super reasonable for the amount of travel time and top-tier service we received, and we felt completely safe the entire time in Baja. The wineries were beautiful, the food was amazing, and the whole day was seamless thanks to our driver Daniel -- if you book, definitely request him! I 1000% recommend Baja Winery Tours we're already planning our next one!

We spent a good amount of time at three wineries (the tour lasted about 5 hours), but it felt like it all went by so fast! We had ordered lunch at one of the wineries, and the food was delicious. However, it felt like the prices were a little high for the food we ordered. Nevertheless, they were accommodating with at least two vegan options! (Totally wish they had more) For my vegans, the panini was good! Mark (or 'Rags') was our tour guide, and he really made the day spectacular! He was knowledgeable and enthusiastic! He let us choose the music in the van while we went from place to place and gave us an itinerary of what to expect before we started! He was also very nice and joyful! He also brought out birthday cupcakes for the three birthday girls!! It was very cute! He was personable and a joy to spend the day with! I only wish the tour of the winery was longer! We only spent some time in a room to see how they made wine in clay pots! Otherwise, 10/10!!

I could not have asked for a better team to spend my wine tour with. Liz was funny, out-going, and always available to take a picture for you. We went to three wineries and each one had something special to offer. The lunch we had was exquisite. The brownie pairing with wine was amazing!!! My group had the turkey wraps, roast beef sandwiches, and the Cesar salad! Food kept us going as we sipped many great wines. I had a memorable experience and I am looking forward to seeing them again.

One thing to note, he is very strict on timing, so if you think you've got an extra five minutes, you don't.. LOL Now onto the tour itself. I've done quite a few wine tours, and unfortunately this one was my least favorite. It was also the first wine tour I've done that only visited two locations, which was a bit of a letdown. The first winery had a nice selection, we got three wine tastings. The Burgundy was my favorite from The Heritage flight. The property itself was beautiful to walk around, with amazing scenery and lots of great photo spots. We also stopped by the sweets shop and picked up a few treats. There were also surrounding shops near the winery. Personally, they weren't really my style, but that comes down to taste. If you like clothing and home décor, you might enjoy it more. Clothing prices looked to start around $50 and went up from there. The home décor shop was very cute with lots of handmade items, mostly in the $20 range and higher. I skipped the candle shop due to allergies. The charcuterie board was a nice touch and came with a good variety of items. The second wine location included five tastings. I personally wasn't a fan of the wines here. One person in our group ordered a glass from the regular menu and shared it, it was much better than the tasting options, and most of the group seemed to agree this stop was a bit of a disappointment. That said, the views were absolutely incredible. The pizza included in the tour was a highlight for me, I had the vegetarian, and it was really good. The vegetables were fresh and crisp. There wasn't much walking around at this stop, so we mostly stayed at the table and ate. My favorite parts of the tour was the food and the tour guide. I'm glad I tried it and can check another wine region off my list, even if it wasn't my favorite experience overall. For reference, we were picked up at 9:45 AM and dropped off around 3:00 PM.

We were also picked up at our hotel and were the first ones, so we had a great time getting to know Mike (the Wandering Wino) while we made the drive to get the others. Mike really did make this a great experience for all of us, what a host! Our tour was on Thursday, which we learned was significantly less busy than the weekends. We were picked up around 10am and got back to our hotel close to 4pm and it was an absolutely wonderful day! We were a group of 6 and became fast friends. We had something like 6 tastings at each place, and a discount on what you buy. We ended up leaving with a total of 2 bottles of wine and some marinara sauce. Mike was a blast, each winery was amazing, and our lunch was super tasty! They do this tour in different areas of California and I would love to check those out.

But in all that time had never done a guided winery tour, so when we decided to do one on our one year anniversary, we were recommended Grapeline and we were not disappointed! From the very beginning the person that helped us with our reservation, was helpful, supportive, and flexible, they even picked us up at our winery! Which obviously was a huge plus including dropping us off after the tour! But I have to tell you, our tour guide Liz made the day of wine tasting at 3 different wineries fun, exciting and informative. She was high energy from the minute we stepped on the tour van! (Killer playlist!) And her recommendations for the different wines at each winery were spot on! She has connections at all the wineries too, and we even got an upgrade for a tractor tour that was not part of our original tour at one of the wineries. We toured the vineyards while tasting our wines, and even went to see how the wine was made and fermented. Like I said, I have never done a guided tour but we could not have been more pleased. Bill our driver was always helpful and offering complimentary water at every stop. (stay hydrated)! Bottom line, if going to do a wine tour in Temecula you have to go with Grapeline! When we first arrived, most of us needed to use the restroom (since there isn't one on the boat), and the girl working at check-in seemed a bit annoyed by that. However, once we got on the boat, she was totally fine and helpful. A few things to note: someone in your group does have to drive the boat, so plan ahead for that. You can bring your own 21+ drinks as long as they're not in glass containers, and you'll need to bring your own ice. Once you're out on the water, it's pretty lively with lots of other boats and people. We played our own music and just hung out--it was a really fun, chill experience. The two hours definitely go by fast, so keep an eye on the time. They're strict about going over, even by a minute, so we set a timer and started heading back 30 minutes before our end time. Overall, a fun and unique experience we'd recommend!
