I had a horrible experience here. My car was towed in late August, my husband totaled my truck and unfortunately CHP placed a 30 day hold on my vehicle. My problem with Kruger's Tow was how extremely rude and impatient the front receptionist was. Her responses were always so rude, she had the worst attitude, and this was all by phone. When I finally had to come in to pay the tow fee, guess what? She was even more rude in person that she was over the phone. She made a snarky reply to my husband before storming off to the back. He simply asked "could you make sure that they're careful not to break anything else" (because everything was turned over due to the crash) obviously that was not considerate of my husband to ask, but she did not have to reply the way that she did.. which was " My team will do whatever the f*** they have to in order to gather your s****! This is my first ever yelp review. This whole team will treat u like a dog on the street! they will speak to u as if they never got taught how to speak to another human being! My car was in an accident, half a mile from there tow yard ,I asked the driver to tow it to my mother's body shop which is located in Long Beach .Her shop is Color King World ,and even told the driver I would give him an extra $30 tip if he would ,plus of course the tow fee,he said he couldn't that he had to take it to his tow yard ,and since the car is under my mother's name and they closed at 5pm,my mom had to leave her shop and pay for another tow truck to have it tow to her shop ,and the lady at the front window was so disrespectful, towards my mother. How can a tow company that works with the police steal things from cars? When my car is left with someone who has the keys, I expect them to be reliable, especially since they work with the police, who are supposedly here to protect and serve. Please make it make sense. Not only were things missing from my car, but everything in my glove compartment and trunk were moved around, as if they were searching for something more to take. This is not the first time, and I am sure it will not be the last. Twice I had to get my car out of here. (Not my fault for either.) They take forever, and make you wait forever! After I paid, the driver went out to tow a car and they made me wait until he came back. That's their policy, if there is a car that needs tow service...everyone else has to wait. Kruger Tow was very helpful w/ regards to retrieving and stowing the personal items that were in my father's truck after it was towed here after an accident. Joe was very understanding of the situation and guided us through the proper protocol in getting our stuff back. I understand that a lot of things can be stolen when vehicles are in transit from tow yard to auto shop and they were under no obligation to secure our belongings. I have to say I hate impound yards and they are slow as hell giving you back you car. But this place will try to work with you to make it a little better. My motorhome has been there three times and now my bmw but its not there doing it is the crooked carson sheriffs. These people are the ones that have people's cars taken for bs reasons and then charge you 200 for a piece of paper granting you permision to go pay to get your car out. What a scam that is. Last night I was in the unfortunate event of rolling my car and completely totaling it. It was late middle of the night and in no time at all Kruger tow was on scene and got my car to the tow yard. The very next day I was very worried coming to the tow yard knowing just how expensive tow yards can be; however coming in I was put to ease very quickly. Joe was very helpful and quick to help. He explained the whole process to me; being my car was totaled we were able to work on a deal where I was able to sell the remains to my car to him. I never imagined getting such great customer service from a tow yard. Fees were minimal and it really helped with this hard time . read more

I had to actually yell through the glass to get someone to even acknowledge my presence as we walked in. The lady said someone would be right with me, and the girl who walked up (10 minutes later AFTER I had to knock on the window AGAIN) had the WORST ATTITUDE. I'd give 0 stars. Car was recently stolen, and was told by the sheriff that it was found and towed to this place. He claimed that it was a major strip. However, when I got here the employee who helped me informed me that ONLY the battery was missing. The employee did not allow me to check out the car and investigate the differences between what I was told by the sheriff and the employee. I was not allowed to investigate it myself. I had no choice but to pay for towing to get it back home. When I arrived home, my husband and I discovered that EVERYTHING was missing. The battery, back window, front tires, wipers, front windows, radiator, and stereo was stolen. Beware! Beware! Beware! This place is completely unprofessional; they are thieves, the employees namely Sherry or Terry, is very nasty and rude. You are employed, do your job and do it professionally. My Husband's iPhone and accessories were stolen out the vehicle. When we arrived to pickup a few items namely the phone and paperwork out the vehicle, prior to being allowed to remove the vehicle, we were given all the paperwork we asked for INCLUDING the receipt for the phone which was in the box with the phone and accessories but somehow, mysteriously, there was no phone retrieved. Each time my Husband and I called about it we were given a ridiculous story about waiting for the bookkeeper to come in to check to see if it was noted. 1- Why would something in the glove box be noted in your books? 2nd- if that is the case, why would a "bookkeeper" of a "company" remove the books each day they leave the business?? Makes no sense and we are not dumb. They believe people have no common sense and will not pursue this. We are not done! You never know who knows who and we have evidence it was removed! We are currently in contact with proper channels to pursue this on a higher level. I don't care if it was only a piece of paper removed or something as expensive as a phone, it is not yours to steal! They will answer. I hope everyone reviews yelp before contacting/using a business and will steer clear of this unprofessional place. I will not give them the courtesy of calling it a business. Furthermore- it is very nasty in appearance. Broken glass from what appeared to be the front window and trash left inside. Had to press the button several times for someone to come to the front window. Was greeted with attitude. When asked to sign the release paper, I of course asked for a copy (it was the 3 part white, pink & yellow carbonless paper) I was told it would be mailed to me IF I haven't received it already. How would I have receive it already and I am signing it as you are speaking Sherry/Terry? She could have tore off my copy right then and there. She was being nasty per her MO I suppose. Luckily, my instincts told me to take a picture before handing it over, good thing I did because the copy I was mailed was literally a photocopy (black and white) of the original and there are things whited out and written over which it was not on the original and you can you clearly see in the photo I took on my phone what was whited out and written over. We couldn't believe it! I will say, they encountered the right ones this time and they are really in for it!! Beware of these unprofessional, insolent crooks! My motorcycle was stolen, then found by the police and towed here. I got dropped off to drive it home, only to realize that the ignition had been ripped out and the battery stolen. Obviously I couldn't drive it home. The clerk at the front desk, Michelle, was very understanding and let me keep it there an extra day. The man who brought our bike out was very friendly and empathetic to our situation.
