I also though the beef was chewy and not as hot to my liking. I prefer lamb on a Shwarma. In the back they have a kosher pizzeria which I tried before. 2 slices and drink for under $10 for lunch. It's hard finding kosher pizza but this will be my go to for that.

As I browsed through the photos, I worried it wasn't as "fancy" as I had hoped, so I suggested a kosher French spot instead. But when we arrived, it was closed -- so Bukharian food it was! Upon walking into Chayhana, I'll admit, I was sour. It wasn't loud, festive, or glamorous. I described it to my Beloved as, "a place I'd go at 2 AM after a night out in New York when I just wanted some quiet and good food as a nightcap." But then the food arrived. And everything shifted. Each dish greeted us with comfort, coziness, and bursting flavor. All of our senses were satisfied. It is worth noting Yalla Motek is mostly Kosher. The food is Kosher but they are open Saturdays and the process is not overseen by a Rabbi. Either way, I ate half my meal and brought home the other half. They give big portions. I really didn't care for the flavor of the meal overall. I could eat it but should have ordered something else. The food is high quality but it is not for me. The staff were very warm and hospitable. I did enjoy the Tahiti on the side. I will probably eat here again but would order something else.
