So I pretty much expect horrible service at any fast food restaurant other than chik fil a. This location was no exception to that rule. I was ignored upon entering because one employee was ringing up another. She had to get the manager to swipe for the employee discount and was dancing around waiting for him to come to the front. The manager also ignored me and the person in line behind me. The burgers were just what you'd expect from Krystal- they're something I crave once a year or so. I thought with the new building service may have improved, but that was definitely not the case. If I return, definitely using the drive thru where contact with sub par employees will be at a minimum. read more

I was very happy to see a new Krystal being built in Tuscaloosa until I placed my first order. Someone decided that corn pups should be soft instead of crunchy and I believe they've down graded the apple pie the crust is hard ( tough ) not flakey and tender like they were post remodel, I'm not sure but I believe that College kids can eat anything or they don't pay attention to anything but filling the empty space in their stomach. Is it to much to ask that fast food taste good instead of just be filling. I'd like to see Krystal review their policy on corn pups being soft and the pie crust being tough not to mention the fact I have to wring out my Krystal burgers I'm not sure the procedure for steaming burgers but these or soaked to the point of two napkin wet buns. Come on guys train, teach hire employees that want to work not just draw a pay check. I called in to ask that they start my pies before I get there so I didn't have to wait six minutes there at the store and the manager started explaining how many drive thru's and how many registers she was responsible for I just don't get it. I was very polite and didn't even mention the two bags of Krystal food in my fridge completely inedible because of holes in the corn pups and apple pies that were cooked and served without anyone taking time to make sure it was in good condition before it was served. horrible staff. terrible attitude and horrific service! the drive thru is a joke they won't even take your order in hopes you'll drive away. you can tell they don't want to work and they sabotage the customers experience purposely in hopes they won't come back. it is obvious the employees at this location of the fast food chain do not want to work and the management should be ashamed for letting this go on. I've been there multi times and ive taken photos of the receipt to prove the length of my wait. it was so bad! how they speak and at the same time ignore you. I've wrote into the corporate office four times and yet nothing has changed! I'd vote in a council meeting to close this establishment down! there are plenty of people who want a franchise in Tuscaloosa where you are welcome and able to come and come in eat and leave with feeling guilty or as if you are hated for it. So I know Krystal restaurants are not known for being top of the line. But every now and then it's nice to go. Those little burgers can be decent I suppose. But I have an onion allergy. So I simply requested a standard combo with no onions. The man in the drive thru proceeded to tell me that they would do their best to scrape the onions off of the burgers. I explained that I had an hour g and I would prefer if they just made me different sandwiches. To which he replied, no, we just won't sell them to you then. 10:45pm A person comes on the speaker saying "we down right now, systems'll be back up in 30 minutes" I said ok I'll wait here. 2 mins later a dude pops out of the back delivery door and says you can't wait here. Pull around to parking. I told him they said they were "down" last time I came a month ago too and it's awfully odd that it happened again. While explaining 3 cars pile up behind me, all of which he tells they are down. Some left and 1 parked beside me. I watch the lady pictured come out back and smoke as the others are cleaning and mopping and some just standing around inside the lobby/food prep area. 10 mins passed and I finished leaving a message for corporate and they magically are taking orders. I pull up and as I'm about to order this lady is smoking and smelling up the area, when we took a photo she decided she was done and went back in. Probably to wash her hands and get to work on those systems that are always going "down". Garbage customer service and I'd be willing to bet they put the same effort into cleanliness. read more

This Krystal's location is awful for many reasons. First, the staff is SLOW. It took us 10 minutes just to order the other night. Someone asked us for our order, than just stopped listening halfway through. We had to order 3 times for them to get the order correct, than it took another 10 minutes to actually get the food, even though there was only 2 cars in front of us. To top it all off, I ended up with severe food poisoning for 5 days after eating this! I will NEVER eat here again, so gross. I would give this a negative 5 stars if possible. read more

I love Krystal's but not at this joint. I have been here twice and both times had to park and wait for my food and nobody was behind me. The first time my order was given to someone else and had to go in and get it. The second time the burgers were so cold the cheese wasn't even melted. Definitely should have just gone to walgreens and picked up hamburgers from the frozen section. No diss to the staff there though they made the order correctly and were genuinely nice people. I did get sick after this I will admit but maybe I'm just not used to whatever quality of meat they use for their 1/10th of an inch burgers. read more

I ordered 2 double cheese Krystal for breakfast yes I knew there would be a wait and of course they said 8 minute wait I agreed.. well I wait about 24 minutes.. watching Netflix on my phone.. in i walk in and head toward the counter.. and the guy behind the counter yells I told you it would be a wait.. really.. 8 minuets going on 25 so I look at his tag and it said manager.. well as soon as he handed me my food.. 27 minuets in... I just said by the way you acted I don't know how this place is open for one yes I knew there would be a wait and I looked at my phone but 27 minuets and the way you just spoke to me was uncalled for.. I've been to Tuscaloosa Crystal several times hoping things would improve but no go. Their service is always ridiculously slow, Food is cold, stingy with their mustard, onions and pickle on a cold roll, Place is filthy, and their associates are even cold. And on a carry out order they leave out the fries. If Crystal wants to stay in business, corporate should clean house and clean up their act or they don't have a chance in today's world. Krystals are Krystals, so this review is for the location only. HORRIBLE, SLOOOOOOWWWW service!! Over 20 minutes to get our food, and this was after the guy who took our order walked away from the register without explanation (and without finishing ringing up our order). More training is apparently needed here. Only one manager in the eight staff people seemed to know what she was doing. Bathrooms were beyond disgusting. The doorknob on the one-person women's bathroom was broken, which may or may not explain the gentlemen who was in there when I went in. I'd suggest another location. read more
